On Worry!
On why we worry?
What is it that we are worried about? Think.
You think and write down your worry/worries on a piece of paper......and then go about seeing it/understanding it/ handling it the way I am doing with this example.......
The basis of our worry is 'desire'.
Let me look at some of my common worries -
- My children will not grow up to be fine
- my / dear ones health will deteriorate
- will not end up with 'savings' as per my plan
- me/someone dear to me will die
- will end up being a no body.......
- no one will respect me
All of these worries and any thing etc too have their basis on the fact that we 'thought/ desire' something and we are 'afraid' that that thing will happen/not happen.
We 'don't want to fall sick' or 'die' is a desire. And we are afraid that we will. So we worry!
Remember, worry is a rocking chair that keeps us busy but takes us no where and yet we rock it for it keeps us busy. Why? because in our head being 'busy' is enough to keep us 'away' from our pains and problems. It is as good as we are being productive. I repeat we assume we are working 'very hard' when we worry. Be slow here and repeat these sentences couple of times to let them get in....
But being busy doesn't reflect on the results.
It is not being pro-active. And so, we feel we are cheated (God knows who?!) inspite of being busy and working hard for the 'good results' to come our way!
Then what is the solution?
So be in sadhan about a situation that is worrying you. You all have seen results umpteen number of times when you were in sadhan. So I will not speak on that...
Just be in sadhan and the things will work out well......
Next attitude that keeps us worry machine going is 'lack of trust'. It can be on your Guru/master/ Universe/ God/Reiki or the sadhan /process of healing that you are following. So work on increasing that faith and fear will vanish.......
Where fear is there is no worry.
If you worry there is no faith!
