‘But, everyone does for these
reasons only?’ Santosh said ‘so what’s wrong in these reasons? And what else
could be the reason?’ he asked totally confused.
‘and hence everyone is suffering
alike in marriage.’ She replied with a smile.
Everyone laughed!
‘No doubt, we have sayings like
‘Man yearns for wife before and earns for one after the marriage’.‘Man is incomplete
before marriage and finished after!’
Because the start point is wrong,
the journey is all through painful for the parties involved.
When you marry ‘to be happy’ in marriage. You expect ‘the other ‘ to
fit into your ‘bill of expectations’ and the ‘other’ (including Prince Charles
) would fail horribly – for sure! And
you feel cheated and go around saying ‘you are the suffering party’ when in
actuality it could be the other way round in most of the cases!
When a person ‘wants to be happy
and settled’ and hence gets married – it means he is not ‘settled now and not
happy too’. An unhappy and unsettled person can never ever be happy and feel
secured – even with the God himself! An incomplete person is like a desert sand
or a dead well – however much water you pour into it, it would remain dry. And incomplete, insecure person is like that.
‘Then, pray tell us, for what
reason one should get married?’ asked Vinay.
