Guru

Guru's Impact

The question asked was "Will that mean we and our guru are meeting in each and every Janma that was and the Janmas yet to come"

Well, the answer is 'yes' and 'no'.

In the first place, let me tell you when i said "our selection of Guru effects not just this life for lives to come.......so select with care...." I didn't mean to say that we'll meet our Guru in our next life. I said "it effects our future janmas".  It means selection of a Guru will decide the route I take in my janmas to come.

But, before going further let's understand how selection of our Guru decides our fate -atleast for this life...

Who's a Guru in the first place?

A guru is one whom we turn to in times of confusion, pain and suffering and seek his guidance to face it and to overcome it...

A guru is one who removes our ignorance and helps us to see the right from wrong in the light of "Dharma"...

A guru leads you from darkness to light - i.e., from ignorance to wisdom....

A guru is one who holds your hand when you faltr as you walk the path of your life and lifts you, supports you and then forces you to walk the right path...

A Guru explains why you need to select a particular course in your life and how it benefits you or tells you the harm in selecting a certain path.

A Guru is not one whom you think thinks about your good and follow him blindly.

Then how does it effect my life or lives to come?

...contd...

A guru is someone who need not be physically present with you to guide you. Sometimes, "what would my guru say if I ask her this question?" Does the job.
