Best Moment Quotes: Top 35 Live in the Moment Quotes

It was so with school/ college and any and every other phase of my life!

Love life! Cherish every moment! Living it one day @ a time ... I’ve two options available:
1.     To go on living, complaining and suffering the same way for the rest of my life.
2.     Accept my nature to be at fault. Accept that I don’t have a problem. I am the problem! Stop blaming, accusing, hating, calling names, abusing Reiki, master, Universal laws and God and start first living the life the right way from now on. Stop complaining about everything and everyone!

Start looking at good things instead of only ‘few flaws’ (so called) in life!

Best Moment Quotes: Top 35 Live in the Moment Quotes As I work on my goals and desires, I should also celebrate what I already have in life! We usually take what we have with us for granted. We are so involved in possessing, hoarding and chasing things and people in life that we don’t take time to be with them. Life is not getting things and people! Life is about being with them. Life is about living.

I have board games at home that we hardly put to use. Instead we complain about ‘bad content’ on TV and still keep watching it. Can’t we put it to rest and go on to playing games with our family and friends. Where are those days gone?

40 Family Quotes - Short Quotes About the Importance of Family

We have parks in our vicinity/ colony/ neighbourhood that we hardly visit. And yet complain of being unable to take vacation in some hill station?! Even if you go to the park, it is just to do “rounds” of walk and rush back home. Walking is also done either gossiping or listening to phones. Some great souls watch videos as they walk! Walk as if that is the only thing worth doing for the day! Enjoy your walk! Be with yourself in that walk of your day! Connect with your self during walk! If you can't and don't want to be with self, why would someone else be happy being with you?

Wow!

Life is Too Short Quotes and Sayings to Make You Appreciate It ...
How much time did I spend per day with the little ones at home playing, listening to their dreams, imaginations etc? Do we have family time that doesn’t involve just ‘what to cook tomorrow’ or ‘when to leave for that family function’ type of questions? We already have family that we don’t spend fun-time with and yet complain that we want love; a partner in life!

Quotes About The Present Moment. QuotesGram If you can’t love the people already in your life, are not happy with ones you spend time with now, then no new friends/ job/ partner can give that love/ joy in your life!

So on and so forth…

I need to start living and living today! Yes, I need to stop day dreaming and hoping to live in the future. I need to live today! I need to start living instead of chasing things and people I need….I need to live!

Isn't it an irony that 'today' I want to do few of these things like going to park etc and I can't because of social distancing and lockdown?

But still the good news is there are few things which still are within my reach like spending time with family etc and I have been blessed with time and opportunity to experience the same. My wish has come true! This wish has also come true like many others earlier........

Can I trust that other wishes too would come true like this?

Food for thought :

  • If you look at things for which you can be happy and grateful, you'll find 24hrs a day to be much lesser time to count them.......
  • Dreams, goals, desires are to be worked for. They are to be chased. They propel us to get up and work. But their fulfillment or possessing can't be the condition for our happiness!
  • Happiness is the 'state of being'. It doesn't need anything external to validate it or experience it.
  • Sense of achievement comes from external possessions and getting things and wish being fulfilled.
  • Happiness and sense of achievement are two totally different things.
  • They are not a 'single package'.

Life tip:

Can you describe three people closest to you in a word or a sentence?

I know a person and the best way to describe him would be  "....and he gave a damn!"

Other person I know would be "she lived life to the fullest on her terms!"

One woman would be "She lived for others"

So you get the picture, now do it!

Start living today

Start living today……..

“I have to stop living in the dream world….”

Living in the present moment quote | The Ultimate Personal Growth ...

How many times a day I need to say this to myself? How much time and energy I invest in getting irritated, angry, disappointed, frustrated, cheated and what not because I am not having things that makes my life, dream good?

Amazon.com: Eventually all pieces fall into place. Until then ... I am always running away from fixing things of the present.

I am not living with or utilizing things that I already have in life.  If I don’t live NOW with things and people I already have in life, how can I live with people/things I will get in future?

I am taking people/things that are there with me now for granted.

And hence their ‘value’ is not appreciated, validated and I am not grateful for them.

Quotes About Living Life In The Moment. QuotesGramI am always chasing things/people that I ‘still’ need to fill my life with!

I consider myself ‘empty’ now and strongly believe it would be so without my present list of things/people that I want!

It had been so as a kid/ as a teenager/ adult/ 10 years ago and now! I’ve always wanted to have things/people that I’ve been chasing.

And when and if I got them (wish/desire being fulfilled) I did not want them as
·        I said/felt I got much later in life
·        I’ve outgrown that phase/toy in life
·      Things/people didn’t behave the way I desired. Example: Job had colleagues/ commuting/ profile/ boss/ less salary problems and what not. I always suffered the job that I so desired!

Food for thought :

Good to work for achieving in life.

Better it is that we have desires to amass wealth and all that it buys.

But is all our work and energy for only buying and amassing? What do we plan to do with all that we purchased and have if not to use them or enjoy them? Are we planning to use them or postponing using them?

Do we take time to enjoy the little joys of life?

Are we living life, experiencing it or only taking it as 'to do list' that needs to be ticked at all costs?

Some work:

If you had to describe yourself in a word or a sentence what would it be? (It can be in any language that you are comfortable in...)

Be careful about losing weight. Don't lose too much in short time too....it can be unhealthy.....check it and be safe.....

mothers-to be and new moms don't take this challenge........just do exercise - the safe ones and get healthy......

Maya's mind game!

Maya - Mind's game

Rope – Snake game!

In the jungles of Andhkaaranya lived a monkey by name ‘sahasiram’. One day he felt he had grown big enough to roam about in the jungles of Andhkaaranya all alone. He set to seek permission from his mother. She gave him permission and along with that her advice “Son, learn to be aware and alert in the jungles of Andhkaaranya. It is very dense and many dangerous animals and our enemies inhabit this jungle. You should especially be wary of the big python ‘kal sarp’ which can swallow you at one go. Never meddle with him.”

Monkey Sahasiram joyfully ventured into the jungle all alone. All through the day he was enjoying every act, jump and having his fill of his favourite fruits too! Night came. His intense activity throughout the day tired him and he went to sleep on a tree top. Somewhere in the middle of night an odd sound woke him up. It was pitch dark. He was frightened. Suddenly he remembered he wasn’t with his group. He also remembered his mother’s advice. Fear took over him. Very carefully he stretched his hands to hold a branch. His hand touched a rope which was tied there by a hunter to catch a prey. The rope was hanging from the tree branch to the ground. It was dark. Moreover he was frightened. Our Sahasiram mistook rope to be the Big python ‘kal sarp’. Out of sheer fright he slipped and fell to the ground. He incidentally fell on the rope which was lying there on the ground. He was sure it was the kal sarp. He froze out of fear. He knew he would be gulped down the throat of the snake any moment now. He couldn’t move a bit. He started to sweat. But, move he couldn’t. In the morn he was found dead – just out of fear.

Fear forced him to mistake a rope for a snake. This fear froze him to death. Fear is the biggest ‘kal sarp’ of our life. It kills us even in the absence of its presence. Monkey is the mind that believes ‘what is not’ as ‘is’. This is called the ‘Rope-snake Reality Shift’. Our fears can kill us even when they don’t exist. This is the biggest Illusion of the Mind.

Unfortunately, all through our life, we go through with this misjudged conception of the reality. We presume ‘what is not’ as ‘is’ and ‘what is’ as ‘is not’. Confused? It’s something as:

a. I think someone is jealous of me when in fact they are not
b. I think I / my people will lose their health/ wealth/ success etc someday
c. People are always thinking bad of me
d. If I have something then it’s not worth having. Something that I lack only is worth working for and getting
e. I am afraid things will go wrong…. So on and so forth……

Fear is the mother of all sins. And it stems from Ignorance – ignorance of the true self. Fear is based on the Unknown many times and the mind that imagines all and sundry without any logical explanation for the same.

Didn’t our dear old Gabbar say “Jo darr gaya woh mar gaya”. Vedas shout from the roof top stating that the biggest of all sins is ‘fear’. Beware of it. From it stems all our other sins. A fearful mind cannot think straight. And a mind which is full of confusion and fear can never take any decision which is right. It cannot also think right. It would presume and think that presumption to be the truth. And this presumption is the basis of many of our pains and sufferings. We lose the greatest gift of thinking straight and living in the moment when we have a fearful mind.

To develop clarity of thought is the biggest asset we can invest in. And to do so we need techniques that remove confusion and fear from it. Sadhan is the only way to do that. I am sure you all know by now what they are.

a. Meditation
b. Developing mindfulness – develop sakshi bhavana
c. Living in the moment
d. Rebirth with confusion and fear
e. Surrender with the belief ‘if HE brought you to it, HE will also see you through it!’

Walk into the light of knowledge away from the deep dark jungles of ignorance………

Wishing you all the will power to do the needful is

Reflections – on living the moment!

Reflections – on living the moment!

So what is the moral of the story here?

·      No point regretting on the other opportunities

·       We can’t live all the endless lives and decisions at the same point of time and in same life time. Knowing this, our God (Vedic philosophy) has given as scores of lives.

·

Peace, joy and abundance is finding joy in living what we already have or chosen over what could be.

·       Concentrate on the beauty of the present (the one present too!) Just this application in life will change the quality of your mind. This is enough to lighten you up, give you joy and leave you with energy enough to chase that you desire.

Chase away regret the moment you become aware of this.

Live the decision. Live the life. Life is in NOW! If you lose it in regret, then yours would roll out and you’ll be left with only regrets at the end of the day.

So, to commemorate or seal our understanding let’s do this exercise for next 3 days. Let’s just watch Sunset or sky for ½ an hour. And yes, we have done it previously too – but still let’s pick up this activity.

And do get back with your experiences – if any….

And yes, you can involve your family and friends too in this activity – though they may not be Reiki channels – just remember not to be talking while doing this activity…..

Being Aware!

Being Aware!

Nothing is more fulfilling than being "aware" at the moment!

It may last only few seconds - and yet, it leaves behind lasting impression and benefits...

It relieves you of all the stress and strain for that moment and energizes you enough to face the ups and downs of life...

It doesn't solve any problem in and of your life - but yes, it does make you available and strong enough to deal with the problems of life...

It clears your mind - and that is enough for clarity of thought to pop up with solutions to your issues.

Sometimes, it shows up as change in your perception.

Sometimes, it clears the path ahead.

Sometimes, it pushes your ego and lets the Divine take charge.

Sometimes, it shows the action to be taken.

Each issue unto itself! Not everyone's problem is same. Not everything is dealt same. And that clarity comes by and by as you meditate over the years...

and that is exactly when the 'miracles' happen too!!!

For all those who are practicing "restful living" as sadhan and being "Aware" for at least 1-2 mts few times a day - are you also aware of the receiving Reiki from me as soon as you practice "Awareness" meditation?

Il dolce far niente!

…contd….

“Everything that you did today is termed as ‘Il Dolce far Niente’ by Italians. It’s in their character and way of life. It means “the sweet joy of doing nothing!”.

“And in our country we call it laziness” I blurted out and everyone burst out laughing. She couldn’t continue as others joined me “And we are experts in doing nothing!”

“Yes and we wear laziness as our identity badge. We are proud of it too!”

“We get away with this attitude saying ‘chaltha hai’ (it happens) and ‘light lo’ (take it easy). Everyone were in splits. Some of us were still giggling when she continued her explanation.

“No.no. Il dolce far niente is not about ‘doing nothing’ as we mean. It is not being lazy or complacent. It is about ‘living the moment’. Italians and Romans did not believe that Time is something that can be spent, wasted or passed. Every moment holds the possibility of Goodness, Sweetness and   Pleasure.  Not because of how much we squeeze into it, but because of the beauty that fills life itself.  Goodness, blessings and pleasure are in every moment, we just need to pause long enough to notice. In fact Romans have taken this apparent non activity to the level of art form. To a Roman to see and be seen, to experience life to the fullest, to love and be loved is the very essence of living. They were experts in that. They knew life is not about running behind something or achievement. They knew that ‘life comprises of moments lived’ – moments as simple as watching sun-set, playing with the kid, feel the grass under your feet or let the food tease your eyes and nose before you eat. That doesn’t mean they were any less of achievers. Infact they were great artists, rulers, scientists, lovers and what not. But that didn’t stop them from ‘living the moment’ as they live through their routine. Infact no act was performed – no is performed as a routine. They savour ‘every moment’ thereby bringing joy and play into their every act.

Great Artists of Italy

Considered One of the most beautiful paintings of all times 'Monalisa' by The genius 'Leonardo da vinci'

Shastha said “but Guruji, give us examples as to its’ application. You just now said they apply while eating. How? This seems more Greek and Latin than Italian” everyone laughed. I liked the way she used the words Greek, Latin and Italian in that phrase. Good word play!

“Fine! How do most of us eat our food?” asked our Guruji.

“We gulp it as we walk, drive, while watching TV, checking whatsapp and “got it” she cut our phrase. “See you are doing something else while eating. You are not with the food. Why I see people checking their mails etc over phone even in the restaurants. Even there, they don’t savour their food. No doubt we have dumped our system with food but haven’t ‘enjoyed eating’”.

“oh” so many voices gave it out that it was obvious they got the point.

“When you eat, first eat with your eyes. Look at the food. Admire its’ colour, texture etc about it and then smell it. let its smell intoxicate your senses. This way saliva has already started forming and this aids digestion and good digestion means ‘less ill-health’. Got it?

Now eat it don’t gulp it. Let your tongue enjoy the taste melting into t it. Then chew consciously and by now you are already happy to eat (just practice this and observe the look on your face at this point). Enjoy your food. See it’s a routine – a must in everyone’s life and how it’s turned into an enjoyable experience. Don’t wait to go to some ‘fancy live the moment class’ in fancy 5-star hotels paying thousands of rupees to appreciate doing this. Do it daily. Increase your joyful moments.
