Reflections – On fear of missing out – FOMO!

Reflections – On fear of missing out – FOMO!

Every single day, at the end of the day I see “pending items” in the ‘to-do list’ of the day!

It's been my life agenda to complete ‘to-do list’ easily, effortlessly and completely for the day for years.

It’s never been possible.

So, I decided to increase the number of hours per day and got up 1 hr earlier than usual. I felt accomplished at that time. Yes, now I could go for a walk – though I looked forward to going for walk for 2 hours, I could squeeze only 1 hr for it. I exercised for 1 hr which was also short of my 2hr mark.

I am glad I completed homam but hands-on and meditations were still pending at 9am. It was breakfast time and so pranayama was skipped too or should I say delayed for today.

The rest of the day went in conducting classes. At 7.30pm when I stepped in, my dishes and broom were staring at me. I swept and moped. Next, completed making dinner. Had to rush through the bath as dishes (since morn) were waiting for me. After dinner, it was time to blog. Had to catch up with the family. Gosh, time was ticking. It was well past 11 pm and yet nothing much was accomplished today – even today!

Target for June 2024

Target for June 2024

What is the target you have set for June 2024?

What are your personal targets?

What are your material targets?

What emotions/attitudes would you be aware of and work upon this month?

What is your sadhan target?

Sadhan June 2024

Sadhan June 2024

Clarification for “https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/05/sadhan-june-2024.html….”

Read the post slowly once again!

Do Emotional Healing with one person at least twice a week.

If you can do it for daily, then all the more – GOOD!

Like this, do throughout the month – every week minimum of 2 times  with one person.

You can choose to do with the same person

OR

You can do with different persons.

Choice is yours!

Important is that you do emotional healing (as taught in II degree) minimum of 2 times per week this month…

Hope it is clear!

If not, explain which sentence is difficult to understand and i'll try to explain again....

Sadhan June 2024

Sadhan June 2024

This month let’s do emotional healing at least thrice a week.

That comes to at least 12 times this month.

You can do it with a single person all through the month.

Or

You can do it with one person per week.

Or

You can do twice with a single person and that way complete doing with 6 people in your life.

Do emotional healing with people who mean a lot to you – your family and friends.

It can be even with a person with whom you haven’t fought till date – still do with that person if you like that person a lot!

Since it is with family and friends (close circle) you’ll be able to see the impact of this healing in close quarters. You’ll also be able to enjoy the benefit first hand and immediately too!

So, go now, heal and enjoy your relationships this month!

And come back with your observations, joy-filled hearts, laughter-filled homes and memories and resolutions based on experiences had/understood!!

Me, my Guru – On finding faults

It was later when we meditated that we understood a few points. It was easier to hate our flaws in others than in ourselves. When we had the same attitude in us, we justified it bringing people and situations in our life into the picture.

Take anger for example. If others were angry, we disliked that person and talked ill of him.

But, if and when we exhibited it, we said reasons like:

·        As per my astro-chart, I am short-tempered. I can do nothing about it.

·        It runs in my family

·

Everyone says I’ve taken to my grandparents or parents.

·        I don’t get angry. But because my kid doesn’t do as expected I lose my temper.

·        Before marriage I was such a calm person, you know.

This and so many such excuses justified our attitude, behavior and emotions. And because the trigger and cause was external we said we were helpless in exhibiting them. We saw it clearly today. This was enough for the day. It would need our life-time to accept this, apply it and transform ourselves accordingly!

Some days are heavy at our Guru’s place. Today was one such day!

Read the link completely and correctly...don't jump to conclusions and start the blaming game - be it your spouse or your in-laws.....what is the verdict? See that and what needs to be done - understand that and follow the RIGHT PATH!

Question time:

Can you remember the attitude that you found/find irritating in others and yet justify when you express it?

What did you learn from this post?

How are you going to apply it in your life on day-to-day basis?

Remember - Sadhan is just not 1-2 hours of using or doing some healing technique. Sadhan is also applying your understanding in your day-to-day life situations. No one changes over-night (though I can vouch for people who have dropped few qualities in an instance!!). You need to put these understandings daily and umpteen number of times - consciously making an effort till it becomes your nature! That is sadhan! And that is the very important aspect of Sadhan!

What is the use of doing the technique blindly and being the same year after year?

Me, my Guru – On finding faults

Me, my Guru – On finding faults

We all joined to making fun of Vaishnav. She listened with a smile. Few minutes later when we were done, our Guru simply posed us a question “What is the most easiest and the most difficult thing in the World?”

We went silent. Each came with the answer. But the trickiest part of the question was “Whatever was the easiest also had to be the most difficult thing”! how could that be?

After making umpteen failed attempts we accepted our defeat and sought an answer from her.

She simply said “Mistakes!”

Easy to judge when others do it and difficult to realize when we do it”.

Even without telling much, she made us realize that the easiest thing to do in the World was to find fault in others – like we were doing with Vaishnav.

The most difficult was to realize when we do it. It was equally difficult to accept when others pointed out our mistake to us.

She asked us “Haven’t you been where he is now?”

Most of us agreed we had been there. But we have moved on. And now, the same attitude was unacceptable to us. We said, “But Guruji, we are ashamed of it now. And we are accepting it. We’ve also healed it”.

“So?” that was her question.

We didn’t have an answer then.

It was later when we meditated that we understood a few points. It was easier to hate our flaws in others than in ourselves. When we had the same attitude in us, we justified it bringing people and situations in our life into the picture.

Me, my Guru – On finding faults

Me, my Guru – On finding faults

Today, I arrived earlier than usual. The class hasn’t started. Many of us had come. Few were engaged in cleaning the place. Our Guru didn’t ask us to ever. And yet, only the handful always cleaned, arranged and decorated our Guru’s place with flowers that they brought. They even brought scented candles and lighted them. This they did on their own. No one asked them to. They never mentioned it to anyone too! They were joyous when they did it. Today was no exception. I stood there looking at all they did. I found it odd that they did this week after week. I have seen them do this for years now and yet neither were they tired nor was I impressed!

As they were doing their chores I started the conversation. One thing led to another. Slowly one by one joined and the time came when everyone was talking about one and  only topic – Vaishnav. We were commenting on him and having a hearty laugh when our Guru entered the class. She sat down to meditate. We were engaged in our chatter. After some time she opened her eyes. Tea was served. It was a bit chilly today in spite of it being summer. We welcomed tea and biscuits. She drank her tea in silence. Once done, later, she asked us the reason for the commotion.

Today, I arrived earlier than usual. The class hasn’t started. Many of us had come. Few were engaged in cleaning the place. " - What is the fun of being early if all we do is while away?

And what is the purpose of coming to class if (applies to all higher degree students) we assume to just come, sit and enjoy the class (the stress here is on enjoy). We come to class to heal ourselves.

And everybody talks about 'seva' but hardly people put that into practice! And there in lies the reason for 'delay' in our healing - both inner and outer issues!

Our Guru didn’t ask us to ever. And yet, only the handful always cleaned, arranged and decorated our Guru’s place with flowers that they brought. " - Seva develops the quality of 'owning up to the responsibility of contributing to the place, relationship, company, Nation' that we have! It comes with practice. It is not to be theorised! It has to be lived and put into practice!

One who takes the initiative to do the 'unsaid' is the disciple.

The others - well, they just are 'vidyarthis' - arthi is one who seeks (like alms). Here it is one who seeks know-how! The Guru gives the same to all! And yet, a disciple receives all and vidyarthi - just little! The difference being in their state of mind and character!

They never mentioned it to anyone too! They were joyous when they did it " Anyone who is grateful would do seva! And yet, he owns it not! He doesn't go around saying 'I did it, I did it!'

Be good but don't be vocal about it!

The joy one gets when he is genuinely doing seva is all that is to receive in exchange for seva or gratitude! Nothing more! And that quality is the pre-requisite to receiving "grace" from the 'higher being'! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2023/12/grace-healings-out-of-gratitude.html

I stood there looking at all they did. I found it odd that they did this week after week. I have seen them do this for years now and yet neither were they tired nor was I impressed! " - In spite of seeing people doing it week after week, the narrator doesn't work on his attitude. He is not taking the initiative to do it. He on the contrary is finding it odd that others are doing it??!!

This is the nature of the lowest consciousness. To raise above it, only way is to give without asking. To feel responsible towards all who contribute positively in your life. To understand the importance of giving back from where you receive.

As they were doing their chores I started the conversation. One thing led to another. " - This the the classic nature of people who shun responsibilities. The feeling of entitlement is very high and they feel it is below their stature to do seva! And what do we do in such cases - start useless conversations and divert the mind of people who are doing 'seva'! Observe if that is the case and overcome it.

She sat down to meditate. We were engaged in our chatter. After some time she opened her eyes. " Guru here sits in meditation and yet the blabber continues. She is leading by example and yet, we are lost in our way of living. This is one weakness we need to address at the earliest and it is the most easiest to attend to!

On getting transformed into the object of our love!

On getting transformed into the object of our love!

Ranjha ranjha karthe mai tho ranjhe jaisi ho gayee…

Saying “Ranjha, Ranjha, I have become him..”

Heer Ranjha is the eternal love story. Heer says “Saying Ranjha, Ranjha, I have become him”.

So it is with Meera!

So it is with Radhaa!

So it is with you and me!

So, the next big question is “Who is our Ranjha?”

What do you want to become?

Who do you want to become like? Take time to find this answer. Address this question. And then, keep chanting his name and you’ll become him!

That is the secret to getting transformed easily into someone greater than you!

Points to remember and questions addressed:

  • How to transform ourselves easily into our 'real self'?
  • How to experience love?
  • Why do we attract what we attract?
  • How love and hate change for life for good or bad?
  • If you choose to love the best, you become the best eventually!
  • Hate the other for the wrong he has done and you become him eventually!
  • Choose your emotions right! They decide your path and destination!
  • Disturbing mind can't take right decisions!
  • Calm your mind to see right!
  • Disturbing emotions can't let the mind become calm!
  • Work on disturbing emotions, don't justify your emotions!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

 Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

So as you see being a Deva and Asura is based on qualities. And these qualities are something that can be developed with diligence by everyone. So one who is asura can become a deva. Similarly, one who is deva (because of his past karma and impressions) may get inclined toward negative qualities and become an asura. This sums up that ‘Attitude and sadhan are everything!” we can blame our genes, parents, environmental factors, and situations in life for who we are! But this story proves that both Indra and Virochana having the same parents, education, and food ended up being who they are!" Concluded our Guru.

She took a sip from her cup of tea. She smiled relishing it.

Our questions were answered. We knew where we lacked. We knew we couldn’t blame others for who we were!

We couldn’t’ curse Guru/Reiki/God for our destiny.

We knew we had to chalk it up with our ‘corrective steps’ towards our attitudes.

We chose to be an asura or a deva! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2018/02/old-woman-with-rice-stories-and-all.html

We can change our choice even now! Period!

Concluded....

So one who is asura can become a deva. Similarly, one who is deva (because of his past karma and impressions) may get inclined toward negative qualities and become an asura. This sums up that ‘Attitude and sadhan are everything!” - No need to hit yourself up when a asuric quality is recognised within. Just see it, accept it, work on it and overcome it.

But, many a times, I have seen in real life so many people who have advanced so much in their life in spiritual field fall to such low levels in just few days and months! That is when they leave behind their sadhan! Don't EVER BECOME ARROGANT that you have become very advanced in this line. Never presume you don't need sadhan!

NEVER!

Be in sadhan and avoid this pitfall. Be ever aware and alert about this fall!

But this story proves that both Indra and Virochana having the same parents, education, and food ended up being who they are!" Concluded our Guru. " - Read this story again and again to understand it correctly.

We are what we are because of our choices.

We can't keep blaming our situations and people in life for who we are!

We can, but that wouldn't help!

So, grow up, own up, be a man and then outgrow your limitations!

Own up to your divine nature!

Own up to your divine Self!

Own up the Kingdom of God - for you are the rightful owner of this Kingdom!

Work for it! Come out this delusion of wrong identification!

Wakeup!

We are the Masters of our fate - downfall or rise -Choice is ours to make!

Arise, awake, stop not till the goal is reached!
