Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

“Guruji, you once told us that Sage Kashyapa had two wives – Aditi and Diti. He had married two sisters. Children born to Aditi are called ‘devas’ and those born to Diti are called ‘asuras’. If they are brothers, why is there such a difference in their character?” asked one among us.***

“The reasons are many” started our Guru “One is the quality and character of their mothers. Next is how they approached their Guru and what they had learned from him. And,” she was stopped here and asked by someone here “Today, tell us how and what they learned from their Guru. That would help us to learn right from you. Maybe, that’s why not all of your students are devas or sattvic in nature. Many have turned out to be Asuras and I always wondered why. Maybe, this story will clear our doubts in this regard”

We all laughed. That was a good joke!

But, before she could continue explaining, Rahul came with tea for all. We were also served some biscuits and some snacks brought by Rahul today. He said it was to show his gratitude towards Reiki for making his life easy and comfortable.

It was after everyone had some time chit-chatting that our Guru continued narrating her story “At one time, Indra, the king of Devas and Virochana, the King of Asuras, both decided to learn about Self – the highest of Knowledge from Prajapathi, the Creator. They both sought this Knowledge from Him. He asked them to come and stay with him for 32 years as Brahmacharis (Celibates). They left their kingdoms in good hands and surrendered their 32 years in learning about Self!

In these years, Prajapati taught them the importance of good health, wealth and waking consciousness (Jagrat Avastha).

Contd.....

Pointers to understand this post:

"If they are brothers, why is there such a difference in their character?” asked one among us.***" - Look at the question carefully. The statement is very clear. The fact that Asuras and devas are brothers is already told and explained to the students. If that fact is explained, then their nature, the reason why they are called so and the reason for their enmity would also be clearly explained. And yet, the students end up asking the 'question' the answer to which has already been given!!??

Understand this! Know this! Be aware of this!

We forget even when explained.

We don't understand even when explained.

And then, we keep crying that we are not explained! (by Guru/Reiki/God).

Increase the 'worthiness' through regular healing' and then our understanding also will increase accordingly. Then, if and when we are explained something, we will both remember that and also understand that.

"And,” she was stopped here and asked by someone here “Today, tell us how and what they learned from their Guru " - Look closely at this. We choose what we want to receive. That is not wrong. That is our right. But, then we cry when we are living our choice! That is the cause of our suffering. Understand that!

"Many have turned out to be Asuras and I always wondered why. Maybe, this story will clear our doubts in this regard” " - It is always about others! Don't make your life story - others! Live your life. Don't make it always about others! Use your time and energy to understand 'yourself'. Only that understanding will benefit you. Don't waste time in judging, taunting others. You also loose your energy in these activities. Don't waste your energies on others.

We were also served some biscuits and some snacks brought by Rahul today. He said it was to show his gratitude towards Reiki for making his life easy and comfortable. " - We want others to show their gratitude. We want to benefit from their expression of gratitude. And yet, when it comes to show our gratitude, we have our excuses. We end up coming up with tears and our sob stories. Think about that!

He asked them to come and stay with him for 32 years as Brahmacharis (Celibates). They left their kingdoms in good hands and surrendered their 32 years in learning about Self! " - Look at both Indra and Virochana. Both of them are Kings of kingdoms beyond our level of understanding. None of us holds an office bigger than them! We are no way near them either. And yet, even to attend a 'day class' we have our excuses ready - always! We don't have time to heal. We don't have time to spend with our master/Guru. We don't have time to meditate. And yet, all want to be Masters.

And yet, all want to be Grand Masters.

And yet, all want their pains and sufferings to end.

Unless a person has time and interest to sit with his Guru in meditation or whatever his Guru asks him to do, he will not be able to go within and remove the cause of his suffering.

The vicious cycle of birth and death, pain and suffering is not going to end - anytime soon!
