Me, My Guru - On valuing things...
Me, My Guru - On valuing things...
“A lady was playing on the
sea-shore with her 2yr son. She met an old acquaintance and she was lost to
catching up with him. A little later, she turned to see her son – missing! She
gave up a huge cry when she found him being carried by the waves. Her shout
attracted few young boys playing on the beach. Understanding the situation,
they swam into waters, rescued the kid and handed him over to the mother. She
kissed the boy with tears filled eyes and suddenly gave out a cry “Oh my God!
One shoe of my kid is missing”. So saying, she fainted”.
We all laughed. Few of us had heard
this story couple of times and yet it demanded same response from us. We could
identify with that lady at so many levels. Actually few of the students had
complaints and she was responding to their complaints which ran like this :
1.If Reiki is divine and powerful,
how come I lost my phone inspite of doing Reiki for my entire travel to be
safe?
2.Inspite of doing Reiki, we
reached our destination one hour late. Why?
3.As per astrology my spouse was to
meet an accident and go paralytic last month. When I discussed this with you,
you asked me to do Navagraha healing. I did and yet my car met with an
accident. Ok, my spouse is absolutely safe, but the accident did happen on the
said date. That means astrology is more powerful and right than Reiki. Isn’t
it? Moreover as Reiki Channel if we don’t have special quota of having only
‘goodies’ and ‘good times’ in life and not have to go through tough people and
situations to learn, then what and how is it different from not being a reiki
channel?
We knew from where such cries come
from. We had crossed that point – long back. And yet today when someone mouthed
our yesterday’s words, it was very irritating. It was difficult to understand
how she could take it from batch after batch. We couldn’t.
“We are so into missing things that
we lost that we are not sensible enough to thank for the calamity avoided. But the
fault is Universal. We can’t and don’t see what could have been. We can only
see what we desire and what we received. That’s all and therein lays the
confusion. It is understandable.
