Me, My Guru - on On being part of the Society and Social responsibilities!

Me, My Guru - on On being part of the Society and Social responsibilities!

Everytime we came with facts and were sure that she would support our stand and belief, she stressed more on such occasions on our duty, responsibilities and integrity in character. For her only that mattered and she based every action on that. To do what is ‘Right’ is Dharma and no act for her was greater than Dharma since it reflected on integrity. Her stand was clear always “What others did reflected who they were but how I acted reflected who I am. I don’t bend my rules depending upon my desires and emotions. Even if the whole world breaks the rule, her stance would be ‘I’ll follow the rule’ ONLY.” May be, that is what makes her who she is! And lack of that made us who we were! It was so simple to be ‘great’ – just don’t compromise on your integrity. This simple rule seemed so twisted and difficult for most of us. Not because of what ‘the rule’ was, but because of our intentions and motives. Our intentions clouded our emotions which in turn clouded our decisions. No doubt we were ever tensed, restless, confused and in pain. Our suffering was our own doing and yet.......

We somehow didn’t like the solution. Only time would tell if we were sensible enough to take ‘right decisions’ sooner than later.....

But for now we left her place not totally satisfied with her answer knowing it to be right though....as we preferred ‘pleasant answer’ over ‘right answer’ and so our search for such a master who would deliver what we wanted to hear continued.....

Whoever said “Right need not be pleasant” was so very right......!

Concluded.....
