Wanting to achieve
something in life – understandable, acceptable and desirable.
Wanting to be
successful in life – equally understandable, acceptable and doable.
But when we trade our ‘dharma’
for success and achievements we start digging our own grave of sorrows,
miseries and sufferings. Is it inevitable? Yes, by every account.
Success and
achievements are for you. You are not for them!
They are reflection of
your talent, hard work and desire.
Their existence is for
your happiness and sense of achievement.
But your existence is
not for them! Know that! You don’t exist for them. Your existence doesn’t need
them. Remember, success was never a faithful mistress to anyone! She is yours only
as long as she is not enticed by someone else! So, don’t rest your ‘value’ and ‘worthiness’
on her!
Sushant was not some
dumb star-kid with nothing much to do. He was not a ‘dumb’ person like those
star-kids against whom he was pitied. His abilities, talent, intelligence and
knowledge were something that those star-kids could not even aspire for – leave
alone get them. These are not valued by people driven by ‘shallow talk and
make-up driven’ culture that they are part of. They can purchase expensive
purses but can never know the value of a ‘good book’. Why should he want to fit
among them? Like him, we too try to fit into ‘some group’ which doesn’t go well
with our persona and therein lays our problem.
Wanting to be part of
that Industry or any other group is out of a desire. That ‘desire’ is not a problem
too. The ‘condition’ that we assign to that ‘desire’ that it should be
fulfilled at any cost – well, that is the basis of our suffering and breakdown.
When we ‘condition’ our success based only on the acceptance by ‘some folks’,
we suffer! There either we choose path of ‘adharma’ to reach our goal or break
as a person in the process.
We can ‘expect’ to
succeed based on our talent, hard work, dreams and desires. But when we ‘condition’
that our existence and life is worthless if that ‘condition’ is not met – well,
that is dangerous.

Points to be understood :
- What is desire, condition, expectations and how it affects us?
- Why to heal our emotions especially the disturbing ones immediately?
- What does it mean to empty ourselves? What does empty cup represent here?
- What does it mean to empty our cup and why?
