On soulmates and love!

On soulmates and love!

Don’t swipe for a soulmate. Build a soul so strong that even death respects your discipline!

“Khudi ko kar kuch ithna buland ke khud khuda aake tujhse pooche ke bol bande teri razaa kya hai?”

“Make yourself so strong that the God himself is forced to come down and ask you “Pray, tell me your wish!”

People wish for someone to make them happy, complete and secure. And all the ads have been so twisted to make you believe that it is so!!!!

But, the truth, the absolute Truth is just the opposite of all this "romantic beliefs" that people carry with them. The broken will never find "True love". Soulmate doesn't make you feel secure or complete. On the contrary he makes you question every belief you held of "security". He will rattle your security, beliefs and every way possible till you find "yourself". Then when the job is done, he may or may not be part of your life. His job was to just help you navigate towards yourself - that's all!

That is the hard way to do it. There is a sensible way to go about the whole thing too - start the journey within - all by yourself! Don't wait for anyone to come along. Don't wait of any goodies to come your way for you are doing this painful job! Just do it for it is the only sensible and needed thing to do in life! Just do it for it is essential for you! Just do it for it takes you towards completeness, peace and security. Then, many times when you are whole on your own and don't want or need anyone, then walks in "your soulmate" to show how it is to share something whole with the other whole"! And that my dear, is the time "One actually truly loves and experiences love".

Not the other way round!

Let go to be peaceful and happy!

Let go to be peaceful and happy!

The cause of all evil is our desire to be superior to others and our selfishness!

The cause of all suffering is our desire to have it our way ONLY! The more we let go of our adamant nature the less we suffer!

The more we let go off of our controlling nature, the better is our relationships.

The more we let go off of the demand to have and lead a life “as per our imagination”, less are the  problems we have in life.

We are fixated in our tastes and preferences. Nothing wrong in that – until those very tastes and preferences become so important and big that we consider everything else happening and receiving in our life as “suffering”. Change this perspective and lo! There was never a problem.

And therefore, inspite of you looking to solve a problem you didn’t get a solution and there can be no solution given to a problem that never was!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

 Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

So as you see being a Deva and Asura is based on qualities. And these qualities are something that can be developed with diligence by everyone. So one who is asura can become a deva. Similarly, one who is deva (because of his past karma and impressions) may get inclined toward negative qualities and become an asura. This sums up that ‘Attitude and sadhan are everything!” we can blame our genes, parents, environmental factors, and situations in life for who we are! But this story proves that both Indra and Virochana having the same parents, education, and food ended up being who they are!" Concluded our Guru.

She took a sip from her cup of tea. She smiled relishing it.

Our questions were answered. We knew where we lacked. We knew we couldn’t blame others for who we were!

We couldn’t’ curse Guru/Reiki/God for our destiny.

We knew we had to chalk it up with our ‘corrective steps’ towards our attitudes.

We chose to be an asura or a deva! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2018/02/old-woman-with-rice-stories-and-all.html

We can change our choice even now! Period!

Concluded....

" So one who is asura can become a deva. Similarly, one who is deva (because of his past karma and impressions) may get inclined toward negative qualities and become an asura. This sums up that ‘Attitude and sadhan are everything!” - No need to hit yourself up when a asuric quality is recognised within. Just see it, accept it, work on it and overcome it.

But, many a times, I have seen in real life so many people who have advanced so much in their life in spiritual field fall to such low levels in just few days and months! That is when they leave behind their sadhan! Don't EVER BECOME ARROGANT that you have become very advanced in this line. Never presume you don't need sadhan!

NEVER!

Be in sadhan and avoid this pitfall. Be ever aware and alert about this fall!

" But this story proves that both Indra and Virochana having the same parents, education, and food ended up being who they are!" Concluded our Guru. " - Read this story again and again to understand it correctly.

We are what we are because of our choices.

We can't keep blaming our situations and people in life for who we are!

We can, but that wouldn't help!

So, grow up, own up, be a man and then outgrow your limitations!

Own up to your divine nature!

Own up to your divine Self!

Own up the Kingdom of God - for you are the rightful owner of this Kingdom!

Work for it! Come out this delusion of wrong identification!

Wakeup!

We are the Masters of our fate - downfall or rise -Choice is ours to make!

Arise, awake, stop not till the goal is reached!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

 Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

He respected his Guru’s discretion in teaching. He didn’t see it as wrong and called it as his Guru trying to withhold Knowledge at every step. He didn’t blame his Guru as being egoistic, manipulative and demanding with his students. His humility (real one, not the pretended humility as many) was the essential quality that made him eligible to come for the next level of learning.

Indra had gratitude. Respect is imperative in gratitude. Loose talking and then covering it with statements like “Oh, did I say so, I don’t remember” or “I didn’t mean to insult you but, maybe because I don’t know how to express right or I am not as good as you in giving justifications, maybe it came out wrong. But, I know I was not wrong, but still forgive me if you think I am wrong because I don’t want your anger to stop me from having my desire fulfilled”.

Such talks and mentality reveal the person’s level of consciousness – that of body conscious and so asuric in nature. It reflects Virochana’s belief that things in this world mean everything. Such people want instant gratification of their desires. And when there is a delay, it is expressed as anger. They feel entitled to receive the fulfillment of their desires.

Indra worked to know the “self”. He was ready to wait ‘to learn about Self” which was desire. To work for, to wait for the fulfillment of one’s desire, to sacrifice, time, joys and pleasures of one’s life is an essential quality of Daivic nature.

In contrast, Virochana was not only pleased with the answer but also went to taint others with his limited and crooked understanding. The entire tribe lived with that ‘limited understanding’ and suffered the pangs of greed, selfishness, jealousy, lust, impatience and arrogance. People who want to become masters at the earliest leading others with ignorance come under this category.

Like a fly that gets attracted to the lamp to meet its end, students whose karma is destined towards their annihilation get attracted towards such masters. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2019/01/on-dependence.html

Pointers to understand this post:

" He didn’t blame his Guru as being egoistic, manipulative and demanding with his students. His humility (real one, not the pretended humility as many) was the essential quality that made him eligible to come for the next level of learning. " - How can you learn right and in full if you have complaints and anger for the person from whom you need to learn?

If you think any person is jealous of you and is stopping your growth, trust me, leave that person!

If you are right, he is not someone who can benefit you!

If it is your assumption based on your jealousy and anger, then you will not be able to learn anything from him!

Either way, you will not learn from him!

Go elsewhere to learn!!!

The essential quality to learn and grow spiritually is trust in your master/Guru and belief he has your best interest in mind!

" Indra had gratitude. Respect is imperative in gratitude. Loose talking and then covering it with statements like ..." - RESPECT is the basis of gratitude. Talking loosely about the other's intention both in person or behind him states that we don't have belief in him and we don't respect him. There gratitude is just a word!

" Indra worked to know the “self”. He was ready to wait ‘to learn about Self” which was desire. To work for, to wait for the fulfillment of one’s desire, to sacrifice, time, joys and pleasures of one’s life is an essential quality of Daivic nature. " -  Guru knows more than you!

If the Guru thinks you don't deserve something NOW, then you need to accept that!

Wait and be in sadhan!

If and when you become eligible, your Guru will give what you deserve, not when you demand it!

" In contrast, Virochana was not only pleased with the answer but also went to taint others with his limited and crooked understanding. The entire tribe lived with that ‘limited understanding’ and suffered the pangs of greed, selfishness, jealousy, lust, impatience and arrogance. " - Spirituality has become the most 'becoming commodity' in this yuga!

Thanks to Kali, every person charades as a Guru!

Everyone wants to be a Guru!

Everyone wants respect that comes with being Guru!

And therein lies the cause of their 'soul's downfall'. Don't fall for it! Beware of it!

Guru or master is one who bears the fruits (in exponential way) of the wrongs committed by his students too, not to talk about his own flaws and wrongs!

Any wrong that he teaches falls into his 'karma account'. Be aware of that!

This is no jaywalk!

This is not the path for everyone!

Work on self only till the right time comes!

Don't burden yourself with extra baggage of this karma too!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

Similarly, people who want instant gratification and instant results are strengthening their asuric nature. By developing these qualities in us we develop ‘asura’ within us. We strengthen the ‘asura’ within us.

Look at Indra. He doesn’t stop at answers that ‘pleases’ him and questions his understanding. Indra knew that any answer that indicates or facilitates only comfort wouldn’t be the ‘right answer’. He searched for the ‘right answer’.  He is ever ready to look within. He doesn’t want to compromise till he has found the complete ‘Truth’. He is not ready to go easy in learning and stop learning, questioning in between.

He is ready to sacrifice ’32 years’ to know further. Patience is a ‘daivic nature’. Any ‘real learning’ needs time. Instant learning, easy learning, or quick learning reflects ‘no learning’.

At every stage, when Indra is asked to stay back for 32 more years, he agrees without batting his eyes. He doesn’t demand an explanation from his Guru in the guise of asking for clarification as “Why didn’t you tell at the beginning itself that there were stages and each would take 32 years to finish? At least in the future tell other students so that they are not kept in dark”.

He didn’t think he was entitled to the Knowledge that his Guru had. He didn’t assume he had the right to take all as and when and how he pleased.

Pointers to understand this post:

" Similarly, people who want instant gratification and instant results are strengthening their asuric nature. " - Being impatient is an asuric nature. Look at yourself as you go through your day. If this quality is found, take time to sit and understand the root of this impatience. Work on it. Counter it with patience.

" At every stage, when Indra is asked to stay back for 32 more years, he agrees without batting his eyes. " Patience is a Godly virtue. Have patience to do sadhan. Have patience to wait for results. Lord Indra is ready to stay 32 years every single time his Guru asks him to. And people are ever asking for NEW TECHNIQUES  to come for class! What a pity!! No one till date have I seen who has understood any single technique through practice and experience.

Don't keep going from one master to the other!

Don't keep going from one class to the other!

Don't keep jumping from modality of healing to the other!

Pick up one. Stick with one and then give your all to it - then see how it transforms you and your life!

" He didn’t think he was entitled to the Knowledge that his Guru had. " - Guru's knowledge is for one and all! And yet, no one receives it by DEMANDING IT! Unfortunately, now due to 'shopkeeping of classes' everyone assumes, he can get 'all knowledge' in a limited time. Know-how can be learned for some money. But Knowledge should be EARNED! Develop eligibility for that! Don't assume you deserve it!

When one is angry when he is not given some knowledge that is the sign that he does not deserve it and yet assumes he has right!

" He didn’t assume he had the right to take all as and when and how he pleased. " - People who THINK AND ASSUME they can come and learn at their convenience are walking the wrong path.

Very important quality that is needed for growth in spiritual line is "wait to be called by the Guru".

One who leaves everything and rushes to attend that call already has the most important ingredient for growth - the right attitude and that by itself becomes his "Rama raksha". It becomes his key to abundance - both in receiving grace and in speeding his growth!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

 Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

On the other hand, Indra reached Ashram, explained his doubt to his Guru and sought an explanation. Prajapathi agreed to teach more but with the condition that Indra stays as a Brahmachari (Celibate student) with him for another 32 years. Indra agreed again. He stayed back.

He was taught about the dreaming Consciousness (Swapna Avastha).

Indra was impressed and left. But en route, he kept thinking about all that he learned. He realized the futility of dreaming consciousness too.

He returned.

He was asked to stay for 32 more years. He agreed. His teaching continued.

He was taught then about the deep-sleep state (Sisupta avastha).

Indra went with a tranquil heart and mind. Yet, in no time, he saw that even in this state he was not ‘aware of his Self’! He knew this was not IT!

He came back.

He begged to be taught about the Self. Prajapathi asked him to stay for 5 more years. Indra did. Before the end of 5 years, he was taught about the nature of the Soul which was beyond dualities. He taught about that State which was Ultimate – Turiya State in which the soul sees itself in its ‘own form through its own light’!

NOW, Indra knew “The Self”!

He left the ashram fully aware and endowed with complete and pure Knowledge. He taught the same to his subjects and they weaved their lives around this Truth. They became followers of “Light” and hence were called “Devas (light beings).

As their Knowledge was complete, they developed divine qualities of patience, humility, devotion, purity, truthfulness, ahimsa, selflessness, and faith in God. Their powers and respect increase over time among all beings. They earned it with their choices, awareness, and earnestness.

On the other hand, asuras believing just the body to be ultimate made choices around this Knowledge. Their decisions and choices ended up being wrong and were reflected as bad results for all involved.

Similarly, for people who want instant gratification and results are asuric in nature. By developing these qualities in us we develop ‘asura’ within us. We strengthen the ‘asura’ within us.

Pointers to understand post:

" He returned.......he saw that even in this state he was not ‘aware of his Self’! He knew this was not IT!

He came back. " - Indra kept coming back again and again. He did not mind losing so many of his years in just being with his Guru. He was REALLY  interested in knowing Self! Everyone just talks about soul and such stuff. NO one is actually interested. As long as the person is worldly bound, he is bound to suffer. And yet, no one has time to come out it - what an irony!

" On the other hand, asuras believing just the body to be ultimate made choices around this Knowledge. Their decisions and choices ended up being wrong and were reflected as bad results for all involved. " Everyone who believes and identifies with this body and name will suffer for sure. There is no escape from that. And to know 'self' we don't have time and interest. So, inspite of what we think of ourselves the way we lead our lives and make our choices reflect our asuric nature. And therein lies the cause of suffering!

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

 Contd.....

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

In these years, Prajapathi taught them the importance of good health, wealth and waking consciousness (Jagrat Avastha)

At the end of 32 years, they took leave of their Guru and left towards their abode. When they crossed quite a distance, they took leave of each other to go their respective ways. It was then that Indra thought “This body is perishable. So this Knowledge of maintaining it cannot be ultimate. My Guru must’ve meant something else. I’ll go back and find it out!”. He turned around and returned to the Ashram.

Whereas Virochana looked at his reflection, recollected all his teachings and felt “This body is Ultimate!. So, beauty and importance of this body, abundance of wealth and power, gratification of physical senses through various pleasures is the Ultimate!”. This he taught to all his subjects – Asuras. They were very happy and lived based on these teachings. Even today, the majority lead their life around these teachings only! People who live and believe so to be the “Be All” are called “Asuras”. They lead an “asuric life”. They develop “asuric or demonic quality in themselves”.

On the other hand, Indra reached Ashram, explained his doubt to his Guru and sought an explanation. Prajapathi agreed to teach more but with the condition that Indra stays as a Brahmachari (Celibate student) with him for another 32 years. Indra agreed again. He stayed back.

Pointers to understand this post:

" My Guru must’ve meant something else. I’ll go back and find it out!”. He turned around and returned to the Ashram " - The person who can realize that whatever he knows is not enough and he needs to seek further is the person who is destined to grow. His attitude is the reason he develops and becomes a 'deva'.

" This he taught to all his subjects – Asuras. " - One who thinks he is got ALL RIGHT is the one who is drunk with arrogance and his ego will never let him see through his ignorance. Having learnt wrong and limited, he will spread the same unto all he meets and teaches. That also becomes his karma. Everyone is in the hurry to become a master!
Their low self-esteem forces them to sit on the throne of mastership at the earliest. Unfortunately, that becomes the 'rod' that hits with karma in their life.

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

Me, My Guru – Virochana and Indra

“Guruji, you once told us that Sage Kashyapa had two wives – Aditi and Diti. He had married two sisters. Children born to Aditi are called ‘devas’ and those born to Diti are called ‘asuras’. If they are brothers, why is there such a difference in their character?” asked one among us.***

“The reasons are many” started our Guru “One is the quality and character of their mothers. Next is how they approached their Guru and what they had learned from him. And,” she was stopped here and asked by someone here “Today, tell us how and what they learned from their Guru. That would help us to learn right from you. Maybe, that’s why not all of your students are devas or sattvic in nature. Many have turned out to be Asuras and I always wondered why. Maybe, this story will clear our doubts in this regard”

We all laughed. That was a good joke!

But, before she could continue explaining, Rahul came with tea for all. We were also served some biscuits and some snacks brought by Rahul today. He said it was to show his gratitude towards Reiki for making his life easy and comfortable.

It was after everyone had some time chit-chatting that our Guru continued narrating her story “At one time, Indra, the king of Devas and Virochana, the King of Asuras, both decided to learn about Self – the highest of Knowledge from Prajapathi, the Creator. They both sought this Knowledge from Him. He asked them to come and stay with him for 32 years as Brahmacharis (Celibates). They left their kingdoms in good hands and surrendered their 32 years in learning about Self!

In these years, Prajapati taught them the importance of good health, wealth and waking consciousness (Jagrat Avastha).

# me, my guru stories, Indra and Virochana, asura and deva, asuric nature, daivic nature, karma, illusion, ego, body consciousness and soul consciousness, reality, The Truth, maya, meditation, knowing self, Self, Ultimate knowledge, awareness, mindfulness,

***  Read related posts to know why Devas and Asuras though being brothers are so different by nature : https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=Bhaktha+and+his+bhakti+%E2%80%93+Guru+Shishya+%E2%80%93+My+Guru+and+Me

Pointers to understand this post:

"If they are brothers, why is there such a difference in their character?” asked one among us.***" - Look at the question carefully. The statement is very clear. The fact that Asuras and devas are brothers is already told and explained to the students. If that fact is explained, then their nature, the reason why they are called so and the reason for their enmity would also be clearly explained. And yet, the students end up asking the 'question' the answer to which has already been given!!??

Understand this! Know this! Be aware of this!

We forget even when explained.

We don't understand even when explained.

And then, we keep crying that we are not explained! (by Guru/Reiki/God).

Increase the 'worthiness' through regular healing' and then our understanding also will increase accordingly. Then, if and when we are explained something, we will both remember that and also understand that.

"And,” she was stopped here and asked by someone here “Today, tell us how and what they learned from their Guru " - Look closely at this. We choose what we want to receive. That is not wrong. That is our right. But, then we cry when we are living our choice! That is the cause of our suffering. Understand that!

"Many have turned out to be Asuras and I always wondered why. Maybe, this story will clear our doubts in this regard” " - It is always about others! Don't make your life story - others! Live your life. Don't make it always about others! Use your time and energy to understand 'yourself'. Only that understanding will benefit you. Don't waste time in judging, taunting others. You also loose your energy in these activities. Don't waste your energies on others.

" We were also served some biscuits and some snacks brought by Rahul today. He said it was to show his gratitude towards Reiki for making his life easy and comfortable. " - We want others to show their gratitude. We want to benefit from their expression of gratitude. And yet, when it comes to show our gratitude, we have our excuses. We end up coming up with tears and our sob stories. Think about that!

" He asked them to come and stay with him for 32 years as Brahmacharis (Celibates). They left their kingdoms in good hands and surrendered their 32 years in learning about Self! " - Look at both Indra and Virochana. Both of them are Kings of kingdoms beyond our level of understanding. None of us holds an office bigger than them! We are no way near them either. And yet, even to attend a 'day class' we have our excuses ready - always! We don't have time to heal. We don't have time to spend with our master/Guru. We don't have time to meditate. And yet, all want to be Masters.

And yet, all want to be Grand Masters.

And yet, all want their pains and sufferings to end.

Unless a person has time and interest to sit with his Guru in meditation or whatever his Guru asks him to do, he will not be able to go within and remove the cause of his suffering.

The vicious cycle of birth and death, pain and suffering is not going to end - anytime soon!
