Milestones 2025

Milestones 2025

First month over, and we are only “3” posts so far!

Very bad start indeed!

Let’s see how we far we go this year??!!

So how many posts do you think we can score this year at this rate?

Keep reading, keep participating if you want me to write.

For those who felt bad when I wasn’t writing, let me tell you, the feeling is mutual – “I too feel the same when you keep silent and don’t participate or take part on the daily basis”.

Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Contd....

Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Pointers to understand the post:

“Even without turning around Pundarika pushed a brick and replied “Welcome Lord! Please stand on that brick lest your feet get dirty with mud (as it was monsoon season).”” – One who is engrossed in SERVICE doesn’t try to PLEASE OTHERS OR FLATTER OTHERS to get his work done. He doesn’t manipulate. The purity in service itself becomes the key to your success. If success doesn’t come in spite of hard work, look within. Meditate. Find out where you are lacking in “serving right”. Don’t think that JUST DOING service qualifies “receiving blessings or grace”. The intent should be pure.

Service is done just for the sake of service.

If it is done seeking something, it stops being service.

“Pundarika even without turning still replied, “So the parental service has such power that you had to come even though uncalled?”” – This is enough to understand the importance of doing any job with nishta, Shraddha and bhakthi. The job done because you have no other choice gives returns accordingly. The job half-done also reaps such benefits. The work which lacks love doesn’t give happiness to the doer and the receiver.

Look at the way the job at hand is done.

Find ways to better it.

Improve the quality of work done – any work worth doing is worth doing well!

Understand how work properly done releases us from our karma and the work not done properly binds us to our karma!

Meditate on this!

Work on this!

Use it for your growth, success, redemption and happiness.

How to apply that understanding in our lives?

Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Contd....

Me, My guru – On duties, responsibilities and results

Pointers to understand the post:

“I asked as she was sipping her tea. This was break-time. And I used it to pose my question to her.” – Read these sentences couple of times more.

Such a common attitude that it gets overlooked most of the time.

Most of us wouldn’t even notice that if it is our quality. But, if it is from the other, then, yes, we get irritated.

Why? We get irritated because we can see the other person wanting to squeeze maximum from us in the limited time and in exchange for what “little” he pays us! Classic example is “My boss gives me so much of work”

“My Co pays less but expects me to work even extra hours”

“My pay hike is just 20% when I deserve (read it as desire though) 40%”

All this say that we feel we are being exploited.

But, when it comes to receiving from others, we get angry if the other person maintains “time” or such rules.

By one time payment as fees (for the classes that you ATTEND) you think you have right to take counselling from me all your life. And that too at your convenience. Mails are sent at God forsaken times demanding solutions and INSTANT healing to your issue.

This DEMANDING NATURE is the cause of friction between how you treat others and how expect to be treated. And that difference in giving and receiving is the cause of generating “Karma” in your life.

No God is punishing you.

Our attitude DOES!

““In modern times that is this Kaliyuga in the banks of….” – This story is of this “yuga aka modern times”. This is to show that this “Quality of serving” parents (in this story but applies to any other relationship also) is not outdated. It is the pre-requisite for everyone to overcome one’s ignorance, problems and gain access to abundance and success in life.

Milestone reached – The penultimate one 304 posts!

Milestone reached – The penultimate one 304 posts!

We have reached the penultimate milestone of 304 posts for the year 2021.

The only milestone to be reached that is left out yet is of the year 2020 – 329 posts!

If we can reach that target, we would have reached the highest till date (since 2009 when the blog was started).

Excited?

Worried?

Tensed?

Doubtful?

Hopeful?

What are your emotions regarding this last milestone?

Now, you may not feel much for this blog – for it is not personal for you.

But, learn from this exercise.

Each one of you do surely have your own milestones which you are year marked to reach – the milestones that you have already set for yourself.

These milestones could have been the ones that you have already reached once before.

Maybe, they are the ones that others (in your life) have reached.

Or, simply you have set a target for yourself.

Whatever, the way, the journey is the same for everyone and for every kind of milestone to be reached.

We get excited at the start, apprehensive in the middle and relieved when we vreach the finish line!

Look and learn how the blog milestones were reached.

Apply the same for your milestones.

Go the same way.

Reach your targets – effortlessly.

There is no shortcut to perseverance and patience.

The other names for success are just these two attitudes.

Inculcate them. Apply them.

Be it in physical well being, emotional well being, financial success and spiritual journey. Everywhere it is the same.

Enjoy!

Milestones 700000 hits already!

Milestones 700000 hits already!

Wow! We have already crossed 700000 hits this year!

What a year!! We crossed 600000 just a few months back and we have crossed 700000 hits already!

This really seems like “Ask for anything and it will happen year”!

So, what are your “Wow miracles of this year – so far?”

Share and increase your joy multiply….

And to top it all – the weather is so beautiful – simply romantic (here in Hyderabad, India)

Hoping that everyone who is reading this blog enjoys equally good weather at their place of residence!

Let’s see what other milestones we cross this year!

Have you got your list of milestones that you wish to cross or experience this year?

Share and see the miracle happen!

Isn't there a beautiful understanding through this milestone reached?

The work done is the same all these years. When we just keep doing our work honestly, to the best of our abilities, in the best state of mind, and above all without expecting anything from it - the results start to show on their own - after said period - in the most miraculous and exponential way - here it being the one lakh number of hits happening in a very short span of time.....

Does it matter to blog ? - May be not!

But, when we apply that to every other aspect of life - yes, this understanding and belief does give us great impetus to put forth our best foot forward every day of our life not expecting any results - and then bam! One miracle after starts happening just like that when we least expect that! Read the link on fern and bamboo to understand better https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=bamboo

On sayings and quotes! On taking pride of your journey!

Contd....

On sayings and quotes! On taking pride in your journey!

That would be taking a ‘wrong lesson’ from the ‘right experience’ in life!

Why is it so?

When we are proud, it means we are considering ourselves above others (in this context especially). Think about it in the following scenarios:

I suffered so much of insults and abuses you know

I failed 10 times

Both my marriages failed

I lost in every business that I took up.

I underwent ‘XYZ’ operation or medical procedure.

Would it sound right if we are proud of ourselves or our life situations where we think we are better off than others in such situations?

Are we competing with others in such areas too?

Is our ego so vain that we want to be above others when it comes to facing failures, problems or pain in life?

So don’t be proud in such scenarios. Listen to yourself when you are talking about your pain to others.

See the way you are narrating your story to others.

See the words you are using in expressing or painting your past to others.

Know the difference between taking pride and being proud of your journey!

Look within yourself!

Overcome this weakness.

On sayings and quotes! On taking pride of your journey!

On sayings and quotes! On taking pride in your journey!

“Take pride in how far you’ve come and

Have faith in how far you’ll go!”

Take pride in how far you’ve come – Pride is way different from being proud or arrogant.

Literally, though both words are used interchangeably, they imply different connotations when used together.

Pride means having a sense of deep pleasure or satisfaction in one’s achievements or possessing qualities that reflect something positive about someone – like intelligence, selflessness, hard work, and so.

Here it means you have every right to feel good about your achievements, success and journey.

Pride is used to denote the joy of celebrating one’s achievements. When we overcome lots of hardships in life we have the right to celebrate that strength and resilience in us.

When we face failures and are still going strong, we have the right to take pride in that.

The pain and suffering that we must have endured in our life journey is known only to us. Some we’ve overcome. Some we’ve survived. Others we’ve moved on. We’ve faced a few and grown as a person too! All this is reflected in our life journey.

We can celebrate such a journey. We can take pride in that journey.

But, there is a flip side to this. Many end up being ‘proud’ of their failures, pain and suffering and obstacles that they face in life!??

Me, My Guru – Narada and Bhaktha – disappointed and in bliss!

Me, My Guru – Narada and Bhaktha – disappointed and in bliss!

Sage Narada was touched with his love for the Lord. He was touched by his humility, bhakthi, surrenderence, egolessness, purity and patience. It was rare to come by such a bhaktha. As the Sage was thinking so, flowers from the heavens fell on the banyan tree on Narada and on that dancing bhaktha. At that very moment a “Divine Light” fell on the ascetic and he got his moksha then and there!

Sage Narada was highly pleased. So were the Divine Beings who had showered flowers on the ascetic” our Guru concluded her story.

She didn’t talk further.

She didn’t need to.

Both the students got up, fell at her feet and left saying “Thank you Guruji, we received our answer. We know where we are lacking. Bless us to overcome our weaknesses”.

Some days are simple yet magical like today as I found out “It’s not about the goal. It’s all about the journey. Happiness is not in getting a desire fulfilled. It is in the chase”.

Short, crisp, complete and clear is the link. It covers all that needs to be covered. Read it 10 times, 20 times, 100 times and yet the meaning will evade you - keep healing and coming back to this simple post - again and again.....it's always the simple ones that are most difficult to understand......

Question time:

What is the major difference between the two bhakthas?

Failure or success - all depends on the person - does it fit here and if yes, how?

What is the most important ingredient to be happy?
