Shayari - When pain becomes relief!

Shayari - When pain becomes relief!

Ishrat-e-katra hai ki dariya mein fanaa ho jaana

Dard ka had se guzarna hai dawa ho jaana

इशरत - ए - कतरा है की दरिया में फ़ना हो जाना

दर्द का हद से गुज़ारना है दवा हो जाना।

Ultimate bliss/ecstasy of the drop of water is to become one with the Ocean

when pain goes beyond measure, it becomes its own medicine!

The purpose of the drop of water is ultimately to lose its identity by merging into the Ocean and becoming one with the Ocean. Here, understand it philosophically - a drop of water represents the human soul. The purpose of the human soul is to become one with the Divine. In this merging is the Ultimate Bliss of the human soul.

When the lover feels the pain of separation, he finds that pain unbearable. But, when the same pain crosses all limits then in that state of unbearable pain, the lover finds his ultimate "state of existence" where he becomes one with his lover's image/persona. He loses his identity and merges into his lover's identity. That losing of ego/identity becomes medicine which came from his very pain that he found unbearable at the start!!!

ishrat - bliss /ecstasy

katra - drop (here it means drop of water)

fanaa - leen ho jana, to merge into the other, to lose ones identity

dariya - Ocean

ZEN STORIES (with a lesson): “It will pass” – bodyandsoulnourishmentblog

Today ½ an hour seemed like an hour. Surprising how time expands when we are suffering and runs fast when we are happy? Does everyone feel this way or just me?

Zen Quotes | Zen Sayings | Zen Picture Quotes
She maintained her time like a clock. Exactly ½ hr later, she took her seat. She had just sat. She hadn’t settled yet. But our restlessness found its expression through Vaishnav’s question “So you are saying Reiki Master’s words are more powerful than us students?”

She laughed as if at the joke of a kid. She settled herself. Drank from her glass and then started her answer “when did I say Reiki master?”

430 Zen Quotes That Will Make You Feel Peaceful
“You said words of Masters have more energy in them” blurted Vaishnav confused.

“Oh, that! I was telling anecdote from Buddha’s life. And so, I referred to him and other Guru’s as Masters. I never meant Reiki Masters – ever!” she replied.

The mind is like water. When it's turbulent, it's difficult to see. When it's calm, everything becomes c… | Great inspirational quotes, Life quotes, Buddhist quotes
Vaishnav’s anger came down considerably. And so did our restlessness. Surprising, how we listen! Even more surprising is how we process what we listen. Why did we get angry even to assume that a Reiki Master’s words carried more weightage than ours? Some of us applied it to our Guru. Even then, they had expressed anger. Why?

430 Zen Quotes That Will Make You Feel Peaceful
But our Guru continued her explanation oblivious to our fight within “Before understanding difference between Masters and our words let us see one example. Imagine a bulb. Now it is covered by a vase which is broken at various places. Now see/imagine the light that comes out of that bulb. Look at the amount of space lighted up because of all those cracks in that vase. What do you see?” she asked.

“A room brightened up and looking beautiful!” we replied.

# on receiving and giving, qualities of the giver,

Read the above link given to understand :

Buddha quotes - Home | Facebook
  • the qualities required in the student to receive from the Guru
  • Qualities required in any person to receive from the Universe
  • When the student is ready, Master comes in his life - this means student is not waiting for someone to come and fulfill all his demands. It means he is pure in heart, worked on ego, developed patience and humility, surrenders his ego and expects nothing but to serve his Master. The quantity of qualities developed in the student is the deciding factor for how much he receives.
  • When the student's state of mind is right and calm and he is pure in heart, then Guru can teach through any and every form in the Universe.
  • Guru gives/God gives/Reiki gives and is giving all through - but the big question is 'Are we ready and capable enough to receive?"
Pointers to understand this post better :

  • "She maintained her time like a clock". - The quality of being disciplined is pre-requisite to being a great person. Every person who is of good character and successful respects time and doesn't take others for granted. Even when the person grows in stature and he is waited upon by others, he still respects others time too in his every dealing! Every one thinks, dreams, wishes to be respected, successful, appreciated and be called 'great'. Greatness is achieved by such simple attitudes as respecting time and being disciplined.
  • "She had just sat. She hadn’t settled yet. But our restlessness found its expression through..." - Here the character flaw of the students is evident. One who is selfish is never bothered about others comfort, time or any other thing. They are bothered only about their needs to be fulfilled. They can't wait. Their restlessness is the reflection of their selfishness. Outgrow this nature. Be sensitive to others need too. Develop patience to wait. No one owes you their time and service to you. Seek but with respect and patience. Give them space. Don't be 'ME centric' in all your dealings with people. You will drive people away from you this way! Overcome this selfishness!
  • "Vaishnav’s anger came down considerably. And so did our restlessness" - this shows how our presumptions take us down the lane of hell........why wait to go to hell when we can live it in many shades with our thought process and assumptions? And we say, we are afraid of death and going to hell and living out our punishments? Are we? Then why are we creating hell for ourselves every single day of our life? This anger is burning hell that we carry with us every single minute of our life........drop it....no body can drop it for you. Be wise, be sensible, be brave enough to drop it. No one punishes us the way we punish ourselves and we then assume others to be creating problems for us. No doubt, our problems and suffering never end with this assumption?!?! Wake up! Drop this living hell! Create heaven for self! You own it! You can live it! You deserve it! And yes, even that is beautiful - more beautiful than your hell.....
  • You don't become calm when you become a Master. You become Master when you become calm.

On Dassera

...contd....

The last three days are the days we do upasana of “Mother Saraswathi”. She blesses us with ‘Gnana Shakthi’. She is the Mother of learning and hence with Her grace we develop and then transcend ‘Sattvaguna’.

On the tenth day, having won over all of tamo, rajo and sattva guna, we celebrate it as ‘vijaya dashami’. It means it is the day we commemorate the victory of Goddess over demon Mahisha. (I am assuming you know the story of Mahishasura Mardini).

Now, what does it mean?

Rakshasa is not someone out there who died. It is the ‘demon within’ us who dies only after killing of ‘ten aspects’ – hence ten days of fighting. The ‘ten’ that needs to be killed are ‘five gnanendriya’ and ‘five karmendriya’. They are five organs of senses and five organs of action. Now, this is the rakshasha whose blood when it falls on ground, out of every drop of blood he springs back to life. It means if I kill or try to kill one desire to eat sweet, ten cravings for sweets would crop up. These senses and their effect are so powerful that they spring to life where they are killed. Only when ‘The Mother’ takes it and doesn’t let it drop on ground, it does not come back to life. And hence we ‘should’ have intent to drop our ‘weaknesses’. But before that we need to recognise their presence and accept that we have them. Then we need to understand that we are suffering because of our five demons – lust, anger, arrogance, attachment, envy and greed. The next step would be to surrender to Mother and seek Her grace to absolve us of all these nature.

I hear many telling ‘I surrendered Maam, but nothing is happening’.

Surrendrance doesn’t mean ‘stating it verbally’ and then ‘expecting Her to do all the work’. No. It means, the ‘intent’ should be to surrender and then we should do our part of healing and sadhan.

Word of caution:- Many students come to me stating “Guruji, our Master told us t hat we met with accident because of bad times or energies during Navarathri. Why should ‘WE’ be affected by these energies?”

Let me make it clear ‘once and for all’. Any statement, rule declared in my name by any Master should ‘NOT be BELIEVED’ and PUT INTO DUSTBIN’. Yes, any Master (except ONLY Murali Sir) who quotes me – ‘know quotes me wrong’. They use my ‘right rule’ in ‘wrong places’ and the result is ‘wrong picture of understanding’.

The best Divine tool available to human kind to drop the “acquired self” i.e., ego and to express the “Divinity that is” is “Reiki”.

As we have come to understand that the various experiences in our life is nothing but the result of our ‘karma’ – we need to heal our ‘karma’ in order to re-write our destiny. The basis of ‘karma’ is ‘attitude’ and ‘lack of gratitude’ apart from ego. These can be healed or dropped with the various techniques taught in the Reiki sessions. Always remember to use more than one technique of healing on the daily basis. For example : Anger can be healed with hands on and re-birth meditation with ‘anger’. This would give faster and long lasting benefit than just one of the technique used.

Hands-on helps to heal the issue from the root cause and change the operating system of every individual. As and when we experience a situation we normally tend to react in a certain fashion. As every such incident, we more or less react the same way. After few times of conscious reaction, it becomes our operating system in that particular situation. That is to say, the body and the takes over the calculation part and reacts automatically. What started our emotions as a conscious act and somewhere down the line it has become the automatic system of operation.

For example I am in a hurry and I have just mopped the floor. Person A drops something like chocolate. I shout at him for being negligent because I have to mop it once more. And I am in a hurry and don’t have time to. I’ll be late to my appointment, so am angry. Next time, I am wearing a new and an expensive dress on a special occasion and a person in the party trips, his plate flies and lands right on my ‘special dress’. He’s spoiled my expensive dress and the day – I shout at him. Imagine couple of more of such incidents happening. Then, two friends talking and laughing on the road drop their ice-creams. They are laughing even at that. I GET ANGRY. I SAY I CAN’T STAND PEOPLE WHO THROW AROUND THINGS. IT SHOWS THEIR CARELESSNESS. Mind you, this time it had nothing to do with me. Yet, I am getting angry. Because ‘drop’ and ‘anger’ have become ‘cause’ and ‘effect’ to my ‘operating system’ called ego. This is exactly how we become automated beings of our system. Emotions start ruling us and we seem helpless when they just express through us.

To change this operating system, we need higher and Divine energies that can replace our present operating system with the newer one. This is where Reiki comes in. Practice of Reiki on the daily basis brings about a change in our basic nature and thereby we become pro-active persons instead of reactive beings.

Make a list of all the reiki techniques and use them in combination to see better and faster results over the period of time. As you make your list, let me go to write next post on how meditation helps in letting go of our ‘vikaras’ and helps us in expressing our higher self……..

Sadhan for the Invocation of Rama into our lives, Nation and the World!

Sadhan for the Invocation of Rama into our lives, Nation and the World!

Further to https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=ram+lalla, I am very glad that at least one among you - Swathi has been able to complete the entire sadhan as decided and instructed.

Not for just this sadhan but see for yourself in any venture, there are lots of takers at the start.

Many drop out after a few days.

Some more drop out after walking for a few more days.

Just a handful keep walking still!

Then, most drop out and only a couple touch the end line!

So, it happened this time too - even in sadhan - or maybe more so in Sadhan!

But, even if one person comes to the finish line it is a huge cause of celebration for all of us!

Because, every time, someone walks this path (however little it maybe) diligently, it impacts the whole group. That person is carrying the torch for the entire group at that point of time!

As most of you must have noticed, people participating in the blog also change from time to time. Look at the comments to understand this. No person has been continuously following the blog since its inception. The only constant with the blog is 'me'!

Readers come and go. Then, some come back after some time. Then they continue for some more time and then go away.

Why does this happen?

Mostly, people are regular when they are facing a problem. Once the problem is solved, they go away. Then after a few years, they end up facing some problems in life and then they come back and become regulars in the blog |(and also in class).

I am yet to meet a person who continues with sadhan, is regular with sadhan, has the same amount of respect, affection, and gratitude as when he started and is sincere with sadhan with the same intensity!!! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2016/01/how-your-feed-back-helps.html.

People use the words "gratitude", "love", "bhakt/devotee/devotion", "faith" so casually and yet the truth of these words is just this - "https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2022/04/on-faith-and-being-faithful.html".

Don't worry or feel bad. No one is judging you. You are who you are! You are not answerable to anyone - and it applies to me too in your life! but, you need to know yourself - the real way! And for that, one needs to take action. One needs to be courageous to walk this path! One needs to take time to look within and find out the real emotions, real feelings, real thought processes and the real you! And then, therein you will find the way to solve all the causes of your pain and suffering! https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2009/04/know-thyself.html

And the first step towards that path and end is the "regular sadhan".

Swathi, for doing it "this time" and for being the only one - will receive reiki for one week.

For not expecting anything in return and just doing sadhan for sadhan's sake - she receives Reiki for one week - again!

For silently following the instructions - with no questions and no demands - for one fortnight - again!

Each attitude of a person brings abundance or pain depending on the attitude - every single time it is expressed by the person. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2017/05/ask-and-it-shall-be-given-me-my-guru_26.html. Here, it is obvious. In life too, it happens, it's just that we are not aware of what we receive.  We are not generous and honest enough to validate what we receive. We feel entitled and so we count our blessings also as our "right" and grow in bitterness instead of gratitude!

What she received from me is nothing to what she is to receive in exchange for her sadhan. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2023/09/on-receiving-for-healing-and-growing.html. Swathi is to open her eyes and heart to see it and validate it. So, it is for everyone else too!

Jai Shree Ram!

on dropping!

If you want to lead a life of abundance, then ‘drop’ – drop all is dead and stinking in yourself….not because I tell you to, not even because it is said in puranas, not because it is ethically right – because by doing so, you are bringing in more possibility of abundance into your own life – abundance of physical well being, emotional balance and financial well being too!

How this luggage removes possibility of abundance from our lives? - abundance of physical well-being, emotional well-being and financial well being too!

Every single emotion such as anger, greed, frustrations, hatred, jealousy et like stem from the centre that is EMPTY - Centre that is YOU. Emptiness can’t be filled inspite of being dumped with all and sundry. Nature has the golden rule – “It gives back in abundance what you give to Nature. As I am giving emptiness, I get only that in abundance back – maybe wrapped in goodies sometimes but emptiness nevertheless…”.

For example, anger gives out helplessness, feeling of wronged, frustrations and a sense of not being understood. This energy goes out to the world and creates such returns to me only. So, I’ll be put in situation where I would feel helpless, feeling of wronged, frustrated and misunderstood. Now, that the situation is real, I would react again with the same feelings – may be with higher degree and it becomes a vicious circle. It has a snowball effect on the chain of events that follow in my life. First feeling is the seed that is called karma and it branches out as a situation or an event in the near or distant (sometimes long forgotten) future where the fruits are going to be of the same seed – remember. If I planted a seed of anger, my tree would give out fruits of frustrations, anger, helplessness etc. But the funny part is I plant one seed and from it comes thousands of fruits – all bitter and sour and painful to me. And the tree comes out in my life as a situation or an event. When I was not comfortable with one seed of anger, no doubt I suffer more with the thousands of fruits of anger lying all around me in my house and backyard.

The next reason is once I am surrounded by this energy I would attract similar energies only. Since, there is no spelling of abundance in this energy, I don’t experience it in my life. Life is such a plate in which only few things can be accommodated. I have already filled it with anger, frustrations, jealousy etc, then where is the place for good and happening things in my life? So, if I want abundance, then I should be letting go off anger so that I am available for abundance in my life. And letting go means to forgive and move on in life…

Karela ka jhaad bo kar mein aam kit ho intezaar nahi kar sakthi na? after sowing seeds of bitter gourd, I can’t expect it to give out mangoes…

It’s all the game of energies, what you create, you experience. So create with little more responsibility – towards your sweet self only and with awareness…because what you sow, so you reap!

On Healing

On Healing - its need and techniques

Contd..........

Abilities you need to develop are:

1.The entire essence of Vedas can be summed up in two words “See, Listen”

2.Be still and know I am God!
   Just Be!

3.Just Drop!

4.Faith and patience!

5.Discipline.

Attitudes that you need to drop completely and develop without fail are:

1.Stop judging

2.Stop justifying

3.Fear is the greatest and the mother of all sins

4.Heights of stupidity – not having life-style, habits and food tastes that are good for healthy body.

5.only thing worth developing right from school – CONCENTRATION. Your level of concentration decides your ease of work and levels of success in any field you choose!

6.practice Silence!
Both physical and mental...

7.Cheerfulness

(I’ve written multiple posts to just stress the importance of all the above abilities and attitudes and way to work on them. As I’ve explained most of these topics umpteen times, I did not venture to explain much about them and hence presume them to be clear. If not, please seek clarification)

Sorry dear, you wanted ‘one word answer’ and I give you essay answer. But at lower stages of spiritual journey when we are blown at will by our mind, we need as many remainders and techniques to be on the track. But be relaxed it is not so throughout the journey. It is similar to a pyramid. It keeps reducing as agitation of mind reduces and ultimately it narrows down to ‘Meditation’ or ‘Look within’. But at lower levels what with so much pain, anger and confusion only meditation can not give results what all these put together give! (But then even in meditation, the techniques are many depending upon the need of the hour and the purpose for which it is done. May be sometime in future I may take class to teach various methods of meditation - different levels. And no it is not for people who are interested in gaining something of this world. That class would be ONLY useful to those who are interested in losing what they have, not in gaining anything more. And since that type of people would be bit rare to come across, so..........)

When external forces don’t or hardly have any effect on our psyche then ONLY ‘Meditate’ will do. But then even that is only a technique not the end by itself. Ultimately, soul has to outgrow even this stage, drops even this technique when he ‘Realizes Self’ and becomes ‘One with All That Is’. Then as he becomes one with all, what is that he has to heal, what is to know and what is to achieve?

Then this journey ends........and the next level journey starts......

Concluded............
