Me, my Guru – on heaven and hell
The ministers replied “They are yours, Master. Alexander has sent them to you. He wishes to meet you. Please come with us”.
Master smiled and replied “Take all these to Alexander and tell him to come here if he wants to meet me”.
The ministers were bit disappointed. They were frightened too. They didn’t know how Alexander would receive this reply. They stood there for some time. The Master having replied closed his eyes and went back to meditating. Having nothing more to do they brought back the gifts and passed on the message of the Master to Alexander. Alexander sat on his chair and thought for a while. Then he told his ministers “The Master is right. It is my desire. So, I need to go and meet him. I can’t order, demand or expect him to fall in line of my desire and expectations. Come let’s go!”
They all reached the place where the Master was meditating. Alexander stood in front of him and his soldiers announced his arrival. The Master opened his eyes and looked at him. Alexander spoke “Great one, I am Alexander the Great, Emperor of the World! I seek to ask few questions. Pray! Tell me about hell and heaven. Is it real that they exist? If so, where?”
The Master stared at Alexander and shouted “Get lost! You are disturbing my meditation!”
Unable to control himself Alexander took his sword to strike and kill the Master. Master smiled and said “This is hell and this is where it exists!”

Questions answered :
- When will my suffering end?
- How come everyone and others are happy while I am always suffering?
- Tell me a way to end this suffering....
- Whenever I come seeking some or any answer to my problem why do you always ask me to work on my 'way of thinking' and mind?
Points to be understood :
- All those who have worked on winning the world by power lost the war at the end for they lost to their 'own mind'.
- So winning over self is greater and more difficult than winning over the world like Ravana, Hitler, Alexander, Ashoka the Great and others......
- "But I am not interested in winning myself. I want to get these things of the world and I just want my desires to be fulfilled. That's all!" - Even to be winning the world you should first win over self like Krishna, Rama, Mother Theresa, Ratan Tata, Gandhi and others......
Life tips :
Even if you are living in an apartment you can grow a kitchen garden. Take any old oil can, useless bucket, some tray that is useless, plastic small containers (take away cups or boxes) and use them to grow dhaniya (koththameer)/coriander, methi/menthulu/some greens, green chillies and like. See the way children participate in these activities. Teach them about soil, photosynthesis (how plants make food), parts of plant, cultivation and so much you can teach with this little activity.
Put this time to good use. Give them 'hands on' learning experience. Even you get to have home grown kitchen need.
Those who don't have children also can try and benefit from this. Get in touch with Mother Earth. Touch her. Play in her. Benefit from it!
