…contd…..
He always was
like that, only thing is he never got an opportunity to express that nature of
his. And many times, we surprise ourselves by our behaviour. This is because, we’ve never understood
ourselves truly! But, smartly we push the blame on to the situation and
circumstances and then coolly declare ‘ I am not like that. But, I had no
choice but to act in such a way’. By justifying our actions and decisions, we
think we’ve saved our ‘image’ of being ‘good person’ but we forget even if it
is done, we are what we are – not what we are projecting. So sad!
‘I don’t drink
or smoke and come home straight from office by 6 pm. I am such a good husband,
yet why do I suffer with such a bad wife who doesn’t even fold clothes daily’.
Just look at
this complain. It’s wrong, illogical and senseless from the word go.
a.he is saying
he is ‘good husband’ because he doesn’t smoke or drink? So, doesn’t buffalo and
even it comes home at 6 pm from the fields. Does it become good husband because
of that. If he doesn’t have a ‘wrong habit’ then it means his health would not
be affected because of that. But, that doesn’t make him good husband. Coming to
that point, even his wife doesn’t smoke or drink. Then, by that virtue even she
becomes ‘good wife’. Why he doesn’t allot marks to her for the same reason. If
you’ve to compare habits then compare on the same level and also on all levels.
