That thou Art!

…contd….

So, desire is not at fault. But know why you want something and then go to work for its fulfillment. Here, I am not even suggesting that you catalogue your desire as just, right, good etc. No. Don’t. Don’t justify your desire. If you want it, you want it. That’s enough. But, know the reason for wanting it. Then when we get it, you’ll not be disillusioned as you usually are when you don’t know why you wanted something in the first place.

Case C : Getting or not getting or fulfillment of a need, desire is not a pre-requisite for happiness. ‘Happiness’ is a state of mind and that is not dependent on external possessions, situations or persons. Inshort, “one is happy inspite of being married”. It means one cannot be happy being married and yet is and to be happy one need not be married.

No. I am not quoting scriptures or doing some ‘discourse-talk’. This is fact and lived in so many different situations by so many people. It is a law – law of nature – law of soul! Hence it is applicable to all. Well, you want to apply or not is a choice you have. But you can if you want to, is a reality!

Happiness is not a station to be reached or an object to be achieved or worked for. It’s a state of existence – our Natural state of existence. Since we are bliss!

How do you know its ‘our state of existence’?

We all do believe that a higher power exists that’s created us. Since there’s creation, there’s aught to be a creator.

How do you visualize or paint your creator?

As ocean of love, knowledge, bliss, external and peaceful

OR

Demonic, manipulative, stupid.

Certainly not demonic etc but as knowledge, bliss, eternal, peaceful. And he created us as His reflection.

Aap khud ko dekhne ke vaasthe

Hum ko aina banaya yaar ne.

To see himself,

He made me his mirror.

(Sufi saint)

God created man in His own image - Genesis 1:27, Bible

Tat Tvam Asi (That Thou Art): This is contained in the Chhandogya Upanishad of Sama Veda – Vedic Philosophy

It’s said everywhere that I am His reflection. So, if A=B and B=C then C=A. likewise,

God = knowledge, bliss

Man=God

Therefore man=bliss, knowledge

If it be so, why can’t I experience that?

Good question. Because of ignorance which is termed as ‘Maya’.
