Help others to tide over your problems!

…contd….

But, as you experience these emotions just stick to sadhan – preferably regularly. Even if you are not regular don’t feel bad. Apart from sadhan or when unable to do sadhan do the following (whichever relaxes you) –

1.       Listen to music
2.       Watch movies
3.       Take a walk and preferably make it a ‘must routine’ atleast for ½ hr daily – twice may be.
4.       Do yoga preferably or exercise. You can be irregular but do it. When I say irregular, I mean atleast 3-4 times per week – not once in a month.
5.       Join swimming classes, dancing or aerobic classes if possible. Take to some hobby that you long since wanted and if it is physical in nature better.
6.       Pick an orphanage or an old age home near your home and visit regularly – atleast 3 times/week and teach them whatever you know. Spend time with them. To understand why listen to tum besahara ho tho from Anurodh
7.       Go to temple near your house preferably at same time daily (or as many times as possible/week) and do (circumbation) pradikshanam atleast 108 times. If not possible start with 21 times. While you are at temple chant 108 times on mantra. Gradually increase it to 7 malas or 7*108 times.

Nothing beats depression, loneliness like selflessness. The more the person thinks about himself, his desire, his life, his pain, his suffering the more he’ll be depressed. So do the opposite. Give your know-how, time to others.

Duniya mein kitna gum hai
Mera gum kitna kum hal….

Looking at the pain in the world
I realized how little I have….

All this is fine but how will I know “God’s chahat” (His will)?

Buddha

Once in a village a notorious thief became jealous of a Buddha who was regarded as the ‘most pious man’ by the villagers and gave due respect to him. This thief went to meet the Buddha in the dead of night and looking at him said “people may not see through your garb but I can. All I can see in you is he most manipulative thief who is so smart that he’s not yet caught. You are no Buddha as people say”. To this Buddha smiled and said “Yes, I see that. That’s no problem. Because I can see only Buddha in you.”

The thief went out in a huff and started telling one and all that the Buddha was a fraud.

So you see one can see only oneself in the other. Because Buddha was Buddha, he saw Buddha in the thief but thief being himself could see himself in Buddha. In short to recognize or understand even a Guru or a Buddha one should be a Buddha or atleast have Buddha like qualities to say the least.
