Me, my Guru – on perception

Me, my Guru – on perception

Bhishma smiled, turned to Duryodhana, and said “You see; you couldn’t find even one good person in our kingdom whereas Yudhishtra couldn’t find even one bad person in the same kingdom. This is the quality required of a leader. Each person will have some weaknesses. But a leader is one who can see the good or some capability in him and put that to good use. That way, every person can be utilised for some good in him for the benefit of the kingdom. That way our kingdom will prosper.” Duryodhana went away angrily.

So you see, leader is one who can see good in all. This doesn’t apply to leader or a Guru, it applies to each one of us. The more I train to see and appreciate the good in others, the more the divine in me strengthened. That is the ‘psychic impression’ called samskaras that we carry over the janmas. That in turn decides the quality of our life. That is how destiny is formed. The asura in me will see ‘flaws’ in Lord Rama, Krishna, Buddha, Jesus or even Mother Theresa. Now what to say of people in my life. This being the case, how can one expect ‘good relationships’ in ones’ life? It’s not that such people don’t get to have friends or family. No! everyone has. It’s just that such nature will attract similar mentality people/person in my life.

# on perception, point of view, seeing good in others, Buddha and buddhu, you are what you see, outer world reflection of inner world

also read previous post on this topic for added clarity: https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2015/03/oh-god.html

and

Points to ponder:

  • We all want others to respect us, listen to us, follow us. We want to have power and position to lead others.
  • But the qualities that are required to do so, we royally lack and don't care to develop.
  • The qualities of a leader or Guru are not rocket-science. They are simple and told umpteen times before. But following them, developing them SEEMS herculean task not by way of its implementation but because we don't want to develop those qualities. Why? That why each one of you should find it out for yourself.
  • Some of you may say "But, I don't want to maam" fair enough - just stop complaining that everyone is taking you for granted. You can't cry that you are not given a position of respect and power. You can't seek the perks of being a leader or a Guru - remember that!

Time for Homework:

Pick up any one quality that you don't want to develop /overcome - say laziness, indiscipline, punctuality, regularity, participation in group activities - and so on and so forth. Meditate on it and get back with your responses if you please. Even if you don't want to put it up in blog, still do the exercise and jot it down in your journal.....
No need to do any follow up action on these qualities. Just meditate and write it down. It may take couple of weeks for some to understand the reason behind even one quality - no problem...just do it...
Sit in meditation just 15mts per day. The day you start getting answers start writing it down.

you are lions not sheep!

…contd….

Now, before going further, let me explain the common allegation ‘madam, you never give straight answers. Why can’t you just say ‘yes’ or no’? Because you don’t want and won’t take it!

Suppose you ask me a simple question ‘should I marry this person though my parents are against it? And if I say ‘yes’ you would immediately say ‘but what about my parents? I don’t want to hurt them and I can’t loose them too! Please tell me what to do. Please guide me.’

Then I say ‘forget the boy and marry the one your family chooses’ you immediately say ‘no. I can’t forget him. I’ll never marry anyone else!’ so, now tell me will my simple ‘yes’ or ‘no’ solve your query. So, instead of saying what you ought to do, I explain what’s bothering you, what happens if you marry as per your choice or as per parents choice. I explain the benefits and loses in both the scenario and show you where your fear comes from. Then when you are shown the stakes and the consequences, you know what to do. You do it with conviction and are happy (atleast while taking decisions) and that is important.

Here, I said openly tell your Guru’s name and you came up with so many reasons and justification but didn’t follow it. Why? Because, humans by nature are not made to be ‘sheep following a shepherd blindly’. As much as few religions preach it, it is not practical. We can’t blindly follow a set or rules – be it given by family, master, kith or kin or society. We are given ‘freewill’ to choose by God and it is sin not to use it correctly. We are not using it rightly because of ignorance. We get caught in the situation and become emotional. We become emotionally blinded and hence can’t see the situation objectively. When an outsider gives you an insight of the same situation objectively and without any personal agenda, you know the pros and cons of doing an act and then you can decide how to act accordingly then. But remember, you decide. I can show the path, but walk you should. You are not dogs to be trained to behave in a certain way. You are divine souls who’ve right to experience the life the way you choose. Yes, you may choose the pain and suffering but that doesn’t negate your right to choose your experience and learning process. No one can question it or stop it. My job here is to tell or show the consequences of various choices that you make. Show you various possibilities with regards to your response to a situation, to expressing yourself and to act in accordance with your higher self.

Once you have your various options and their affect on you, your journey, I am sure it must be easier for you to take the call.

So, if you see through all the posts, the topics covered may be many but the common thread is just one – to help you see through the ignorance and win over your fear and there by realize that ‘you are the Divine Soul and to Act accordingly!’ (ofcourse, this doesn’t apply to topics of cosmology though. Except that all other topics come under this category and serve this one purpose only!)

To sum up, all our emotions and attitudes are interlinked and hence any attitude that comes to my notice through your comments, questions etc I immediately will notice and explain about it so that you work on it, overcome it and finally realize your potential – your Divinity. Remember, I am not interested in your acts, I am looking at the intent behind the act and ask you to sit in Sadhan. So do re-birth with ingratitude, fear of expression to overcome your fear.

So, please read once again all these posts regarding this topic and if any doubts, please come out with them now….it’s better to ask and to know. That way chances of you wanting to heal them is more.

few questions asked..........

…contd…

Can’t I question him?

Yes, you certainly can. But, when all you spit is venom and hatred, even if HE answers, you wouldn’t get it.

But, on the other hand when you question with humility and desire to know HIM then even “A wind that’s passing through…” will become HIS whisper to you and you would stand in the middle of the road when it is raining cats and dogs and you are drenched and yet you wouldn’t search for some shelter – instead would cry thanking HIM and experience HIS presence. This is no bookish knowledge that I am sharing. It’s a fact and I can vouch for it. But then, that’s for those who seek HIM not to others.

Does it make HIM partial now?

Did HE not stand in front of Hirnayakashyap and othere Asuras who hated HIM. He did and yet they couldn’t know HIM, recognize HIM and understand Him. They considered Him their enemy. So, what He does is always same – be graceful but it depends upon you to see what you want to or how you want to.

And the entire explanation is to make us eligible “to see” clearly ONLY.

Self-realization is a choice. But to understand – whatever it be also and to get WHAT YOU WANT  also you need to SEE CLEARLY. The entire sadhan is to that end only….

If you are angry after reading this post, know you haven’t understood it.

If you are sad or depressed, know you haven’t understood it.

If you are dejected or disappointed, then also you haven’t understood it.

Any sort of negative feeling, know you haven’t got it right.

Simple read, read and read this post again and again. May be 10 times/day but read and contemplate on it daily till you get it right. Read it to seek answers. Read it till you get drenched in your tears of joy that would fall effortlessly while reading it and that would happen the day you understand this post. So be with it till then.

Else, go around confused, angry, frustrated till you have had enough of it and then wanting peace come here to seek it.

Choice is ‘always’ yours to make.

May you make your choices wisely……….

Me, My Guru – on disturbed mind

Contd....

Me, My Guru – on disturbed mind

Don’t justify or feel shame, sad or anger for slipping. Just cut, come back and change the course of your mind to something constructive for yourself and your life.

Sooner than you expect, you’ll see the results in more than one way in you and your life” so saying our Guru left us for the day.

We didn’t know what the call was about or who called. But she had left us. But she didn’t leave before giving us our answers.

We stayed at her place discussing this class and various other topics till late night. She didn’t come back. But, we still felt like staying back. She seemed to leave behind her presence even in her absence. And we were glad to partake of it.

We received our answers. We received our solutions. We received our much needed techniques. Now it was upto us to implement and shape up our lives for good. We had been pain unto ourselves and to our near and dear ones for long!!!

Time to make the shift!

As we closed her gate Rahul and Aziz said “Years ago we with few others went to a temple along with our Guruji. That Disciple was me then. This incident happened with me”.

We were dumb folded!

We wouldn’t have known if he hadn’t disclosed. The more we knew about her, the less we knew!

# Me, My Guru stories, on chattering of mind, control the mind, handling ego, energies, our presence and absence, anger, disturbed mind

Pointers in this post :

"We didn’t know what the call was about or who called. But she had left us. But she didn’t leave before giving us our answers." - Do students really care anything for their master? Do they really feel concerned for their masters' well-being or life? Many times I have told me "Guruji, when we see your relatives or friends in your house we don't like it. We feel they are taking away our time. We come here to spend time with you and you are surrounded by your family and friends". Read this lines. If you feel this is right and my time is yours then may be you are one of them too! This complaint is for after class timings. Students come to meet me after class because 'they were going from this area'...and yet I, my family and friends have wronged!? (जैसे के गलती मेरी हो) . What does it reflect of you? And I unnecessarily had to move out of my own house because of students barging in at all times?! and yet they are angry at me?

Student wants what he wants! Does he ever consider privacy issues of the master? Does he ever respect his wish to be not disturbed for any personal reason? No, how many ever times I tell still you have to call/write and keep doing what you decide to do....

i give all answers, clear all doubts by way of blog regularly and yet....that is not enough......have you ever thought about that quality of yours? think about it! And you are angry at me?! What an irony!

No doubt you don't want to meditate because if you do you will have to face this fact of yours ....but better you do it now when i am still in physical form because i can still guide you to come out of this 'mind game' which is belittling you. This mind game is messing up your life. Better you get aware of it now than later!

This example clearly reflects one's selfishness and insensitivity to others' needs. If this is one example that I can give you, then imagine how much and how you are behaving with your family and friends....no doubt all the complaints, pain and suffering you have in life happens - they happen for this and such related reasons....become aware of such habits, basis of such nature and attitudes and heal them, address them and become free of them. Then the life that was so miserable to you becomes so sweet to you. You are the writer of your life. Write well if you want to enjoy that script.

please change your attitude before it is too late.....change to change your world....change for you to enjoy life as you wish to be a reality.....change for you want to be happy....you are doing no favour to anyone by changing....you are not doing for it is 'punya karma' (to earn brownie points or to go to heaven!??). You are doing it for it is sensible thing to do and be and only a sensible being can truly experience respect, love, affection, clarity of thought and be master of abundance of energy that can be channelised to any area of your life......

As always I repeat, I am here to guide you as much as I can and in the way I can.........do it now when my body is still co-operating enough to do this job......

later on don't say "you should have told us then itself maam....."

Me, My Guru – On disagreement

Me, My Guru – On disagreement

One of the truest signs of maturity is the ability to disagree ...“But Guruji, I trust you and respect you too! But I can’t accept many things that you say. That irritates me and I lose my temper because of that. Don’t expect me to blindly accept all that you say like others! I can’t!”

That was Vaishnav venting out his long, suppressed anger and frustration. Though he had tried to say it with a forced smile and in low tone, his anger was evident for one and all to see!

“But when did I ask you to accept or follow me blindly?” she replied calmly.

Barack Obama Quote: “I will listen to you, especially when we ...

“I wouldn’t have done so. If someone who expected me to heal him came to me and misbehaved so, I wouldn’t be so good to him. If someone to whom I had given or taught anything useful (as Reiki and knowledge in this instance), I wouldn’t take such nonsensical behaviour from the person. If the person misbehaved with me, I would simply show him the door and push him out of my life’ said Murali.

Most of us agreed with him. Yes, we wouldn’t tolerate anyone who misbehaved with us. Especially, in this situation, when she never ill-treated this guy. She had only given knowledge, Reiki and why, even food, when she need not have done so at all. We think twice before giving any of these, without any expectations, to even our family members. And yet he…..still she was answering him. He was a fool for not receiving what he didn’t deserve from her.

And she was ‘good’ beyond repair to have tolerated such behaviour so far!

“But so many of your explanations are painful to me!” he cried out.

Points to understand :

  • What you say is important. But from where you say, with what emotion and what center you say makes it right or wrong!
  • When you have an answer in mind even before you ask your question, then what is the point of asking the question?
  • Don't ask a question if you are not ready for an answer. Answer is not going to be 'what you want to hear'. If the person to whom it is posed is balanced, good and without any personal agenda will give an answer that is 'right'. Right need not be one you are expecting to listen!
  • Answer doesn't hurt you. It is your expectation from that person. If you want him to say what you want to hear, then don't ask for an answer. Ask him to mouth the words you wish to hear! Simple! Keep it simple!
  • Trust is when you know that the person has given the 'right answer' with your higher good in mind. Trust is in the intention of that person. Trust is that the other person is not going to exploit you just because you seek his guidance!
  • Question is one where you ask seeking for an answer.
  • When you demand an explanation it doesn't qualify as a question!
  • When you seek an answer it is not your right!
  • To answer you is not the other person's duty. It is a favour that he does on you when he answers your questions - first understand that!

    Questions answered :

  • What is an expectation?
  • What is trust?
  • Why does an answer hurt us, give us pain?
