Blessing that turned into curse – Me, My Guru

He fell in love with her and sought her hand in marriage. She agreed on a condition that he matches his dance steps with hers. He agreed, amused. She started to dance and he followed suit. As he became engrossed in the dance along with Mohini, Mohini placed her hand on her head and Bhasmasura  his hand on his head too and lo! He immediately was on fire and turned to ash! So when a wrong doer seeks for a boon, it is granted but that very blessing is the curse that he deserves for his deeds and attitudes. ***

Lobhi ko lobh aur balwaan ko ahankaan use maartha hai.

Greedy meets his end/downfall because of his greed and a powerful person meets his death because of his arrogance.

Just because a person is bad, God doesn’t stop listening to his prayers. Everyone’s prayers are answered. If a wrong doer does penance or pooja (devotional ritual), then in exchange, he is blessed with his asking. But his “attitude” and “karma” catch up with him through that very blessing that he sought. How ironic is that!

And people think they are smart enough to cheat XX and God! How pathetic and shallow is their vision of God and what arrogance to think that in exchange for their “little offerings” they not only seek opulence, but also think they can get away from their karma or destiny. Such naïve webs these fools weave!

(*** Stories in Indian Mythology are just not woven to entertain. They are not works of fiction or some writers fanciful works! They are works that educate people on how to be and how not to be. They teach the consequences of our every act and attitude! They show with examples the cause and effect in our lives. They tell us how our choices make or break our fate.)

Points to ponder :

Our attitudes reflect our 'karma' and destiny! And we carry our attitudes with us all the time........so wherever we go our network follows....

How justified is our blaming God/guru for our hardships?

Unless we own up our role in our fate, we can never walk the path to correct it even if an opportunity is served on plate! We end up saying "I am fine, it's just that I want XYZ wish to be fulfilled and so see no need for 'self healing'! " WOW!

# fate and destiny, on self healing, Indian Mythology, Mohini Basmasura, blessing that turns into curse, we get what we deserve even through what we desire, karma
