On religion and peace!
On religion and peace! More wars are fought in the name of religion than anything else.....religion is for peace and to develop divine qualities in us and if it does not do it, does it matter which religion I follow? Think about it!
Greetings Mam, I wanted to share an experience I had on Maha-Shivratri this year. I went to temple in the evening, completed Darshan and Pooja of God shiva present in the form of Shiv Ling in the temple. While doing all this, I saw people who had come before me had left so many cut fruits openly near Shiv Ling and Nandi, I felt so bad that all this food would go waste, I was mentally praying to God shiva that some one should take this prasad home or atleast give it to cows etc..but I could not find any.
After my pooja I went to priest of temple and asked him if there is any maid who would take the Full Fruits (One's with skin) and he said yes and he showed me her, I felt so happy and I asked her to come with me near the shiv ling, she got some packets and both of us started to pick all good fruits which she could take home, I suggested her that she & her family can 1st finish fresh fruits for today and tomorrow and 20-30 coconut shells present there she should keep it for drying in sun and then take it to the Oil Shop just opposite to the temple where that merchant gives Coconut oil in exchange of dried coconuts to which she said Ok.
There were still few fruits which were left over was feeling very bad that those would be wasted and was mentally praying to God Shiva to do justice to them. I sat in the temple for few more minutes after this & I was about to leave and to my surprise I found that there were 2 buffaloes near the temple gate, I left my slippers and walked back into the temple to get those left over fruits and I fed them to one of those buffaloes as the other one sniffed and kept walking. I felt so nice and blessed that I could be a part of this process and stop wastage of food, Over and above I felt so blessed and valued that God Shiva responded to my prayer. This really made my day and strengthened my faith in God Shiva.
