Reflections – on repairing sofa

One reiki channel had to get his sofa repaired or whatever…he just went to a shop at the corner of his lane and asked them to repair it. Work done in 10mts.

He had his family visit him later and during the course of talks, he mentioned about the same. His family asked him “How many shops did you enquire? How did you select this shop? What is the difference of this man’s quotation vs. others? How good was your bargain? Who suggested him to you?” and so on and so forth. Our Reiki channel just said “He was the nearest one and has a shop in our colony. Why would I go to some other person leaving our ‘colony person’?”

His relatives were both shocked and surprised. Their expression said it all “He has made a wrong decision and what a way to take a decision”.

Our Reiki channel of course was totally and blissfully unaware of their expression and its meaning.   

I on the other hand was purely amused with this incident. To me our channel operated purely out of ‘identification with his colony and area’. He gave one more valid reason though “I do Reiki before starting any work and I flow with the feel afterwards”.

• Is the stress coming from situations and people in life OR are we trying to control them as per our specifications?
• Are we obsessed about the outcome? If yes, maybe there in lies our problem. The situation and the person may just be a trigger.
  
• Are we trying to make most out of any situation? Is it worth it everytime? 
• Think about it!!!
