Then what stops us from being courageous and affectionate?

Our demonic nature!

And what is the basis of that demonic nature?

Our Ego and arrogance!

How to know we are operating out of our demonic nature? How to know we are not ‘humane’ enough?

Look at/for these qualities and know you are operating from demonic nature –

·       When you see you hardly have friends 

·       Fault finding in others instead of finding good in them

·       When you find it difficult to make friends

·       Wherever you go you feel marginalized

·       Feelings of self-pity, jealousy and anger seem to express more in you than feelings of gratitude, affection and happiness!

·       When you are counting all that’s wrong or lacking in your life rather than what is great about it.

·       When good news in others life brings pain within

·       When you are not happy when you listen about good happening in others’ life

Both the divine and the demon are within me. My every choice strengthens either the divine or the demon in me depending on the 'attitude' that I strengthen!

Using 'mind' or 'intelligence' (vivek) to make choices that push us towards our hell reflect our demonic nature. This reflects our ego. At this phase our ego controls us and it is becoming stronger day by day in us through us!

But when we use the same mind and vivek to make choices that brings out our 'Greatness' we shine forth with our 'Divine nature'. That is when we feel 'good' and 'pure'. Here we are using our ego to identify with the soul and thereby experience what is called 'blissful' and fearless existence.
