Points to be noted :

  • Pause to think! Are we amassing one thing after another or are we living life to the fullest?
  • What does life mean to us?
  • What is the purpose of my life?
  • What are the things which matter most to me and what am i doing for that?
  • Take time to take stock of your relationships and why they are what they are....

Just a suggestion : Found that few of you come running couple of minutes after 9.30pm and then feel bad /tensed etc. It takes 5-10mts for you to settle down then. But if you sit down for LC by 9.20pm then you are all set by 9.30pm when i start and we can go into healing immediately. That way we'll have more time to heal and more time to do other stuffs too if need be......
set your clocks for 9.20pm and 6.20am to sit in LC. That way you can never go wrong. This way you joining later because of time difference (in various clocks that we own) can also be done away with.......
choose, decide and act accordingly....

Exercise Tips : Those who are not able to do exercise for 1-2 hrs at a stretch for various reason, just do 15mts before every meal and before every healing of ours......you would easily complete more than 1hr /day that way......
Those of you who are WFH and find it difficult to do workouts at home due to large number of people, no exercise equipment etc - just climb step 2-3 floors 3-4 times a day......your cardio for the day is almost taken care of ........do this for 21 days to see the results..........

An interesting reflection: Slow Down Culture

Patience - An answer to lots of our issues

It's been 18 years since I joined Volvo, a Swedish company. Working for them has proven to be an interesting experience. Any project here takes 2 years to be finalized, even if the idea is simple
and brilliant. It's a rule. Globalized processes have caused in us (all over the world) a general sense of searching for immediate results. We have come to possess a need to see immediate results. This contrasts greatly with the slow movements of the Swedish. They, on the other hand, debate, debate, debate, hold endless meetings and work with a slowdown scheme. At the end though, this always yields outstanding results.

Said in another words: 1. Sweden is about the size of San Pablo , a state in Brazil . 2. Sweden has 2 million inhabitants. 3. Stockholm , has 500,000 people. 4. Volvo, Escania, Ericsson, Electrolux, Nokia are some of its renowned companies. Volvo supplies the NASA.

The first time I was in Sweden , one of my colleagues picked me up at the hotel every morning. It was September, cold and snowy. We would arrive early at the company and he would park far away from the entrance (2000 employees drive their cars to work). The first day, I didn't say anything, neither the second nor the third. One morning I asked, "Do you have a fixed parking space? I've noticed we park far from the entrance even when there are no other cars in the lot." To which he replied, "Since we're here early we'll have time to walk, and whoever gets in late will be in a hurry and need a place closer to the door. Don't you think?" Nowadays, there's a movement in Europe name Slow Food. This movement establishes that people should eat and drink slowly, with enough time to taste their food, spend time with the family, friends, without rushing. Slow Food is against its counterpart: the spirit of Fast Food and what it stands for as a lifestyle. Slow Food is the basis for a bigger movement called Slow Europe, as mentioned by Business Week. Basically, the movement questions the sense of "hurry" and "craziness" generated by globalization, fueled by the desire of "having in quantity" (life status) versus "having with quality" or the "quality of being". The French, even though they work 35 hours per week, are more productive than the Americans or British. The Germans have established 28.8 hour workweeks and have seen productivity driven up by 20%. This slow attitude has brought forth the US 's attention, pupils of the fast and the "do it now!".

This no-rush attitude doesn't represent doing less or having lower productivity. It means working and doing things with greater quality, productivity, perfection, with attention to detail and less stress. It means re-establishing family values, friends and leisure time. Taking the "now", present and concrete, versus the "global", undefined and anonymous. It means taking essential human values, the simplicity of living. It stands for a less coercive work environment, happier, lighter and more productive where people enjoy doing what they know best how to do. It's time to stop and think on how companies need to develop serious quality with no-rush that will increase productivity and the quality of products and services, without losing the essence of spirit.

Many of us live our lives running behind time, but we only reach it when we die of a heart attack or in a car accident rushing to be on time. Others are so anxious of living the future that they forget to live the present, which is the only time that truly exists. We all have equal time throughout the world. No one has more or less. The difference lies in what each one of us does with our time. We need to live each moment. As John Lennon said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans". Congratulations for getting to the end of this message. There are many who would've stopped in the middle so as not to waste time in this "globalized" world.

Patience is a virtue highly under-rated in today's world but yet worth possessing and practicing....

start working on developing this quality to better the quality of our lives......

Time to rest!

Time to rest!

When is it time to rest?

When your body, mind and spirit seem to give up, know it's time to rest.

If you go on even when the entire system says "I can't" you may never reach where you are struggling to go. STOP is the sign you must read and follow.

It's OK to rest for in rest you calm your nerves and a calmer mind sees the solution that is right in front of us.

A person desperate for things to go his way will only lose the people he has in life now. He also messes up the energies in such a way that he creates more hurdles in the path of his desire-fulfillment.

Doing nothing is so far away from Being Still. Being still is being restful. Know the difference! And act accordingly to get the right results.

Now, what does resting mean if not lazing around through the day?

Because Swami Rama says "Intense work is rest".

Resting is not about physically lazing around or hopping on to some exotic place in the name of a break or vacation. No, it is far from it.

Rest is for the mind. Rest for the emotions. Rest is stilling our inner chatter. And that rest when given, the person gets connected to the 'soul consciousness' and that gives energy worth 'hundreds of elephants'. Then that person can accomplish many things of this World effortlessly and in no time.

Just look at Lord Buddha, Adi Shankaracharya, Jesus and many such stalwarts. They disappeared from the World for quite some time.

Lord Buddha went away to meditate for 6 long years to become enlightened.

Jesus left home around 13-14 years and came back only when he was around 30 years of age.

Everyone goes within and takes so many years to get connected to the soul. Then all the work they did was monumental. Jesus Christ preached for just 3 years and look all around you - that is the impact of work well done! People after 2000 years of his leaving his mortal body are also ready to forgo everything in his name!

Adi Shankaracharya left his body at 33 years of age. And yet, no one could touch anywhere near his body of work to date.

We can't go to some mountain or forest and lose our 10-20 years of life. But, we all can take 10-15 days of rest - that is, being in complete sadhan for a said period and gain from it - periodically!

So take time to go into intense sadhan from time to time to rejuvenate yourself. Do it to become fresh from within to have a better and fresh perspective. Do this to gain energy to do much work effortlessly!

*************
rest, being still, awareness, being in the moment, mindfulness, meditation, going within, outer world reflection of inner world, chaos, order,

Points to ponder:
  • When nothing seems to work, take a break!
  • When things don't seem to work, take a break!
  • Take a break is not about taking a vacation, it is taking break from running around things and how people and things should happen in your life.
  • Take a break of running around this World. Take time to visit yourself. Take time to still your mind!

Me, My Guru - On life and death – III!

Contd....

Me, My Guru - On life and death – III!

Having completed her tea, she asked “So, what did you understand from all this? Where do you think your understanding can be fitted?”

The best of our understanding (collective!) can be summed up as follows:

1.The sensible person and a great Guru – both can make good use of even small amount of time of their life. They don’t sit to ask “Why it happened to me” type of questions. They never waste time in such idle questions and talk. They put their time and thus their life to good use – every single time!

2.We always desire to know others’ thoughts. People are always asking “Guruji, can you read others’ thoughts? Can you teach us to?”

But they forget if we can read others’ thoughts, even our thoughts can be read by others. And are we comfortable with that? Will we be confident if we knew that our thoughts are picked by others?

# life and death, living life, make moments count, long life, meaningful life, full of life, life, death, problems and solutions, inevitable and how to face them, suffering is optional,

Points to understand the post "

"They never waste time in such idle questions and talk. They put their time and thus their life to good use – every single time!" - idle talk both external and internal causes pain, waste of time and energy....time is precious. Once lost, it can't be regained. Put your time to only good use. Every successful man invested his time in productive things only. And once you become successful to stay there you need to be extra careful on this issue.

"And are we comfortable with that?" - Only a person who is not afraid of others reading his thoughts is GOOD PERSON. All others think they are and assume so. That's why they are ever eager to project a 'good image'. Our thoughts are in our control. Let's drive them towards right direction. Let's not have anything to be ashamed of our thoughts. Then, only then will be become comfortable looking at them and being with ourselves.

Sadhan for the Invocation of Rama into our lives, Nation and the World!

Sadhan for the Invocation of Rama into our lives, Nation and the World!

Further to https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=ram+lalla, I am very glad that at least one among you - Swathi has been able to complete the entire sadhan as decided and instructed.

Not for just this sadhan but see for yourself in any venture, there are lots of takers at the start.

Many drop out after a few days.

Some more drop out after walking for a few more days.

Just a handful keep walking still!

Then, most drop out and only a couple touch the end line!

So, it happened this time too - even in sadhan - or maybe more so in Sadhan!

But, even if one person comes to the finish line it is a huge cause of celebration for all of us!

Because, every time, someone walks this path (however little it maybe) diligently, it impacts the whole group. That person is carrying the torch for the entire group at that point of time!

As most of you must have noticed, people participating in the blog also change from time to time. Look at the comments to understand this. No person has been continuously following the blog since its inception. The only constant with the blog is 'me'!

Readers come and go. Then, some come back after some time. Then they continue for some more time and then go away.

Why does this happen?

Mostly, people are regular when they are facing a problem. Once the problem is solved, they go away. Then after a few years, they end up facing some problems in life and then they come back and become regulars in the blog |(and also in class).

I am yet to meet a person who continues with sadhan, is regular with sadhan, has the same amount of respect, affection, and gratitude as when he started and is sincere with sadhan with the same intensity!!! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2016/01/how-your-feed-back-helps.html

People use the words "gratitude", "love", "bhakt/devotee/devotion", "faith" so casually and yet the truth of these words is just this - "https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2022/04/on-faith-and-being-faithful.html".

Don't worry or feel bad. No one is judging you. You are who you are! You are not answerable to anyone - and it applies to me too in your life! but, you need to know yourself - the real way! And for that, one needs to take action. One needs to be courageous to walk this path! One needs to take time to look within and find out the real emotions, real feelings, real thought processes and the real you! And then, therein you will find the way to solve all the causes of your pain and suffering! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2009/04/know-thyself.html

And the first step towards that path and end is the "regular sadhan".

Swathi, for doing it "this time" and for being the only one - will receive reiki for one week.

For not expecting anything in return and just doing sadhan for sadhan's sake - she receives Reiki for one week - again!

For silently following the instructions - with no questions and no demands - for one fortnight - again!

Each attitude of a person brings abundance or pain depending on the attitude - every single time it is expressed by the person. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2017/05/ask-and-it-shall-be-given-me-my-guru_26.html. Here, it is obvious. In life too, it happens, it's just that we are not aware of what we receive.  We are not generous and honest enough to validate what we receive. We feel entitled and so we count our blessings also as our "right" and grow in bitterness instead of gratitude!

What she received from me is nothing to what she is to receive in exchange for her sadhan. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2023/09/on-receiving-for-healing-and-growing.html. Swathi is to open her eyes and heart to see it and validate it. So, it is for everyone else too!

Jai Shree Ram!

On time

"Who says Nothing is impossible, I do it every day!"

Work expands as per time available!

So, wise is one who doesn't work as per time available but you takes only as much time required to do the job and uses the extra time to do something that he always wanted to do.....

People who do a lot and live life to the fullest are not those who have free time at hand but are the most busiest for they always know to take time for the job that they wish to finish/do and experience what they want to! The busiest never complain about lack of time.....it's the one who does little or nothing who is always putting the blame on lack of time when it comes to doing things.....

Clarification to other wannabe bloggers

To  Other bloggers and wannabe bloggers

Few Clarifications:

I received many questions from other bloggers, I wish to answer them today. The most frequent question is

1. Does the blog of this stature require lots of hard work? We would like to start a blog too, so……..

Good. Start blogging and all the best for your blog. Now does writing a blog require lots of hard work? Well, I don’t know about ‘hard work’ but yes, it does quite a bit of your time.  Time taken to write a blog depends on few facts like – a. how good are you I the subject that you are dealing with? For eg. I don’t require time to ‘think’ about what I am writing. I know my subject and my pen hence flows effortlessly. I’ve never wasted time thinking what to write and how to write. If you need to find info for your write up, well it will take more time for sure…..

b.Next question is do you wish to type on the computer directly or write on a paper first and then type the same on to the computer? I belong to old school of writing, so pen down before putting it on through the keyboard. This does take lots of time, but I prefer it this way. But, if you wish to type directly on to computer yes, it would mean less time required for the same.

c. The next question you should ask yourself is why do you wish to blog in the first place? A. is it money, fame, or such related reasons? These incentives do sometimes make the work look laborious.

I basically started writing this blog only for the sake of my students – who are not in town and those who are abroad and not being able to talk to me on regular basis. My students (by now you must have known that I take up reiki classes and such related occult classes like vaasthu, tarot reading etc) had one complaint that they don’t get to hear me talk regularly because of job and other constraints. To do away with this complaint of them, I started writing this blog, so that they can hear me through my words on regular basis. Even this they find it difficult to access. Well, that’s a different story though!

This in short is an act of love – love of writing, love for my students and the love to share what I knew and experience with others who wished to know.

So, this is the fact which doesn’t let me see this work as ‘hard work’ for it is a ‘labour of love’ for me and hence I do it happily. It does give me ‘little more happiness’ though when someone ‘does’ say they benefitted out of my writing. It makes this job all the most fulfilling!

d. How much time does it take to write ‘a blog’ of this type? Well, I write for 4-5 hrs – twice a week and on other days, I just type what I’ve written and post it. Well, it takes about ½ an hour – 1hr/day to type. That’s all! If you are good at it, may be you can do it in less time.

e. How to increase your reader’s base? At you can see, I am no person to answer that as my reader’s base is very small and limited. One thing I’ve realized, If you are writing or presenting, catering to basic instincts, it gets more ‘hits’ than what relates to finer tastes and that which is pure and sensible! If you are thinking of writing anything on spirituality, then don’t bother about the number – just write for that ‘one person’ who would follow you diligently and apply that you’ve asked to and benefits and grows into a more balanced person. I just write for ‘that one person’. Our ancient seers wrote only for the one who would become enlightened reading their work. Just follow this simple rule!

I hope all your questions are answered and all the best for your ‘blogging’………….

Start living today

Start living today.........

Best Moment Quotes: Top 35 Live in the Moment Quotes

It was so with school/ college and any and every other phase of my life!

Love life! Cherish every moment! Living it one day @ a time ... I’ve two options available:
1.     To go on living, complaining and suffering the same way for the rest of my life.
2.     Accept my nature to be at fault. Accept that I don’t have a problem. I am the problem! Stop blaming, accusing, hating, calling names, abusing Reiki, master, Universal laws and God and start first living the life the right way from now on. Stop complaining about everything and everyone!

Start looking at good things instead of only ‘few flaws’ (so called) in life!

Best Moment Quotes: Top 35 Live in the Moment Quotes As I work on my goals and desires, I should also celebrate what I already have in life! We usually take what we have with us for granted. We are so involved in possessing, hoarding and chasing things and people in life that we don’t take time to be with them. Life is not getting things and people! Life is about being with them. Life is about living.

I have board games at home that we hardly put to use. Instead we complain about ‘bad content’ on TV and still keep watching it. Can’t we put it to rest and go on to playing games with our family and friends. Where are those days gone?

40 Family Quotes - Short Quotes About the Importance of Family

We have parks in our vicinity/ colony/ neighbourhood that we hardly visit. And yet complain of being unable to take vacation in some hill station?! Even if you go to the park, it is just to do “rounds” of walk and rush back home. Walking is also done either gossiping or listening to phones. Some great souls watch videos as they walk! Walk as if that is the only thing worth doing for the day! Enjoy your walk! Be with yourself in that walk of your day! Connect with your self during walk! If you can't and don't want to be with self, why would someone else be happy being with you?

Wow!

Life is Too Short Quotes and Sayings to Make You Appreciate It ...
How much time did I spend per day with the little ones at home playing, listening to their dreams, imaginations etc? Do we have family time that doesn’t involve just ‘what to cook tomorrow’ or ‘when to leave for that family function’ type of questions? We already have family that we don’t spend fun-time with and yet complain that we want love; a partner in life!

Quotes About The Present Moment. QuotesGram If you can’t love the people already in your life, are not happy with ones you spend time with now, then no new friends/ job/ partner can give that love/ joy in your life!

So on and so forth…

I need to start living and living today! Yes, I need to stop day dreaming and hoping to live in the future. I need to live today! I need to start living instead of chasing things and people I need….I need to live!

Isn't it an irony that 'today' I want to do few of these things like going to park etc and I can't because of social distancing and lockdown?

But still the good news is there are few things which still are within my reach like spending time with family etc and I have been blessed with time and opportunity to experience the same. My wish has come true! This wish has also come true like many others earlier........

Can I trust that other wishes too would come true like this?

Concluded.......

Food for thought :

  • If you look at things for which you can be happy and grateful, you'll find 24hrs a day to be much lesser time to count them.......
  • Dreams, goals, desires are to be worked for. They are to be chased. They propel us to get up and work. But their fulfillment or possessing can't be the condition for our happiness!
  • Happiness is the 'state of being'. It doesn't need anything external to validate it or experience it.
  • Sense of achievement comes from external possessions and getting things and wish being fulfilled.
  • Happiness and sense of achievement are two totally different things.
  • They are not a 'single package'.

Life tip:

Can you describe three people closest to you in a word or a sentence?

I know a person and the best way to describe him would be  "....and he gave a damn!"

Other person I know would be "she lived life to the fullest on her terms!"

One woman would be "She lived for others"

So you get the picture, now do it!
