Kabir ke dohe - On cleaning!

Kabir ke dohe - On cleaning!

Nahaaye dhoye kya hua

Man maila na jaye

Meen sadaa jal mein rahe

Dhoye baas na jaye

नहाये धोये क्या हुआ

मन मैला ना  जाये

मीन सदा जल में रहे

धोये बॉस ना जाए।

What is the use of taking a bath or washing and cleaning

for the dirt of the mind doesn't go away

As fish is ever in water

and yet even after cleaning its stench doesn't go away...

It means:

Don't be so stuck up on just the rituals (like cleaning the body etc) for any amount of cleaning the body doesn't do away with the dirt of the mind. Just as the fish is ever in water and yet its stench remains with it forever!

Concentrate on the cleaning of intentions, attitudes, and emotions from within for only that remains and that matters - both to you and in the end!

(those who can translate better, welcome)

Meanings:

meen - fish

nahaaye - taking bath

dhoye - washing

baas - stench (bad smell or odour)

On moving forward!

On moving forward!

We all want to move forward. Our dreams are of the future. We dream and wish for future – well most of times.  We want things to shape the way we dream of them. Am I wrong here?

Well, assuming and talking for those who dream ahead and wish for things to shape their way – let me give you a ‘heads-up’ on that! IT IS NOT GOING TO BE SO!

Yes! Unfortunately, so! None of your dreams and wish is going to come true – but this is only for those who are still holding on to their past!

Every time you bring up past and keep talking about it, cribbing about it, complaining and generating energies of hatred, irritation, anger and what not for that – know you are sowing seeds of the same for your future.

So your future is not going to be what you want it to be – BUT IT WILL BE THE WAY YOU ARE WORKING TO SHAPE IT. It will be full of the energies that you are generating – that is full of anger, complaints, frustration, irritation and all that!

So you decide on what you want and how you want to create your future at least from today on wards…..

# Destiny and fate, creating a beautiful tomorrow, creating life and future, beautiful life, energies, feelings and emotions, you are what you create, you are stumbling block in your life, be the change you want to see in your life, let go off past

I know you have read this link many times before...and yet since the questions remain the same it goes to mean it has not been understood in toto yet...it is yet to be applied, accepted, ingested in our personality and life and see the change as in the story....

read the story to understand how a little change brings about a huge change in life....the same applies to all. Those who are interested only in venting and wanting someone to throw their negativity will not benefit this time too and be with same problems - not because they are meant to be so. But because they CHOOSE  to be so! They are adamant enough to not make the change that can bring abundance and happiness that they say they want into life in reality. So they are where they are - not because of some mother/mother-in-law, child /spouse, sister /sister-in-law, boss /company, ill health or so.....

Those who are going to read and take time to ponder on this pass your understanding, observations, applications to others......share if you care.......

Life gives us opportunities to develop 'great qualities' like sharing in life and become 'great' eventually. But we miss out on every opportunity under various excuses....again choice makes or breaks us...choice determines our actions - they our behaviour and our habit and that in turn our character. our character decides our destiny....

Change the perspective lady!

 Contd........

Change the perspective lady!

Sometimes we will fall sick and on other days we are healthy.

Some days we receive people in life and on some days we lose some!

Healing cannot and won’t make a change in ‘change of seasons’!

But it will help us change our perspective for better! Because, it is the perception that decides whether we suffer or enjoy the ‘change of season’ every time!

And that is all we need in our life every time we suffer or are in pain!

So why not put reasoning to good use and change our perspective for better?

All this time, we have justified our emotions and validated our suffering and pain with reasoning. Today, let's put reasoning and logic to good use - to benefit us. Let us learn to use reasoning the right way. Instead of standing by our desires and our emotions, let's question our desires and emotions. Let's work towards desires if need be, but with the change in our way of working towards their fulfillment. Let’s make this small beginning. Let’s make this small change.

Let’s see where it leads us.

Just let’s do it!

Have your ever changed your perspective and found difference it brought about in your life?

Would there be any change in the state of mind because of change in the perspective?

Change the perspective lady!

Contd........

Change the perspective lady!

It still rained on ‘some days’. It was sunny on other days. Days being rainy and sunny were still the same. But she and her life had changed for better. Only thing that changed was ‘the perspective’. And that was enough to make abundance come into her life!

You see in life – our life – we’ll always have some sunny days and some rainy days. We can’t control them. We can’t change that!

But we can change the way we look at ‘sunny days’ and ‘rains’. And that many times is enough to bring about sea-change in our life and ourselves.

Some days will be good.

Some days will be challenging.

Some days are exciting. And some days are simply boring, dull and not happening.

But instead of seeking all days to be ‘good and happening’ if we only asked ‘How do I make best use of today?’ maybe our days would be more productive and less painful! Think about it!

Some people will be loving and helpful.

Some people will be mean and hurtful.

Some places we make money and at some other place we lose money!

Let’s be thankful for both!

Can’t we be thankful for both?

read the above link to understand the difference in words said and the what they meant.......apply it in your life. The day difference between intent and expression is zero or in other words, the day your words mean, actually mean what you intent your life will become a blessing. You will be a blessing unto yourself when you  manifest your desires with your single intent. Why live like beggars seeking favours from others when you are capable of creating and writing your destiny at the drop of a hat every single day of your life?

Think about it!

Is it because you didn't know this possibility or

Is it because you love to live a life of a beggar begging someone else to fulfill your desires?

Do you think it is easy to live a life of a maggots crawling and being crushed by one and all?

What fear holds you back from experiencing your full worth?

What laziness holds you back?

Question your intent, question your fears, question your choices and then seek help from Reiki or God...

Change the perspective lady!

 Contd........

Change the perspective lady!

Whenever it was sunny, she would cry thinking “oh my poor child! How will husband of my eldest daughter sell umbrellas enough now, since people would not buy umbrellas when it is not raining?” Thinking of her eldest daughter’s problems and lack of abundance, she would worry and cry the whole day!

When it rained, she would think “Oh, my poor second daughter! How will her husband go fishing now that it is raining? How will my daughter wade through these tough times?”

This way both on sunny and rainy days she would cry one way or the other. She came to be called the ‘Cry Lady’. She was mocked by her villagers. She felt insulted. She was hurt. She thought no one understood her. She lived a lonely life!

A monk came to this village called ‘Reason’. He saw her crying every single day! He felt bad for her. He asked her the reason for her pain and suffering. She gave her ‘valid reasons’ for crying. The monk saw her pain. He saw ‘the cause of her pain’ too! He knew the solution to her problem too!

He smiled and said “Dear lady, do not cry! From now on, you need cry no more. I’ve a technique that’ll help you to be happy and loved. You’ll find release from your suffering. You’ll have friends in your life. You’ll forget what it is to be lonely and sad!”

The old woman – mayya became interested on hearing his words. She sought his advice and pleaded him to teach ‘the technique’ to her. In reply monk gave her this technique “on sunny days, think of your younger daughter. Thank Sun-God for being ‘sunny’. These are the days her husband will go out into deep seas and catch lots of fish. The more fish he catches the more he will sell and more he sells more he makes money. Think of all the abundance in her life that ‘Sunny days’ would bring!

And on rainy days, thank ‘Rain God’ for it is because of Him that it is raining. And then think of how it is good for your elder daughter. Think of all the umbrellas your eldest son-in-law would be able to sell and make money! Think of all the abundance that could and would come into their lives. Be happy for your eldest daughter!” So saying, he left.

Mayya found this technique easy to follow. She did not use her reasoning to find flaws in the technique. She did not use her logic to 'understand' how the technique works or what benefits she would receive. She believed the monk and his words! She followed his advice to the T. and in very short time; she was found smiling and laughing the whole day! There was ‘thanks’ on her lips most part of the day! Very soon, she came to be called ‘smiling lady’. People found her expression pleasant. They found her smile soothing and warm. She had friends everywhere she went! She no longer was sad, she no longer knew pain. She no longer suffered!

Pointers in this post :

"This way both on sunny and rainy days she would cry one way or the other. She came to be called the ‘Cry Lady’. She was mocked by her villagers. She felt insulted. She was hurt. She thought no one understood her. She lived a lonely life! " - Look at this para and the one previous to this. Aren't we like this most of the time? Isn't our complaints so similar to 'mayya'? First we ask for a wish and cry till it is not fulfilled. And then complain saying if God/Reiki knew that I would be unhappy with this desire being fulfilled, why did it fulfill my wish in the first place? Either way, we ONLY COMPLAIN. Either way, we are sad, irritated, angry, demanding and seeking explanations from God/Reiki/Guru. Think about it!

"She did not use her reasoning to find flaws in the technique. She did not use her logic to 'understand' how the technique works or what benefits she would receive. She believed the monk and his words! " - Technique is not to get results that we seek. They can also just be something to change our perspective, attitude and cleanse us of our negativities like anger, lust, demanding nature, ingratitude, selfishness and greed etc. When a person is looking at the 'end result' then there is no change in his attitude and character and then he blames the technique. Then the right technique also doesn't give the right results. And the blame is on the technique. Remember, a drunken and angry driver meets with an accident in the best of vehicles too. Vehicle is not at fault. Remember, the technique is to sober you from a 'person who is drunk with anger, lust, adamant and selfish nature'. The sooner the person realises that the sooner is his healing.

Look at the last para. When her attitude changed, she found all her complaints gone. SHE was the cause of pain in her life. Not the people of her village! She was the cause of her suffering - not the seasons of nature.

How do you think this post would help you in any way to better your perspective and frame of mind?

Why do you think the village is called 'Reason'? What does it represent and why?

Change the perspective lady!

Change the perspective lady!

When our expectations are not met we get angry!

At that time we justify our emotions and we identify with our expectations. But if we look at others situations and understand that – many times instead of anger, we could’ve generated love and respect for the same person! It’s all about perspective. Their actions don’t generate our emotions. Our perspective does it all. So, if there is lack of love in our life that is not because of people in our life! It is basically because of how we see and look at people in our life!

Change the perspective and let love flow in and through you!

Change the perspective lady!

There once was an old woman name ‘mayya’ in a certain village named ‘Reason’. She was always sad and crying her heart out – day in and day out! She had two daughters whom she loved dearly. They both were married and lived in nearby villages. One was married to ‘an umbrella seller and the other to ‘a fisherman’.

How will my daughter wade through these tough times?”

read the link to understand the following points :

What is the definition of good and bad?
Are we really good or in relation to someone else only?
We presume we are good, but are we actually good - think about it...
When we change for good our world changes for better. Does that not mean the 'bad' that we encountered, saw and hated was actually within us all this time? think about it!

Pointers in this story :

"When our expectations are not met we get angry!" - This is the premise for this story......many times we have held discussions on expectations and anger and yet it remains a subject worth discovering and understanding. We may understand the words many times yet when it comes to applying, that's when our logic buts in to negate all our understanding and say " yeah, true, but...." and lo! down the drain goes all our hard earned understanding.

Understanding is no understanding if it is not applied, ingested into our persona and it reflects in our way of thinking and living it out!

"There once was an old woman name ‘mayya’ in a certain village named ‘Reason’. " - Look at two major characters here that are distractions and culprits that distract us from our understanding and our desire to be balanced in and through all stations of life.

One is 'mayya' loosely translated means 'mother'. The central character is called mayya and is also a mother. We usually identify ourselves with our roles in our life. We become the roles we play and start arguing from that identification. That way our 'logic' says we can hurt the other person or make him lose his argument in our favour - whichever the need may be!

How many times you must have said "but maam, as a mother is she not supposed to...etc, etc"

"but maam, as a mother how can I not worry about my child..."

"but maam, is it not my duty to see my child get married etc, etc..."

replace 'mother' with any other role of a parent, young man, spouse, sibling, relative, elder person, friends and why even God...we justify their duties and also our sufferings based on these relationships or roles that we play.

The logic may seem right, but it is basically stupidity and flawed and hence doesn't hold good in the region of 'Truth'.

"Reason" - We think we are arguing on the basis of reason but it happens otherwise - always. We argue from the basis of our assumptions, definitions of relationships and expectations. Hence our suffering is baseless and useless. And we get angry that no one is taking us out of our misery! How sorry is our state!?

Where did you apply this understanding of today?

Me, My Guru

....contd...

Me, My Guru

I waited for two days before going to meet her. This time I wanted to be sure and wanted to show to her that I completely understood the statement that she made “You are what you read”.

When a situation happened that gave me a perspective on this statement, I rushed to her place to put it across to her.

I was dead excited this time too but I tried not to show it on my face…I took few extra breaths before I opened her gate. As luck would have it, she was seeing off couple of her students.  That means I didn’t get extra time to slow my heart beat before meeting her.  But, I used those few seconds that I had to reduce my excitement.  I wanted her students to stay few more minutes that day.  I could use those extra minutes for myself.  I smiled.  On other days, I would have been angry that others were already with her.  I never felt I should share her with others.  This always angered me.  But today, it was different.  I didn’t mind.  Why?  Because I wanted to relax a bit before facing her and these students were actually indirectly helping me do it.  So I was actually thanking them where I would have usually cursed them.  That set me thinking.  I was same and so was she and so were her other students.  But, my requirement has made all the difference in my feelings for them.  I had been “angry” when other students came to meet her and today I am “happy” that they are there to meet her and I wanted them to stay a bit “longer too”.  Nothing had changed except my need to get that extra time to calm my senses.  And that had made all the difference.  It means my feelings were reflection of my need.  It means my feelings depended upon my motive – which were subject to change depending upon my requirement at that point of time. “Oh, my God!” and I had been thinking all these days that I was angry with her other students because I “loved” her and hence didn’t wish to share her with others.  It was not so.  “I am what I read”.  It means, “My feelings only reflect my state of mind”, it means “my anger reflects my expectations, it doesn’t talk about my situation at all!” -  it has nothing to do with my Guru or her other students.  I was confused.  I felt cheap.  I couldn’t face her today.  Poor lady, I had showered her with so much of negativity and yet she never complained.  On the contrary, I was complaining saying “she was being partial”.

“I am what I read” I had to digest this and for that I needed to be alone for sometime. With a slight nod of head I signaled to her saying “I am leaving” and left in a hurry.  She nodded her head in agreement.  She didn’t stop me. I thanked her for that.  She was still talking to others as I closed the gate behind me…….
