Sadhan for September 2024

Let’s do “Navagraha healing” at least 3 times per week this month.

Those who don’t remember how to do the same (as taught in II dg) do “Earth healing” instead….(DO NOT CALL/WRITE TO ASK ABOUT THE SAME).

Share your experiences of the same at the end of every week or month as you please….

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

 Contd....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Pointers to understand this post:

Buddha was touched. He healed the snake and patting its hood said with a smile in a very gentle voice “I asked you not to bite. But, I didn’t ask you not to hiss”.” – see how Buddha answers the Cobra. He is not judging the snake. He is not talking with arrogance of knowledge. He is not forcing his knowledge. He is gentle.

People say “But, when we give advice, they get angry maam”. Look at the way you talk, behave and conduct yourself – even from within. Therein, lies the reason for their behavior towards your advice.

The snake smiled.”- The snake having the quality of a true shishya listened with emptiness when his Guru spoke. He didn’t complain to Buddha saying “I followed your advice trusting you and see what happened to me??!!”

He understood the teaching correctly now. It bowed to the Master and thanked him for showing the right path!” – When the person has purity of intent he will understand with a simple gesture, word or a smile even. Purity of intent is important here.

Did she listen to our conversation? But that was almost impossible!!! We were left with these questions – as ever with ourselves.” – Miracles happen all around us and in so many ways and so many times, yet because of our ego, we can’t see it or validate it.

We should learn to hiss – but not bite!” – We memorize so many tag lines in this spiritual path. We quote them right! But, living them is not something that is possible for everyone. Concentrate on living them - a little a day!

No quote is imbibed overnight. No quote is a sentence. A quote is an 'action verb' that needs to be put into practice a million times a day for it to become effective in your life!

Concluded....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

 Contd....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Pointers to understand this post:

Even if people passed our Nagaraj, it would simply slide away. Slowly people realised that it was not biting anyone anymore. Even children understood this. They no longer feared it. sometime passed. Children became so aggressive that they would stone it. It hurt badly. It would bleed and yet it didn’t bite anyone. People knowing this incident became more ferocious and vicious and started hitting it with stones and sticks whenever it came out in search of food.” – Just because you have decided to change doesn’t mean people will start respecting you or loving you. They still will hold you for your nature and attitude. You have to be persisting in your ‘changed behaviour’ for them to see the change in you.

You can’t say that if I become good they will treat me bad so I am not becoming good. – bad argument. One has to be gentle, kind and compassionate in all circumstances. No excuses there!

Many people died due to its poison. It was dreaded in that village and in the neighbouring villages too.”- the snake changed its behavior now. It is not being hit because of its ‘goodness’. Understand this correctly. It is facing all the hatred for what it had done in the past.

It had killed and hurt so many. It had controlled people with fear. When the fear goes away, then that fear in people gets changed into hatred and violence. That is exactly what happened here too.

So is the case in our life too. By changing we can’t say ‘I am forgiving them though they are hurting me’. No, they are not hurting you for what you are now. They are hurting you for what you have done in the past. They are hurting you for how you have hurt others in the past.

For what you are now, you will receive that reaction in your future. Undertand the connection correctly.

Remember, you are not being abused or hurt because you are good!

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

 Contd....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Pointers to understand this post:

Our Guru entered, sat in her seat and went into meditation. A few minutes later, she opened her eyes and said “In a certain village Buddha gave his discourse for a fortnight.” – so many times this has been expressed by the Guru. She sits in meditation whenever there is commotion. She is living what she preaches. She is showing us that in meditation we will find our answers. And yet….

One cobra, a snake was also listening to this discourse daily. On the final day as Buddha was leaving the village, this cobra came to meet Buddha. It bowed to Buddha and said “Master, I’ve been listening to your discourse every single day. I am impressed. I wish to walk the path towards Enlightenment. Please accept me as your shishya”.” – Even a poisonous snake as Cobra understood what Buddha was telling. We as humans just find excuses or ways to argue how we can’t follow being non-violent.

Buddha looking at the very huge, fat cobra willing to walk this path smiled and said “So be it!”” – If the shishya is genuine about his transformation then every Guru will accept him as his shishya – if is the condition here!

I don’t see people coming to me to change. They come to argue how they are right and how others in their life are wrong. The quality that that cobra had is a pre-requisite to be a shishya. The day you work on that, your Guru will come in your life.

Contd....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Pointers to understand this post:

Today, we arrived a bit earlier than usual. We used that time to share our woes. Some just listened. Some gave advice. Some shared their experiences similar to ours.” – See here!! People arrived earlier than usual. They could have done some sadhan. They could have meditated. When you meditate in a group it is so easy to do. Moreover, the energy one gets is also huge. But, instead they stuck to gossiping around and that too what? Talking about the lame problems of their life – did they talk to find a solution – no!  We don’t talk to find a solution.

Understand this correctly. Meditate on this! Don’t judge others. Don’t find examples in  your life to say ‘it is true maam’. See how you are dealing with your time and what you talk with others. Use time to meditate and overcome your disturbing emotions instead of talking about them and strengthening them!

How can being soft work with our kids?” lamented Vidya. We all agreed with her. She did have a point. We all shared our sob stories. – if you want solutions to your problems, work on it. understand it. meditate on it and find what is going wrong and what needs to be addressed. Be solution oriented. Your stories will be fun filled then.

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Contd....

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

No real Master or scripture wants any sadhak to suffer while walking the path toward Enlightenment.

Before understanding right you may end up having 1000 wrong understandings that you would presume to be the right one!

No issues there – keep applying your understanding and see how you fare. Also, be asking yourself “Is there a different way to understand this or put this to use?” as you keep healing and questioning your understanding, bye and by, you’ll unravel the mystery of Truth. You’ll walk from lower understanding to higher understanding. Don’t feel bad. Don’t judge yourself. Don’t get angry at the wasted time too! Just collect yourself, and walk the new understanding till a newer understanding takes over. This way you’ll find yourself getting better and better in dealing with yourself, others and life in general.”

We didn’t ask her anything. And yet we got our answers – in full. Did she listen to our conversation? But that was almost impossible!!! We were left with these questions – as ever with ourselves. We got what we sought. Now, time to make necessary changes!

We should learn to hiss – but not bite!

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Buddha was touched. He healed the snake and patting its hood said with a smile in a very gentle voice “I asked you not to bite. But, I didn’t ask you not to hiss”.

The snake smiled.

He understood the teaching correctly now. It bowed to the Master and thanked him for showing the right path!

From that day on, it would hiss at the villagers even from a distance. And the result was – they would keep away from the snake. Over time, it gained its health and self-respect. It protected itself without even hurting anyone.

So you see, being spiritual doesn’t mean becoming a door-mat or being a fool. Do not let others take you for a ride. Take a stand but not out of ego, anger or vengeance. Be firm but also be gentle. To prove your point you don’t need to hurt the other, insult the other or shout at the other. You can be calm and yet state your point. Scriptures, Masters give us “the way to lead our lives as per Dharm”. Because of lack of clarity, we don’t understand it correctly like our Nagaraj initially! And that lack of understanding becomes the cause of our suffering. But the great minds including some wonderfully blessed Reiki Masters blindly state that suffering is ‘healing’. When that suffering is actually because of our stupidity. Have clarity of thought or seek clarification from a Master who has one. Don’t blindly assume that all suffering is ‘healing’.

No, my dear – that is not so!

Do not even jump to the conclusion that such suffering is inevitable in the spiritual path. No, that also is not the case.

No real Master or scripture wants any sadhak to suffer while walking the path towards Enlightenment.

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Just mention of Nagaraj would send shivers down any man’s spine. Nagaraj enjoyed this fear.

But after listening to Buddha, it decided to practice non-violence and ahimsa. So, it stopped attacking people. There were no more deaths due to cobra bite in that village. People knowing this incident became more ferocious and vicious and started hitting it with stones and sticks whenever it came out in search of food. Out Nagaraj was bleeding regularly now. So, he stopped going out in fear of the villagers.

A few years later, bhagwan Buddha came to this village again. He came in search of his shishya – the Nagaraj. He called him out of his home – a hole! Nagaraj came out recognizing it’s Guru’s voice. It bowed to Buddha. Buddha was sad to see such a huge snake become so thin and famished. He asked Nagaraj for a reason. Nagaraj replied “Master, as per your advice, I stopped biting and killing people. So they became fearless and started attacking me whenever they saw me. Unable to bear the pain, I stopped coming out for food regularly”.

Buddha was touched. He healed the snake and patting its hood said with a smile in a very gentle voice “I asked you not to bite. But, I didn’t ask you not to hiss”.

The snake smiled.

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Me, My Guru – Hiss, but don’t bite

Today, we arrived a bit earlier than usual. We used that time to share our woes. Some just listened. Some gave advice. Some shared their experiences similar to ours.

“How can we raise our kids without shouting at them or beating them? Guru asks us to not get angry. But, when we don’t get angry, children take us for a ride. They are not afraid of us. They don’t listen to us. They don’t respect us. How can being soft work with our kids?” lamented Vidya. We all agreed with her. She did have a point. We all shared our sob stories.

Our Guru entered, sat in her seat and went into meditation. A few minutes later, she opened her eyes and said “In a certain village Buddha gave his discourse for a fortnight. He emphasized the importance of developing qualities of non-violence, forgiveness, patience, forbearance and other such qualities. He also explained how hurting and harming others – knowingly or unknowingly affected our karma – negatively. One cobra, a snake was also listening to this discourse daily. On the final day as Buddha was leaving the village, this cobra came to meet Buddha. It bowed to Buddha and said, “Master, I’ve been listening to your discourse every single day. I am impressed. I wish to walk the path towards Enlightenment. Please accept me as your shishya”.

Buddha looking at the very huge, fat cobra willing to walk this path smiled and said “So be it!”

Now our cobra – let’s call him Nagaraj had been living on the paths leading to and from the village. He would be waiting for its victims to come on its path. It would raise its hood as high as a man’s shoulders and bite its victims.

Many people died due to its poison. It was dreaded in that village and in the neighbouring villages too.

Grace healings for Saving Lions and for the animal World!

Grace healings for Saving Lions and for the animal World!

Sent Grace healings to Swathi for 3 days – for she sent Reiki for the animal kingdom further to https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/08/lions-day.html?showComment=1724032799274

Lesson to be learnt:

Many more must have sent it.

But, they didn’t give the feed back. So, they didn’t receive Grace healings!

So, do we need to ‘propagate’ to the Universe, World and God about our good deeds to receive the bounty – absolutely NO!

Never talk about the good that you have done. That is the best way to heal your karma!

But, also you can’t feel jealous that the other you had expressed their good work is getting praised.

You also can’t complain that you didn’t receive ‘grace healings’ in spite of having healed!

You can’t expect appreciation for the work done unless explicitly stated.

So – for a sadhak, it is imperative that you do all work in silence and yet not expect any returns – either in kind or otherwise for the same.

Then, why separate rules for the blog?

Here, the benefits of expressing are varied. Read https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2017/09/on-feedback.html (I have also clearly stated various benefits in old posts - share with others the same if you come across it)

How can you expect me to send Grace healings unless I know that you have done it!!?? If you don’t want Grace healings, well, that is a different story altogether though.

Why Grace healings ? https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=why+grace+healings

"The best way to guarantee receiving something that you desire is to give it first!" says the Mystic!

So, what did you learn from this post?

# heal the Earth, heal the animals, saving animals, no man is an island, grace healings, receive what you give, do good receive good, no good done ever goes waste,

Points to remember:

No good ever done goes to waste!

You receive what you give.

Give more of what you wish to receive!

Be the change you want to see!

No man is an island!

We are as safe as others are in this World - animals, plants, insects and minerals!
