The love angel in my life…!

While I have an imaginary picture of an angel,

I also have a faint idea, that, one of the 

meanings of angel is ‘God’s servant’!

I was trying to scan through the list of my

well wishers whom I can call ‘the love angel 

in my life’ that fits the above definition!

I can single this one person out, though 

others did their best in making my life 

worthwhile!

This person has been there with me since

my childhood, making me happier by 

helping me taste the small and big 

pleasures of life, helping me in taking 

decisions, guiding me when I am at 

crossroads, warning me when I am about 

to make a wrong move, cajoling me, 

coaxing me, always…!

Had he not been mentoring me all 

through my life so far, I would not have

been where I am today!

I had heard about guardian angels and

healing angels, but if I have to identify 

someone as ‘love angel’ in my life, it is 

this person!

It is none other than ‘me’!

Reiki first degree starts with expressing 

gratitude to myself, by saying ‘I thank and 

love myself’! I am the 'love angel' to myself!

The pleasure or happiness that I had 

enjoyed in my life is because of this

body, through the five senses of vision, 

sound, smell, taste and touch!

But for the love that I had for myself, 

I would not have taken care of myself 

so well all these years, and enjoyed through

these sensory organs and brought

happiness to myself. I am sure I will continue

to love myself!

While writing this, it strikes me and makes

me ponder ‘can I try and make my life 

worthy enough to be a love angel for others’!

The love angel in my life!

Second in my list of The Love Angels of my Life is Appa (Dad). He was tall, handsome, upright and looked straight like a movie star of the 1950s' & 60s'...

He taught me to form "my own opinion & Be myself"... Even though it went against him many number of times, he never discouraged me from "Being Me"... He also encouraged reading good books & if my language is good, its becoz of him... He wud call a spade a spade & and say from childhood that "I was not good enough", when compared to all the other 'bright guys' & my siblings around... He was stoic, fair with everyone, honest & wud never pamper us...

At a crucial juncture in my life when I deserved  a promotion in my job, I was unfairly sacked... He was so upset with my boss & wanted to fire him... That was a very defining moment for me, as I then realized & felt the hidden love come out in support & concern...
A year before he passed away, when we're together alone in a quiet sweet moment, he shared with me that he was proud of me for the way I handled some of the difficult challenges with composure & confidence... Even now it gives me goosebumps and a lump in my throat...

He taught me 'tough love' and to stand my ground on my own to embrace life as it comes with all its toughness... And as I embraced the realities of life, I only found toughness dissolves when you face them head on... You learn new life lessons and grow...  Tough times don't last, only tough people do...

Forgive me for all my trespasses APPA, I Thank you & Love you for just not being the Bestest Dad, but also my Spirit Guide in this life...

The Love Angel in my life

Among the more than a dozen Love Angels in my life... My wife, Radha will be standing there, beautiful, tall & right at the top...

She lovingly took care of the home & children without any complaints... The children have grown beautiful, intelligent & responsible & thru them I see her... Life's journey took us together to many places & she came along like a true partner without any fuss... She had her quota of sufferings that came from her expectations & she coped with them thru acceptance & love... I saw her real beauty emerge thru her fight with leukemia... I was with her, in her final moments... there was no complaints, no tears & just a total simple acceptance to whatever was happening... I witnessed a graceful, loving & grateful Goodbye to life & existence...
She taught me Love & Gratitude and was the One who introduced me to Reiki...

PS : This is the most beautiful "description and expression of love angel" received till date ......may such affection, care and concern find place in every house and heart.......

It's the person that 'dies' but the love, concern, affection stay on for ever to meet each other at different point of time - again and again....

So, spread affection with all your heart, it is the most beautiful 'investment and legacy' you can leave behind for yourself in future. You'll receive it again and again in all times to come walking into your life in various stages and in various forms. This is the ONLY WAY one can get love, respect and trust in one's life - by giving that in toto to the person in one's life........

one of the most common complaint I get to hear ALWAYS IS "Maam, I WANT that kind of love and affection in my life!!! Why am I not getting it? I deserve it blah, blah, blah...."

The answer is simple and said million times already "If you haven't received it yet, it simply means you haven't given it yet EVER  in any of your life times. We get what we deserve - not what we want! If we want love we need to give out love in life - to the people in our life - be it parent, kids, siblings, nation, underprivileged - the list is many - you choose how much to give out love...and that investment will bring return in  your future for yourself only.....A selfish person can never receive or give love. One who is always behind 'physical fulfillment' will never find love in his life - and what is such a life? It is nothing but a burden and pain for himself and for the people in his life....

Reiki helped me see how much I was loved by everyone in my life. It was hard to pick one person. After a lot of thinking, I picked someone who represents everybody’s love for me. Someone whose presence shook my redundant value system and much more.

So, here is my love angel!

My love angel - my son ‘Sheel’

When I was a kid and was upset with my mom for any reason 

she would say you will understand parent’s love when you 

become a parent. Sometimes, she would say you 

will know how important it is to live when you have a kid. 

There were many more statements she made 

which did not make much sense to me then. 

When you entered my life, the essence of those words 

started to become clear. 

Your love, your smile, your joy, your tears, your needs, 

your desires, everything moved me.

When I sat back and thought of the kind of unconditional 

love and acceptance 

I got from you and the love I had for you, I realized that

 this was not the first time that I  have experienced it.

You remind me of the love I have received from 

my parents, siblings, husband, in-laws,

 my inseparable friends, my teachers and 

gurus, from pets, from life etc. 

You have helped me re-live those moments 

and understand love. 

As you grow older and become more

independent, it will be time for me to step 

back and let you experience and live your life. 

 I have and will always love you.

I am grateful to you for choosing me as your

 parent and helping me understand love. 

May you receive love and joy all through your life!

PS: thanks to maam and reiki for helping me clear

my head and understand my 

experiences. We are given numerous opportunities

to feel love, we just need to be

 open to it. 

Just a word :

Children are the gifts from heaven sent to us for safe-keeping. 

They are sent to us to help us understand and apply selflessness

 in the most natural way. They are not in our lives so that we can 

"USE" them for our agendas. They are here just to let us live and 

express our best in this world!

Kalyani and Sistla garu my parents. They have been the definition of unconditional love in my life . I want to share a photo ie a memory of my childhood with them . 

Especially kalyani she is an embodiment of love for me . 

After coming to reiki I realised the greatest blessing of my life . Thank you reiki .

Ps : they are my adopted parents .

PS : Look at the quote that she sent about adoption...."the world may not change if you adopt a child but for that child their world will change" well said - A photo is worth a thousand words and it is so reflected in this quote sent.....

NOTE : This sure must be clear for all to see how to go about in this exercise.. looking forward to receiving from one and all!!!

One more point : Yes, you can send about more than one 'love angel' of your life - just let it be one person per mail........and do write what that person did for you, means to you or in what way he /she is special for you....don't just say 'I love him'

My parents - 

They gave such immense love and joy during childhood that being loving has become our natural state. papa had a transferable job, so Mummy used to work really hard to manage the home and her work. She worked two jobs and would be on her feet from 5AM to 10PM. And she did all this with a lot of love! I can never forget her tender hands holding me tight. Whenever I would get sad or tensed, she would say 'Mai hu na tere saath, tujhe kuch nahi hoge'. I say the same words to my son now. 

My Papa used to pamper us with the best care. I could also bank on him to be there for me, I can bank on him even now. Be it my last minute assignment printout or my friend stuck in the police station, he was always there , even if it was 12 in the night. Once I had asked him for a red color car, it was expensive and I dint know then, but my Papa used all the money he had to buy it for me. Even now whenever we meet, he pampers me with my favorite fruits and sweets. He keeps saying aur kha, aur kha, till. i feel my tummy will burst. 

My parents never uttered a bad word, spoke harshly to us or to each other, ever! They taught us how to love. - Madhumita

Small word :

Most of the you have come back to share your stories of love and affection that you received from your parents. Good to hear that!

When you attended the I dg class and I asked you to "thank your parent" the response was "but maam, they didn't do/ did this to me. Why should I thank them?..."etc etc...

and I remember saying "Become a parent and you'll understand this better...."

Most of you have become parents yourselves and the response from you is endearing for me to notice.

The journey from 'but you don't know my parent..' to 'I thank my parent..' is a journey that you made (almost most of you..) and I am taking this opportunity to congratulate each one of you who took your parent for granted - taking time to thank them today! Bless you on this....

And the 'sharing' is also genuine (till now) so bless you all for that too....

Apply the same principle and understanding in all your relationships. You didn't understand or felt you received love then from your parents but you do understand and feel that now. Similarly, in all your relationships maybe you are not able to feel the affection and concern the way you want it NOW. But trust REIKI  and the process of healing - YOU'LL RECEIVE ALL THAT YOU DESIRE AND MORE - JUST BE WITH THE HEALING, my dear! 

Have patience and keep healing - good times are just round the corner for the sadhaks - don't lose heart, don't lose hope - you'll receive more than what you desire - for sure!

Very soon in near future you'll look back at this time and smile......

A small request : Please send reiki to your parents (even those who are no more with you) as a form of gratitude and love for all that you received from them for next one week to come (at least). Those who can't for any reason, relax - just don't go around giving reasons for the same. Do it as your own sweet time and pace....

My Mom (Amma) sits with my Dad (Appa) in the list of Love Angels. She was a Beautiful Veena player and my first music teacher... She said "Music is a Beautiful World by Itself"... I helped her when she was unwell & learnt cooking from her and today as I manage by myself I am grateful for her love & blessings...

When I was sacked unceremoniously and was upset with my boss who did it, she looked at me softly and asked me to forgive him, as the same person had earlier recognized & promoted me too... For a moment I was silent as the truth hit me hard, and without thinking I just forgave him unconditionally... It was one of those pivotal moments... I felt light as I forgave myself too and life was never ever the same again... Amma helped in making me realize the immense value of forgivness...

Thank you MA, Love You for everything you did for us May God Bless you with All the Goodness & Abundance of Love & Joy, wherever you are...

Just a word :

Many times we find and see that a parent is very 'hard, strict and may be harsh' too in many instances - in the way they talk to us or behave with us!

But if we look beyond those words and actions of theirs, may be we would realize their concern and desire to groom us against the perils of this harsh world. They had to be tough to make us tough. May be they suffered more than us while being tough with us - think about it!

Hi 

I feel Loved , blessed and lucky to have one of the coolest Dadi's of this age who :  

1) Loves watching movies in theaters with me

2) Posing for such crazy and funny pics (This was at 3am in the morning recently while attending one of her Great Grand Son's Marriage) 

3) Enjoying to heart's content Ice creams , Cakes, Cool drinks, Noodles & All kinds of starters the event has to offer

4) Is ever active and even in this age prefers to clean her room , wash utensils etc..

5) And not but not the least always BLESSES EVERYONE AROUND HER, Anyone who comes to her she always says "Kaise Hai ... Aashirwaad Hai Mera" with both hands

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for anyone to live with such people and I'm really the blessed one to have this opportunity. Love You Dadi - Vaibhav

Just a word :

When a grandparent enters through the door, discipline flies out of window...

I have seen grandma look at her grand-daughter as if she was just waiting to see her grand-daughter all through the day and when she looked at her, her day is complete!!!

P.S : Before  reiki healings I never realised 

how blessed I am to have such a wonderful family .

Especially my grandma she has told me that guru is the ultimate  

also she is the one who has bound all of us together.
