On valuing right and its consequences!
Know that you are not paying the person. You are paying in exchange for
the services you are seeking from that person. You are happy paying for
theatres. You are happy paying for amusement parks in thousands. For one-day
fun, people are ready to pay in thousands. People don’t think twice before
buying sarees and dresses worth Rs. 10,000/- and above also. And yet, for
knowledge that helps them to mitigate their suffering they are questions??? For
knowledge that helps them to mend their relationships, they are suffering????
Just look at your priorities. Just look at your value systems. There is
a large gap between giving and receiving both in your belief system and your
actions. Know that! Look within. Where is this value system coming from? Why do
you want to take more from a person who is working to ease your life and yet
you are happily paying to a person who doesn’t contribute anything substantial
in your life? Think about it.
When you look at yourself, you have the answer. This is THE REASON for
the karma – THE DEBT. ONLY those who pay happily and right value to the
person who does physical labour and the person of knowledge will be happy,
successful, satisfied, content and peaceful. Such are the people who will be
reducing their debts from their karma account. And the rest, you know the
story. Look within and all around you for this part of the story!Basis of karma is ALWAYS - DEBT. One who takes more than what he gives accrues more of it - even in present time! Remember that! And work out your karma in every aspect of your life!!!
Give, give, give - give more than you receive. Give 10 times more than what you receive. That is the secret to reducing your karma the easy way!Concluded......

True story - I know of a teacher who used to charge only Rs.100 for one month's coaching while other centers would charges Rs.500-1000 per month. She also taught many underprivileged kids for free. Students would often say they cannot pay the fee, she was too shy to even ask them to pay on time. Once a student gave the fee in torn Rs.5 notes (probably the useless notes collected from their shop, which banks were not accepting). The teacher took the notes, got tears in her eyes, dint say a word to the student and just gulped the lump in her throat. She never gave up on teaching or giving. The student who ill-treated her, could never use the education or knowledge, ended up never taking up a job.
I have felt that pain and still feel it to this day. I just want to say - if you dont think someone is worth your respect or even basic pay, then dont go to them for seeking knowledge. Just sit at home and be ignorant all your life, use your money to spend on alcohol and the other things you enjoy. Just dont insult knowledge, there's nothing more than this to ensure you remain ignorant for janmas.
I know people who have come to me asking that they want to learn reiki. They then ask how much it costs, and raise their eyebrows that why a fee is being charged to teach them. The same people have spent 1 lac on one table (in one night) consuming expensive alcohol. Same people spent more than 1 lac per person visiting a random country and have been paying therapists Rs.2-3000 per session for the past 2 years or so. But when it comes to healing and knowledge, they want everything to be given to them, as if it the Gurus duty. The small-mindedness really hurts me.
You can never pay a teacher, guru or healer! You always remain in debt, the only way to repay is to live with gratitude, understand your privilege and pay it forward. You want to learn about the world and get basic skills to earn a living? how much is the opportunity worth? how much do you want to pay for your peace of mind? without which many commit suicide? how much is your marriage worth? how much is your parents health worth? if you can come up with a number, pay that much. Can you pay that much? You cant! Then atleast pay them the basic with respect.
For the next one month, I will do reiki that all the teachers, healers and gurus in India are respected, recognized and get paid fairly for their service.
