Guru

...contd....

Does it mean this Guru will stay with you for next janmas to come?

Not necessarily.  As difficult as it it to meet One - it is equally easy to make him go out of your life with your attitude - if hatred, selfishness, greed and ego.

But, when he came, he knew I was prepared to receive him? Then why does he leave?

is it not the duty of Guru to help me over-come these qualities?  If yes, how can he leave me for the same?

If this is your question, the answer is very simple!

By your sadhan, intent and karma you are qualified 'to receive' the Guru.  But, the qualification is to receive only - not to retain him in your life.

When he comes, he makes unexplainable efforts to help you overcome your weaknesses.  But when he sees, you are still attached to it and no effort of his is going to give results, he moves ahead to help others.

Many times, he would come in your life - why even in various janmas to be at your side to pull you out of this quagmire.  But, if after certain number of janmas (no, the number is not fixed), he feels you are yet not ready, he moves on after giving his blessing - never to meet you again!

People who lived and staged with Sai Baba, Paramahamsa, Ramana Maharshi didnot get totally transformed.  They couldn't - nay didn't want to leave the nothing of this world behind them.  Their Guru moved on. These Gurus met them in various janmas, but alas! they couldn't make the most of it! (Or maybe that was the most they could make out of his presence!)
