Me, my Guru – On body and obesity!
Let’s look at reasons for obesity before thinking or working on ways to
combat it.
Main reason for obesity is of course – as already explained ‘over eating’.
Once a woman who was obese went to a Doctor with lots of complaints like fatigue, palpitation, restlessness, depression and so on and so forth. The Doctor was an old man with lots of experience and not the Doctor who fooled his patients and forced them to take unnecessary tests and tablets. In short, he was a ‘Doctor’ who followed his ‘oath’ to the ‘T’. So, he said ‘from today eat 3 rotis with one bowl of green vegetables and one bowl of veg/pulses thrice a day and you can have two cups each of salad and fruit daily’.
The woman asked him to write down that prescription and he did. She kept staring at the paper and then asked ‘do I eat it before or after every meal?’
I’ll leave the Doctor’s reaction to your imagination. Just make a list
of things you eat on hourly basis or better still through out the day including
the number of cups of tea/beverages/aerated drinks. Take it to a dietitian or a
Doctor and ask them to strike out unnecessary items. You can still have your
rotis (Indian bread) just don’t put ghee or butter on it and as far as possible restrict it to
3 or 4/meal. Instead of taking non-veg thrice a day, cut it to atleast twice a
day and preferably don’t eat non-veg at night. (If you are eating twice/day,
that doesn’t mean you continue so, it means you cut it to once/day and so on..)
Make your dinner as light as possible.

Here I would like to quote one more story which I heard from my friend :
Looooooong Looooooong Ago ... There lived a King who called all kinds of Doctors from his kingdom
Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, Yoga ,Allopathy etc..
He asked them to prepare such a medicine which would be good for his digestion.
For months to come they tried their best to create one but all efforts went in vain..
A saint/wise man was passing by , King asked the wise man to which the saint replied :
Only HUNGER is the best medicine for your stomach! Eat only when you feel hungry, you can savor all types of tastes, dishes but only when you are HUNGRY but not just to enjoy the taste.
God & Nature did give us a chance to enjoy all luxuries in our lives but anything excess becomes a poison, We need not go exclusively in search of one :) So eat only when you are HUNGRY..
Hope this story inspires you and you start eating/enjoying food but only as much as it's good for your health :)

Most Important, Take some time to do hands on Reiki on stomach daily after you eat ( as taught in 1st degree class by mam) . If you eat 3 times a day, do reiki immediately after you eat on all those 3 occassions. You can start with 2 mins and so on reach till 10 mins..
Its COMPLETELY OK if you fail someday in the middle, It happens with me too but don't let it happen daily. YOu need to take time for yourself , your body and your health.
This way you can live long to enjoy more tasty food :) :)
