On love - Bhagavatam

...contd....

“Maybe you’ve” continued Priya “but when he explains, he gives general dos and don’ts and explains in a generic way. But our Guruji specifically addresses our issues singularly!”

“That’s because her students are handful here and our Swamiji’s students are in lakhs and his ashrams spread over so many countries” Chanda retorted. She was always pro-Swamiji – her Guru whenever she came here. We never understood why she thought he was so great? Why not go to him to seek answers, healing and counselling? No, for that she would rush here, but would praise him and wouldn’t leave any stone unturned to point out that our Guruji was no match to his popularity. Our Guruji never ever seemed to be bothered about it. But not us! We felt like throttling her neck sometimes for being so mean. Taking help of our Guruji and yet vomiting so much of venom on her.

Priya was clearly irritated by now. We could see that.

Thankfully, Aziz took over.

“So true Chanda. Your Guruji is an ocean and our Guruji is just a small pond and our thirst is quenched by coming to her. That’s all!”

“Not everyone can go to ocean and hence have to satisfy themselves with the pond in their neighbourhood” she replied.

We were amused to see how her ego was satisfied with this metaphoric explanation. His statement meant something else but her ‘ego’ understood it to her convenience. Good for all! Sometimes it was best left when misunderstood.

Having done the damage that she had come to, Chandu left us to mess with some other soul’s peace. And man, were we glad? First, we laughed to our hearts’ content. Later when we started discussing this issue we realized during our discussion that ‘no matter how much good one does, it doesn’t count for people who know only to hurt people.

There always will be people who will envy you for no particular reason and insult you without provocation. They do so because deep down they are filled only with ‘hatred’ and they can give out only thing that they have.

We did tell each other that this was totally uncalled for act of hers (Chandu’s) but we can do nothing to put an end to hers’ or for that matter anyone’s act!
