Further to the posts on the related topic, let me add that the Tax in India is just around 30-35% whereas most of the European countries and US included have it more than 45% -60% tax....
regarding GST and such related indirect taxes - well it works out somewhere near 14% in India whereas in Other countries it is 3-4 times higher....
I am not economic savvy and not up to date with all these rates as of now but what little i remember of the times that I used to follow all tax rates and calculations I can say India is not in the top 20 tax rates countries of the world....i hope those of you who are in related field can enlighten on the said subject more clearly and with right figures...
and we complain that services and infrastructure in those countries are far better - no doubt about that but also take into consideration all factors for that - 1. population, 2. no. of people paying tax or in tax bracket 3. all the payments in those countries are paid by cheque and so hardly any black money there ...(In France they pay even 10francs by cheque so imagine and yes in grocery shops they accept cheques for 10 euros /francs too...) 4. and very high tax rates and hence collect huge sums as tax fund...
we India are good in increasing the population but are ever cribbing in paying our dues to the society which feeds us and our family.......
i think everyone should go to other countries and live there and follow those stringent rules and then they will know about India's policies......
and the funny part is in Swizerland where they charge about 60-65% tax no one complains.....in US where they pay 50% and more no one complains and here....????
