Anger and desire

Wanting something is not wrong. But being deluded because of it and being blinded by its presence or absence is dangerous as it clouds our sense of thinking and it again effects our emotions – which obviously are wrongly placed and thereby our actions are loud with ‘selfishness’ and ‘Adharma’.  No doubt, we end up committing and increasing our negative karma and suffer endlessly because of this vicious circle……..

Does it mean that I can’t have my own desires and want them to be fulfilled just because my near and dear ones don’t see my point of view! No. I am not saying that! Here I am just explaining the type of desire and the way it changes out perception and the way we look at people in our life.  It also effects our defination of life and people – which is obviously going to be wrong all along as it is desire driven.  We can have a desire which we wish to fulfill but within the purview of the ‘Dharma’.  

For eg. If I wish to get married to a certain person, it is always better to wait for my family’s approval rather than go ahead and get married to that person.  Because, in India we don’t marry a person, we marry his family.  Marriage still is coming together of two families and not two individuals –okay it has it’s drawbacks and benefits which we will not discuss now! Now, the waiting period should not be filled with anger, hatred for the person/persons who are making us wait! That is important. 

Why? Because of two reasons.  One – when we generate negative feeling like pain, anger, hatred, aversion, stubbornness we create energy and that has an impact on the other person (here the person who is to accept the marriage!).  since the energy generated is negative, the impact is also negative and thereby the result certainly can’t be good or positive.  Next, even the acceptance comes it will be delayed for sure because of the negative vibes sent.  So, it is our primary duty to wait with love! Remember, Krishna saying to Arjuna “kill your enemies for sure but with love and not with hatred”.  That is the law of karma that we should follow….
