On cow's milk
Next
important point is assuming there is no demand for milk and its products
completely, and then do you think people would still want to raise cows? It
would become endangered faster than one can count if its utility is lost to
humans, as ‘utility’ is the key word for survival in today’s world. With t hat,
we would sign our doom certificate. What with all the other benefits explained
earlier going down the drain. (Please read those points once again ..)for the
soil to be healthy too we need cows!
Every fad will have its fan group. World entirely can never become ‘vegetarian’ or vice-versa – ever! That is ‘the law of order’! No habit however good can ever be followed by the entire world – ever! Same with this! Following your belief based on some facts or emotions is fine as long as it doesn’t become ‘fanatic’ outlook. Each unto his won! Let those who propagate these or any such idea live and prosper. We’ll walk our paths based on our beliefs, understanding and experience.
Don’t be in awe of a person for following a cult, path, fad, belief nor would you condemn or belittle them for living as per their belief. All such beliefs are worked out to develop empathy, to outgrow our selfishness and think on behalf or for others, to love beyond self and to expand our identification circle. End is good and right. The paths being different the ideals that we live up to are bound to differ too! lets’ embrace these differences and help each other walk our different paths!
Let’s agree to disagree!
But for me, it is easier to love and be selfless with ice-cream in my hand. And for that, I would need cow’s milk. And yes, I am sure the calf would love to share that milk with me when it sees me eat my ice-cream!
Do people who don’t drink milk not eat ice-cream? And are they still loving and caring?
Like all fads and choices, these choice also is based on emotions and facts that we choose to see and consider. If you find the reasons someone puts forth in front of you, then go ahead and follow that path till your understanding gives you a clarity in a totally different way sometime down the line. All this is part of your growth. Just don't hold on to your 'beliefs' so STRONGLY as to not see its flaws and shortcomings.
And now, forget about others and tell me, are you going to drink milk or not?

Yes Obviously :) How can we not even after listening to so many benefits of it ;)
Ghee & Butter are in the list too.. They add so much of taste and nourishment to food we cook.. Simply love them..
Yes, I do have dairy products and milk currently.
In smaller farms or villages, the cattle are reared by a family and the bull/ox are employed in towing the farm land.
But I have come across reports which state that the big dairy companies which produce milk to be sold in packets (not the small dairy farms), often abuse the cows and they are repeatedly impregnated. If the baby cow is male, they kill the animal for its leather and if its a female, its suffering is the same as the mother. India is one of the largest exporters of beef and cow leather to the world for the same reason. Once the cow is old enough and cannot produce diary further, it is killed and the beef is exported.
Obviously, I would never judge anyone of their values, to each his own. Although I am aware of the health benefits of dairy, this just got me thinking if we are unknowingly hurting the animal which we call our mother. May be the solution is to have farm owned milk and not the processed milk/ dairy products produced in factories.
go to the site of diary product co. and check the way they function. most of the cases milk is collected from individuals and then that is processed -eg. amul and heritage both i think follow this method...and yes stop using leather products that should cut down on their murders...best is go to your local doodh wala who are present in still cities like hyd where they rear buffaloes and milk them....
Leather products ( cow ) ,mamm plss example istara.hopefully v can avoid.
