Me My Guru – on fate, destiny and karma
“A Guru and his shishya lived on a mountaintop for
many years. Shishya had worked on his vasanas under his Guru’s guidance and
brought them under control. His bhakthi, faith, gratitude, respect and love for
his Guru were obvious in his every act of “seva” to his Guru.
Years passed. Guru and shishya would be in sadhan
all through the day and night too! Time was not taken into consideration by them.
Once during the meditations, Guru saw the death of
his shishya in 7 days. He was shaken a bit. He meditated and regained his calm.
He sat contemplating his vision. He called his shishya and said, “Son, since
its years that you’ve been away from your family, I permit you to go visit
them. Stay with them for a week. You can resume your studies with me when you
come back after a week.”
Shishya was overjoyed. Without questioning further
he packed his meagre belongings and left towards his home. As he got down the
hill, he saw a bird hurt and lying on the ground. His eyes were filled with
tears. His heart filled with compassion he nursed the bird and saved it. He
felt very happy when he saw the bird fly away.Contd....
