Reflections – not personal though personal!

Reflections – not personal though personal!

Incidents in the “Reflections Series” are very simple day-to-day ones!

Don’t see them as my story. I am not telling them for you to grade me as good, excellent or so! Don't use them to form my caricature! Don't use them to paint my image in your mind!

I am just using simple acts, and incidents to reflect on “Universal Laws and Truths!”. People usually think “spirituality” is something very different from materialistic life. It is assumed we have to lead two different lives to follow these goals.

By talking about day-to-day chores, I am showing how our everyday acts can be turned into our acts of sadhan and worship. I am showing how we can convert our mundane routine chores into “healing our karma”. All we have to do is make a small shift. The shift is in the intent and the way we behave, and conduct ourselves through these small inevitable daily routines of ours.

In other places, they show us “our real nature”. How we act when no one is around is our “Real self”. We can know ourselves better through our simple acts. Our responses to our life incidents reflect our deep-down attitudes, fears, assumptions and our character. Just be alert and observe!

# reflections on day to day life, mundane routine, spirituality, using life to grow spiritually,

also read on this topic previous posts: https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2009/04/spirituality.html

Questions answered:

  • How can I practice spirituality when all I want is a materialistic world?
  • How to practice spirituality in our busy daily life?
  • By following the needs of the socio-economic structure of society, can we grow spiritually?

Points to understand:
  • Many use religion and spirituality to gain material benefits. There in lies the cause for the ups and downs that happen in their life. That's why pain and pleasure come into our lives alternatively.
  • But the day, we start using our materialistic goals and life with a spiritual mindset, the ups and downs of life no more pain us. At the start the pain starts reducing and gradually, it goes away completely.
  • Purpose of this world and world pleasures is only to experience "Who we are".
  • Religion and spirituality are two different things.
  • But the mundane routine of life and spirituality need not be separated at all.
