on waiting

On waiting!

We have a desire and we WANT  it to be fulfilled immediately.

We don't WANT  something or someone in our life and we want it/them to go away immediately. It can be a disease, financial commitment, promotion, buying/selling a house, having children, wanting good relationships etc etc....

We want people in our life, situations in our life to change overnight.

We all know that we need to get up at 3 am and do our sadhan daily. We need to do 'suryanamaskar and suryopasana' daily at sun rise and sunset to keep our body and house healthy. And yet we have our reasons to not do so. We justify and strongly believe our reasons to be valid too! We are not ready to CHANGE  for our betterment. We ourselves are not ready to change for our betterment!!!!

Read the last sentence of the previous para again and again.

And yet, we want people in our life to change as per our desire and taste.

We want children to behave as we want them to.

We want our spouses to talk and behave right (as per our expectations!!).

We want our relatives to be good to us.

We want our work environment to suit our taste.

We want everything to go as per our taste. We want everything and everyone to work for our comfort.

But when we, our body, our mind itself revolts against our 'wanting to get up early' or 'be active' or 'do exercise daily' and such very many little wishes and resolutions, how can you expect some other person to work for your wish fulfillment?

Think about it!

Let us learn to be good to ourselves first.

Let us learn to fulfill our own check list of things and habits to do and pick up first. Let's stick to it for some time first. Lets change for better first. Let's improve towards our better life style, eating and sleeping habits, way of thinking and then, ONLY THEN let's expect others to fit into our bill......
