On love - Bhagavatam

...contd...

Everyone laughed! “See Krishna’s enemy was also a relative and most of ours too! But the good news is “they are not as wicked and as powerful as Kamsa. Challenges thrown at us are matched to our stamina and strength. He doesn’t give anything that we can’t bear. We may not ‘want’ to bear – that’s different. But we ‘can’t’ is not possible! If we want to know our ‘capacity and capabilities’ we need to face these challenges and come out winner. It is possible we fail couple of times in our attempts. No problem! Just get up, dust yourself and face it!

క్రింద పడిన వాడు చెడ్డ వాడు కాదు
పడి లేవని వాడు మూర్ఖుడు .....

Kinda padina waadu chedda wadu kaadu,

Padi levani waadu moorkhudu! (in telugu language)

One who falls in not a loser.

One who doesn’t get up after falling is a fool!

So arise, awake and rest not till the goal is reached. It can be even as simple and as intangible as ‘winning over your own fear or weakness’.
Win for your own sweet sake.
Win to feel your strength.
Win to know that you are a fighter.
Win to know that you can.

But before winning you need to get up and ‘ACT’. If you find ‘reasons’ to fail, then you’ve lost even before starting. Every goal achieved, every mile crossed, every success tasted, every medal earned started with a thought – thought that you can. You always live a moment ‘twice’ (atleast!). Once,  when you think about it and then when you actually live it. So believe you can, then you can.

If you think you can, you can. If you think you can’t, you can’t. Either way, you are always ‘right'.

We all nodded our heads knowing that what she said was true!

At this rate, could we every go half-way through Bhagavatam, I wondered.

“No need for that” said Priya when told the same. “We have heard it as a story many times and have read it too in bits and pieces. Knowing it as Krishna’s story or as a mythology didn’t serve much purpose except at wonder at Krishna’s feat. We came to her not to hear of Him. We come here basically to address our issues – be it physical, personal, professional or financial in our lives! She is giving us just those ‘keys’ to empower ourselves. How much we make use of them depends solely on our choices, understanding, willingness, effort and mainly and above all faith!”

“I heard similar explanation given by our Swamiji too!”
