Receiving Rama in our lives!

Receiving Rama in our lives!

Last few days had been euphoric for the believers and followers of ‘Sanatana Dharma’. The construction of Ram Lalla Temple in Ayodhya gave ‘the pride’ in being a follower of the path that believes:

a.     There is only one God referred usually as ‘Brahman’.

b.

“Everything that is” is pervaded by HIM alone.

c.      The “Is ness” of every particle of this Universe is Brahman. And that “is ness” is what we worship when we choose a form to reach the “Unmanifested Brahman”.

d.     That all humans are equal.

e.     We all are connected and related – “Vasudhika kutumbakam”.

f.       The journey of every individual is eternal and is gradually pushing him towards his ‘spiritually better’ self!

g.    We are not humans having spiritual experiences. But, we are spiritual beings – an atman (loosely translated as soul) having human experiences.

h.     We are here to experience our ‘real nature’ through our human interactions.

i.      When we hurt the other, we hurt ourselves and when we lift the other we lift ourselves.

j.        Realization of our real self – called “moksha” or “Enlightenment” is the sole purpose of human life.

k.    Uphold the Dharma and it will uphold you.

With this understanding what RAMA actually means is beautifully expressed by Saint Kabir:
