Me, my Guru – on ego!

 Contd....

Me, my Guru – on ego!

“Good to hear that. Let others hear the story of ego then” she said smiling.

Rahul and Aziz immediately intervened and said “Please Guruji, let’s take tea break. You have been talking since long. Take a break of at least 15mts. Let us continue after that” so saying Aziz brought her some fruits in a bowl and asked her to go in, eat and take rest for few minutes. She obliged with a smile. She could see their love and concern in their act. When one’s heart is pure and mind clear, it can see concern and affection even in the simple acts of the other. When the heart is filled with greed and selfishness with mind clouded by ego and anger – well, love, blessings and even grace is not recognized and validated. So sad!

It was only later; I understood that when we are restless with desire we get angry. The anger is the outcome of our attachment to our desire. And yet, we assume the other person is wrong when we are angry. We dump our anger on the other. And still consider ourselves as ‘good person’ and the other as ‘bad person’. What an irony!

Well, our Guru came back after the break and resumed our class “In a certain country was a King who was into spirituality. He would practice meditation regularly. He held his Guru at high esteem.
