Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Pointers to understand the post:

Even without turning around Pundarika pushed a brick and replied “Welcome Lord! Please stand on that brick lest your feet get dirty with mud (as it was monsoon season).”” – One who is engrossed in SERVICE doesn’t try to PLEASE OTHERS OR FLATTER OTHERS to get his work done. He doesn’t manipulate. The purity in service itself becomes the key to your success. If success doesn’t come in spite of hard work, look within. Meditate. Find out where you are lacking in “serving right”. Don’t think that JUST DOING service qualifies “receiving blessings or grace”. The intent should be pure.

Service is done just for the sake of service.

If it is done seeking something, it stops being service.

Pundarika even without turning still replied, “So the parental service has such power that you had to come even though uncalled?”” – This is enough to understand the importance of doing any job with nishta, Shraddha and bhakthi. The job done because you have no other choice gives returns accordingly. The job half-done also reaps such benefits. The work which lacks love doesn’t give happiness to the doer and the receiver.

Look at the way the job at hand is done.

Find ways to better it.

Improve the quality of work done – any work worth doing is worth doing well!

Understand how work properly done releases us from our karma and the work not done properly binds us to our karma!

Meditate on this!

Work on this!

Use it for your growth, success, redemption and happiness.
