Guru

...contd....

On the other hand, Yudhistra choose Krishna as his Guru to seek guidance to arrive at a decision which was always based on 'Dharma'.  Neither he asked 'What is beneficial to me or us?" nor "which is easier path to walk?"

He always asked "What ought to be done?" or "What is the right thing to do?"

Krishna likewise answered him everytime saying "this is as per Dharma".  He never once said "I want it this way" or "I think so!".

So, in the same battle though Pandavas also lost everything and everyone - they went on to establish Dharma in thier kingdom and were relegated a place in heaven as a gift for rightful living.

Assuming there is no heaven or hell, even then their next life will be decided on their deeds of this janma which undoubtedly being 'right' - they would be given a good life in their next birth.

Forget about next life, even in this life, they were highly respected by the wise and just.  That is the greatest treasure of walking the right path which is shown by the 'Right' guru and walking on that path is inevitable as the Guru will never encourage the 'easy' path when it is against 'Dharma'.
