Me My Guru – On Sadhan being “Sahaj” (effortless!)

"He fell in love with Sun-God. So, to express his love he used his worship Sun-God through “Sandhya”. " - Sadhan and rituals that we do can be a way to thank the Divine, Reiki or God. When done as a way to thank, show gratitude or affection for the Divine, then it reaps benefits beyond our imagination. It heals our karma like nothing! This is the way to do sadhan especially when we are afraid of facing the consequences of our karma.

Doing the sadhan in exchange for some material benefit is the most lowest form of worship that may give the object of our desire or its equivalent to us. But, since we had done the encashed the sadhan against the things of this World, there is no sadhan left to heal the karma (that we are afraid of facing in future when it comes back to bite us).

"Due to his power of worship, the Sun would not set until his worship was complete." - Sadhan done anyway is good. But, that which has no desire attached to it, which has the purity of intent, which is seeped in affection for the technique or the one for whom we are doing sadhan (like Reiki, Guru,God) then bhakthi gains "SHAKTHI". Our devotion gains power that normal people call as "miracles" and the bhaktha just nods his head and says "oh, yeah that happens" because for him that is the way of life!

Sadhan done to impress others or to inflate our ego keeps count of how much sadhan we do. It keeps count of all the money given in charity. It keeps count of how much we have shared with others, given to others, done for others.

But to experience love, we need to first stop keeping count of the same.
