End Times

Refer to comment dt. 27/6/14 on gratitude "And I’ve seen of late that since it is end times, its happening sooner than later" Does the above lines indicate the "Kaliyug"? Specially the word "end times." (I very well remember you saying in a reiki meet that we still have 1000's of years of Kaliyug to pass by but still if you see it on a whole kaliyug is like an end time only) on On Gratitude

I am glad Vaibhav that you asked this question.  It means someone was listening to what I was saying in reiki meet.  Good – jokes apart ….yes, I did explain that kaliyuga has a span of lakhs of  years and we’ve completed just 5000 years of it.  That was to explain that we don’t have to fear end of world.  That’s a physical question.  That means it’s with regards to physical existence of world. 

But, when I said “End times,” I meant with regards to “Kaliyuga”.  The yuga itself is the last one of creation and with it’s start itself, it’s self-evident that the end of world is around the corner (though 4,32,00,000 years away….).  Know that it is the shortest of all yugas – i.e., satya, treta and dwapara yuga.  And hence “kali” is given full control of the yuga.  So, it is difficult for any man to even think of God what with shortest of life spans, diseases, socio-economic unrest and the general nature of people being far away from “Dharma” – God has made sadhan very simple and easily and immediately effective – i.e, if one prays, just chants the name of the God, he gets results – unlike other yugas where people would do intense penance just to get one of their wishes fulfilled.  This incentive is to encourage people to be in sadhan and thereby heal their karmas easily and completely (if they so desire!) and thereby experience liberation/moksha.

But just as candies are given immediately for one’s sadhan, karma, (-ve) also come back immediately in these times.  In short, what you sow you reap.  Very soon!

One reason is since, life is short and the temptations many and it is common to be manipulative, if people are allowed to see the repercussions of theirs/others actions immediately – if one follows his words/actions he’ll relate to karma and that may be deterrent to commit wrong and be useful in helping him to walk the right path……
