Me, My Guru – On anger of Lord Shiva!
“Wow! That is not for us now, so we’ll not get our answers now. Got it”
everyone laughed. But yes, we understand something significant that day. We can
understand someone only if we have their qualities, otherwise we can only label
them or judge them, carry an opinion about them but never get to understand
them – that was for sure! That really shook all our opinions about others. We need to re-evaluate others now from a
totally different angle and that would for sure make a difference in our
relationships. Wow! So many entangled emotions would be set loose and cleared
with this simple understanding – I mean if we took time to work on this
understanding and apply it.
“A parent can be right and his act/words totally filled with love inspite of his words and actions seemingly harsh and hurtful. ONLY a balanced person would see love of such a parent even when that parent doesn’t explain his acts. Like-wise, I or any one in this world or other can never explain Lord Shiva’s anger or any of His emotions. But, one who has experienced Him at a certain level will know for sure that He is not one to be afraid of. Lord Shiva if is the God we are talking about is nothing other than ‘Love personified’. He can never harm or punish any of His devotees or His any form of His Creation! That’s for sure! From Him came forth creation and that includes emotions, feelings and everything. Usually people think ‘creation’ means ‘people’ only. No! He created Universe and is still creating! That includes all that constitutes this Universe – living and non-living, all the expressions of life, all the knowledge, emotions, attitudes et al! So how can He be effected by what comes forth from Him?
Let me give you an example. I create different dishes – say sweets, savouries, desserts, main course etc. Can one of them take control of me and decide the menu next day? Can a computer that I create decide on my friends? (Well, in a sort of way you are letting it but still.....) (I hope you got it!). Similarly, anger which came from Him can’t affect Him”.
“Then what does it mean when we hear Him kill asuras and all?”
