A Wow moment – Miracle of the day nay lifetime – Sighting a brown hawk owl!

It’s been a couple of days since I have seen “a brown hawk owl” on my balcony! And I am not over it yet!

Wow, wow, wow moment!

I put little cooked rice for birds on the balcony daily. That day too I went to do the same. And there, sitting with the most beautiful “yellow coloured” eyes it was staring right into my eyes. It was there for a couple of minutes. And for me, my world came to a standstill there. I didn’t move. I was lost to its beauty! I kept seeing it long after it was gone.

The entire day, I was giggling like a schoolgirl when that incident came to my memory. What a day!

This was the “VERY FIRST TIME” I had seen it in my lifetime.

Owls by and large are not visible during daytime. As you know, it is nocturnal i.e., goes out only at night. So, for that reason, it was a very very very rare incident. Over and above that, owls don’t come near houses or people. That was the second rare occurrence. And my sighting it – in all these years, didn’t and then now…wow!

So, what is the moral of this story?

When we least expect “beauty or a miracle” in our life, it happens. We just can validate it, be available for it and be aware of it to enjoy it.

We can’t control such ‘miracles’ of nature to happen to us or anyone. It happens and then all we can say is “thankyou, thankyou, thankyou”.

Do your duty (here feeding birds) out of love.

Don’t expect anything to come out of it. And when you don’t expect anything, the most beautiful returns are given to you – just like that.

Contd...
