Nirvana Satakam

…contd….

Next Stanza says “As I am eternal, I don’t have death. I am not born hence don’t have parents. Since I know ‘self’ I don’t need a Guru and I don’t have any to identify with for I am eternal unchanging Shiva.

I am all ‘that is’ and am above qualities. I am above world and hence don’t need liberation. Since I am ‘sada Shiva’ – the eternal blissful one’, I don’t need anything to fulfill me. for I am that consciousness called Shiva”.

Shiva here represents ‘the auspicious’ and denotes ‘the supreme Brahman”.

I request all of you to listen to this once again with eyes closed. You can practice meditation with these lines playing for you” and she made me play it for everyone then and there.

There was peace and no one opened their eyes for ½ an hour or so. And when we did we were like lost to this world. It was a surreal experience. No one talked for some time to come.

Then I asked “but you never explained this before” and my voice became a whisper at the end of the sentence.

She started laughing and it was so musical. When she laughed it sounded as if it was a brook that tripped and tossed on its way.

“Then what was I teaching to you since day one? What am I explaining to you? All that I am telling you and trying to make you realize is to realize the redundancy of 5 basic emotions of lust, greed, anger, envy and attachment. Every story I tell tries to explain that relationships are yours to experience but they are not YOU” she asked with a amused tone.

“Ok fine. This I agree you tell but other things were not explained” I said….

For some reason I woke up with the lyrics of ‘Shivoham’, so looked this post up to listen to it. It’s pure bliss to listen to it with closed eyes. I felt strong vibrations throughout my body.

After listening to it, I went over the article and found my message for today and presumably for this year.

Thank you!
