Now the question is "What does taking care of this vehicle called body actually mean and how does it benefit me?" "Does it mean that if I take good care of my body, then I will never fall sick?"

Taking good care of the body doesn’t mean –
-Applying expensive creams and colouring it or parts of it, beautifying it with piercing, tattooing and clothing and accessories certainly DON’T come under this category. They are like adding extra – fittings to our car/vehicle – like mirror, painting some figures on the vehicle, etc. That suits the eye but it’ll not reflect on the vehicle’s performance.

ONLY servicing, oiling it filling it with diesel/petrol such acts make a difference in the vehicle’s performance.

Likewise, few tips that go a long way in maintaining this body are:

A. “Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy if not wise for sure!”

B. Right kind of food is eaten – green vegetables, sprouts, fruits and vegetables, instead of deep fries and drinks that are harmful to the body especially the aerated drinks.

C. Breathe properly. Breath is the basis of life and the stomach should expand when inhaled and should contract when exhaled. Many times it’s the other way round. Proper breathing ensures good oxygen supply through blood to all body parts and thereby good health is a possibility. To attain this start with pranayamam – deep breathing daily at least 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes in the night and see the benefits in the weeks to come not only on your physical self but also on your emotional self.

a. Sit in a comfortable position.
b. Preferably do it early in the morning or before eating anything or in empty stomach.
c. If after lunch/dinner give a gap of 3 hours for the food to be digested and then proceed with Pranayamam.
d. Take a deep breath.
e. Let it fill your entire abdomen.
f. Do it slowly.
g. Exhale gently.
h. Don’t pressurize yourself to do for long hours at the start.
i. Be relaxed and let the breath guide you gently to calmness.
j. After 15 minutes just breathe normally with eyes closed and sit calmly for few minutes – as long as you wish.
k. Rub your eyes with both your palms. Open your eyes.

follow this tips till I get back to you with few more in the next post....

take care...
