On taking decisions!

 Contd.....

On taking decisions!

The more we condition the outcome of our 'decisions' the less clarity of thought is available to us to take that 'right decision'. We want everything to go 'smooth' and trouble free and that's how we say if the decision is right or wrong. But we forget 'no decision' is completely 'problem free' - ever in life. Every decision comes with ups and downs of it's choice. We need to look into the fact 'is my decision based on my values and priorities of life or is it based on fear?'

Any decision based on values however difficulties it may end up giving us, there also comes a great strength with that decision that comes to us to face those difficulties...

Stop expecting a decision to give you 'happiness' only in life. That demand from that decision makes us assume that we could have been happier without that decision made in our life. It never is so - for any decision in life.

The day we realize this simple Truth we would get healed of our fears and go ahead and live life to the fullest. We will have courage enough to face the challenges that our choices presents us with. Then it is all a part of game in our life. There are no regrets. There are no remorse. There is no pain and no suffering - at least with regards to our decisions made in the past. How beautiful and light would such a state of mind would be! How wonderful would that life be!

Think about it!!!

As always, read the link given in the date order to understand it better....

Healing suggested :

  • Sit in meditation and find the cause of 'taking decisions'. Heal it with the required technique...
  • Look at the expectations and conditions set on each decision. Take couple of them (from the past) and grow through expectations and conditions you had from each of such decisions. Know the basis of your expectations and conditions. Heal them.
  • Do reiki before taking any decision. Then develop trust that whatever comes is for your good and work around that faith.
  • Stop going back to past and wanting to change that decision.
  • The decision many times is not the problem. The lack of strength to face and accept the outcome of that decision is. Work on that!
What did you learn from this post?

How was it helpful?

Heal the required areas and come back after say a month and give the feedback....have a reminder to do the same....

On taking decisions

On taking decisions

Why I am not able to take decisions regarding my life? Fear stops me from moving ahead and desire doesn’t let me move on. Over and above that is the confusion as to how my decision will reflect in my life and in the life of my near and dear ones? What if my decision is not right as all say? But, no way I want anything apart from the fulfillment of my desire. What do I do?

I have answered these types of questions many times previously and hence will suggest you to go through the previous posts and if still in doubt specify – but only after reading the posts 3-4 times. The solution is very much there in all these posts…..

Me, my guru – on choosing love over hate!

Me, my guru – on choosing love over hate!

Today our Guru didn’t tell a story from any Epic. She didn’t tell the story from any other source. The story that she chose to share with us was from the book of life. Yes, she shared a real-life story with us. Maybe, that’s why it resonated with us today. Maybe, most of us couldn’t or won’t apply it right away. And yet, we would carry this tale for quite some time to come.

It was a very simple story of a simple sadhak. Because it was lived by someone just like us we could relate to it. As his strategy worked for him, we had the motivation enough to follow in his footsteps. In some city in India lived two brothers who were doing business together. Time flew and in just 20-25years they had a huge business. Their children also became involved in the business. At that time, the elder brother and children robbed the younger brother and his children of their share.

The younger brother (the hero of our story) was left penniless and on the roads. Now, this hero of ours had a Guru whom he respected a lot. He went to her and vented out his anger, and disappointments. He and his children wanted his Guru to give permission to file a case against his older brother. This though was purely his children’s wish. But our hero never did anything without seeking his Guru’s permission.

# on living relationships, on love, on giving and receiving, you are where you are because of how you choose, on choosing right everytime, making choices, forgiveness, moving on, building over destruction,

previous post suggested reading to further understanding on this topic : https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=Me%2C+My+Guru+%E2%80%93+On+disagreement

Post pointers:

"But our hero never did anything without seeking his Guru’s permission." - Read these lines at the end of the topic again!!!

The hero's fate to a large extent depends on this sentence. When we are disturbed, heart broken, agitated or angry whatever be our decision, it is wrong. Blessed are the few who have worked on themselves enough to be calm and composed enough to take the right step even in such dire circumstances. Others are not!

We are ruled by our emotions and feelings. And that is the reason we end up taking all the wrong decisions and choices. Here, our hero simply followed a golden rule "Never to do anything that his Guru doesn't permit" Simple! This would be a ramaraksha to every one and any one who follows it.

Now, does this sentence mean 'literally'??? NO! It just means, you accept someone as your guide, mentor, teacher and seek their counsel before taking any major decisions in life. It can be your parent, spouse, friend or scriptures like Ramayana, Geetha and so on....

Then you can never go wrong...

on taking decisions

…..contd……….

Some of the posts for which I have given the dates you need to read the previous posts and the latter ones too to understand the complete explanation……take time to read all of them and follow the instructions if you want the solution. But, if you want someone else to take a decision on your behalf well, that doesn’t work that way here….and what decision others are taking is inacceptable to you….so remember every decision in life will come with pros and cons for sure….and no decision can show its repercussions in toto to us today….so all that we can do is based on our expectations and desire, take a decision in the best of our interest and to the best of our abilities and go ahead and face the consequences what ever they be……

My favourite line while taking a decision is “Unless I take a decision and walk on it, how will I know whether I was right or wrong. And everytime, I have been proved wrong in taking decision, I said to myself “atleast now I know why it’s not right for me” because if I hadn’t walked this path I would be living with a regret that may be I would have been better off on this path than the other…..for me regret of not having ‘done something’ is more bigger than living with the pain of ‘wrong decision’ always! That’s my mantra for life! You have to decide yours for yourself! No other person can do that for you – now or never……..

The Road Not Taken

By Robert Frost

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Me, My Guru – On Hindrances in problem solving

Me, My Guru – On Hindrances in problem solving

Then talk to yourself with an intention to find out ‘about the problem’. Knowing ‘the problem’ and ‘about it’ is half the battle won! Then take necessary action for the same”.

Later she talked on other topics but I didn’t register any of them. Sometimes, one word, one thought, one sentence or a story says it all. I take just that for a day and plan to work on it. And it has borne fruit – always!

One gem collected per day made me rich on all accounts. Now, all I had to do was to ‘encash’ it. That, was totally my choice. It depended totally on me. And this is the reason why no two student who met benefited the same way!

Points to remember and understand :

    • Life is not about collecting stories, quotes or sayings...
    • All teachings come to naught if not applied.
    • Life gives us opportunities to put to good use all that we have understood (or atleast say we have?!).
    • Unless we are able to apply what we have learnt, how will we know that we have learnt?
    • Unless we have opportunities to apply what we have learnt, how will we grow?
    • Unless we have opportunities to behave differently and act differently from before, how will we know we have grown?
    • So, to let us know of our understanding, wisdom, application of it in life we are thrown problems in our life.
    • Every time we treat a problem as an opportunity to express our growth, know you have passed the test. You have reclaimed yourself. You have learnt to live life. You have learnt the 'art of living'

    On taking Decisions!

If you think, you will never leap….you never will…..

There never will be right time to take 'right decisions'. Life is happening now....your 'now' decision will decide what your tomorrow is going to be....take charge of your life....

There always will be reasons to postpone taking that 'leap' of decision....you decide on your instinct and take it......

Every decision will have its pros and cons....no decision of any body in the world has only 'pros' to it.....it's just that when pros out weight the  cons, we call it a 'right decision'.

When things work out in our favour, we call it 'right decision'.

But 'haven't things that worked out right ' at one point of time been the reason for pain in the later point of time? In that case, what that a right decision or the wrong one?

So, look at all that your decision has given you as the reward of your decision.......
all that you have missed as price you have paid to have taken this path......
and there always will be other options worth taking (in our mind).....

but.....if you wait - remember, life is slipping away too.....can you get back these moments..........?

And I can let go of you when you decide you don’t want to walk this path and instead only collect the materials of this world with reiki taught to you! If your desire, expectation is something away from this, I can’t be of any use to you in any way! Instead of staying here and getting angry and hurt for not having your expectation met, I suggest let’s part as friends. Move on!  *

Go to a master who can live up to your expectation – whatever that is! I am not a one-stop shop that fulfills everyone’s expectations. So go wherever your desire takes you! If possible, go without malice in your heart – for that would only be harming you in the long run.

Au revoir! And good luck on your journey wherever it takes you or with whom so ever you wish to continue it with!

17 Quotes from Classic Greek Philosophers

This is just a pointer on how to understand this blog especially Me, My guru series. Hope it proves useful to you!

*This is the answer to your question as to why some masters and grandmasters and their students are no more in touch with me.

    # choices, expectations, desires, wants, hope, destiny, failure, road taken,

    Statements addressed :
    • "I hate to heal everytime i need to address some issue in my life. I hate it that I have to heal so much. I don't like healing so many issues in my life." - and related statements, opinions and choices

    Points to take home :

    • See everything in blog as your solution to your problem as it is written only for that!
    • You applying it in your life or not is a choice you have. But the solution is given - the final way the moment crisis or difficulty arises in your life. Every time you raise a question it is addressed. Answers are not what you desire them to be. They are what they ought to be! Take it or leave them is your choice. But they remain the same - for one and all!
    • One who sees it as and when he does will sit to heal!
    • One who tries to understand with 'limited and twisted logic and reasoning' will suffer till he gets bored and tired of suffering.
    • This life or after 100 kalpas (in each kalpa we have multiple pralayas (end times like now pandemic) ) the final solution is always to go within and correct what ever is going wrong there.
    • To address our inner nature is all it takes to correct the issues that it reflects in our outer world!
    Today's HW :

Go through one of the previous Me, My Guru post and read it with this new understanding. See if you are able to understand it better now! See if it relates with you problem now!
