On understanding Karma in real-life situations Series

           Contd.....

On understanding Karma in real-life situations Series

e.      No wrong committed by us is ever forgotten by the Universe. It comes back in our life – maybe after 100 lifetimes – but it does.

in the case of DHRITARASHTRA – https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2018/08/bhagavatam-krishna-answers-king.html

f.     Every act hides within it both positive and negative results. There is no act that has only good impact. So, even when good is done for others, the little harm done through the same returns to us and that is also to be borne by us. KUNTI CURSES KRISHNA https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2024/09/me-my-guru-bhagavatam-on-lost-city-of_02073380832.html

g.      When the act is done with the right intent and as per DHARM, then even the curse is used by the Divine to do some greater good. This same act or karma makes the person rise above the normal.

Our choices decide our fall or rise!

The right choice takes us towards our “Divine hood”.

h.     Nobody is above the “Law of Karma”

i.      With purity, simplicity and innocence, the impact of karma is reduced by the sadhak.

J.  The karma that binds is the “very thing” that frees us from all our karmas too!

k.    Being afraid of getting to face the consequences of our karma if we choose to “not act” – then even that comes under “karma”. We have to bear “that” consequence too! So, either way, we need to bear the consequences. Then why not learn to do karma in such a way that it becomes a way to redeem us of our ‘past karmas’?

l.     See carefully how a certain karma comes back in others’ lives. (But always remember Karma doesn’t come back the same way for everyone). We’ll see that a person’s wrong catches up with him – sooner than later. https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2020/08/few-faqs-with-guru_20.html

So, we need not carry any grudge or wish that they be punished. Become free from seeking revenge. Walk towards peace. You deserve it if you are the one wronged!

Next, most important if some karma has come back in others’ lives, it would in ours too – for sure! So, when things don’t go or work our way – bear it with poise. Know it to be some past getting healed or catching up now. Use reiki techniques to reduce or mitigate the pain that comes to us bearing past karma.

Since every deed is limited in “portion size” bad times don’t last forever.

Me, My guru – working of Karma noted in a real life situation!

Contd....

Me, My guru – working of Karma noted in a real life situation!

Points to understand the post:

"We thought she would quote Rama, Krishna and we would counter that.

We had our argument against forgiveness and yet she didn’t go there. We were prepared to attack those and such explanations but here she was talking something completely different from what we expected." See here – the students are already having reasons to forgive the wrongdoer. They also had been explained how karma works based on Itihaasa (History of Vedic culture). And they had come prepared to counter all that if told. It means students don’t ask questions to which they don’t have answers – many times. They know the answers. They want validation for their venting and emotions. They come to sell their line of thinking to the Guru. No doubt, they go back angry when Guru doesn’t buy their ‘reasons’.

Ask yourself “Why do I ask questions? What is it that I am seeking?” be honest in your effort in seeking answers. Don’t fool yourself.

Your honesty will open the doors of heaven for you!

Your honesty will make you courageous.

Your honesty will make you fearless.

Your honesty will release you from your bondage and karma!

Let’s understand this with some exercise.

I’ll give one real-life example at a time.

I want you people to see how this example applies to your life situations.

In what way does this example help you to understand how the lives of those around you in impacted by this “law of karma”. Not every time we’ll be able to see it happen in our life. It is too personal for us to note that. But, in the joy of finding pain and seeking revenge for others, we notice these things happening in others' lives.

Share your stories – real life ones to validate the ‘law of karma’. How you have seen this law operate in and around your life.

When the number of stories is good enough to run home this point, I’ll share one more example – a real-life one – and then the exercise will continue. This way let’s learn it as we read about these cases.

If I don't receive feedback - enough of it from your end, then this topic will not be discussed further......

On valuing right and its consequences!

Contd.....

On valuing right and its consequences!

He is the person who experiences abundance in every aspect of life.

Only a Nation that treats these both will grow in the right direction. Only a Nation that treats a teacher/guru and a person who does menial job right will prosper.

The western world has opened its eyes and pays well the people who do menial job. The result is material abundance there. They are also respected well there. That’s why people who don’t lift even their cups do all sorts of jobs in US and still feel proud of their earnings! And here, well, we all know this side of the story!

But, the same West doesn’t have the culture of respecting and recognising the teacher/guru. No doubt, it reflects in the falling social standards. Family and community culture is falling apart. People are going to therapists at the drop of the hat. People are losing their ethics and values. Look at random shootings and such acts there. It speaks about low strength of human character. No country that is not guided by “value system” can even give out men and women of rich character. The result is people becoming weak in character and soul strength. And this job is done by Gurus in the Eastern World. But, this holds good only till this post of guru holds the onslaught of material punch. To retain them, it is the duty of the society.

People want “places where they can go and meditate at any time. They want their place of worship and a place where they can get peace. They want to find their answers in a place. But to maintain that place, people hardly come forward to pitch in. They want everything to be served to them on a platter. Let the other (Guru here) do all the slogging. And when that Guru/Master seeks remuneration, he becomes money-minded. Then questions and logic like “But the people in spiritual line are supposed to be detached, no maam? Why are they seeking money?”

Me, My Guru – on asking the right question

Contd.....

Me, My Guru – on asking the right question

How many times must we have asked a wrong question and got wrong answer? And how many times we would have lived with that wrong answer?

Yes, we did get no for an answer, but we would have not only gotten yes for an answer but also gotten over our problem in the first place if, if only we knew how to ask?

This set me thinking on so many levels.

I applied it at the physical level and so many of my problems were addressed right away.

I applied it in my relationships and I found cause of my bitterness and lack of happiness and contentment in my relationships.

I applied it in me asking Universe/Reiki/guru questions and knew why I got the answer that I got now….

Now I knew why I lacked abundance in so many fields of my life and the reason and way to address that too……

I need to work on this area – I need to work way too much in this area….

Me, My Guru – on asking the right question

Me, My Guru – on asking the right question

One of the students wanted to attend a certain class. He came down and asked, “Guruji, are you conducting my class this Sunday?”

She replied with a smile “No”.

He bowed and left.

I was puzzled. I knew the class that he wanted. And I also knew that that particular class was this Saturday. And yet our Guru didn’t say anything about that class.

Not able to contain myself I asked our Guru “But Guruji, his class is on Saturday. Then why didn’t you tell him that”

Our Guru smiled and answered “Because he didn’t ask ‘when is my class?’ He asked me if he had a class this Sunday and I gave him reply for that question.”

I was stunned. It was so right and so simple!

Pointers from the post:

" “Guruji, are you conducting my class this Sunday?”

She replied with a smile “No”." - Look at the question and answer again. If and only if that student had asked "Guruji when can I have my class? or Can you conduct class for me this week or something like that" then he would have had his class that week.

He not only postponed his class, he delayed his learning by God knows how many more days/weeks/years to come?

Never postpone learning.

There will be a mindset that would blame Guru here. Good for them. But remove Guru represents "One who is everywhere too" by one of the qualities that Guru has. Then here it means you are going to ask in similar fashion everywhere. Maybe, the answers you got is because of how you asked the question. Change the way you ask question and you will see the difference in the way it is answered.

Instead of blaming someone for change, try to see where the problem is and correct it and see the solution right in front of you. Sometimes, the problem vanishes on its own too....

Sadhan on sunsets

Contd....

Sadhan on sunsets

If you are doing Reiki for your intention – trust that it’ll come true.

“But maam, when?” – No one had answers for this question.

“But maam, he got his wish fulfilled, when will my wish be granted?” – Basically stupid question! Your wish will be fulfilled at ‘your time’ – not when you demand it to be fulfilled!

There are two types of people who do intention Reiki.

First type are those who get angry right from first week saying ‘but I am doing Reiki since a week, month..etc..’ They become more and more irritated, tensed, angry and depressed. They are becoming more selfish, adamant and seeking pity from others.

The second are the ones who remember every intention that was fulfilled in the past and keep being grateful for that. This in turn increases their faith. They address their fears and doubts with various healing techniques. They keep saying “If Reiki has given me this tough situation, there is something I need to learn from it”. They keep looking for flaws in their attitudes and keep correcting them. They keep reminding themselves “Even this shall pass!” As they are in pain, suffering and depressed, they keep with the techniques. Sometimes, not even with faith but as a routine. And that in turn brings them out of this state of mind sooner than later.

Me, My Guru – on disturbed mind

Me, My Guru – on disturbed mind

After an hour or so, Buddha asked him again to go and fetch some water for him. This time, being noon, no one was at the lake. It was calm. The disciple could get water easily. He gave it to Buddha to drink. Buddha thanked him and drank that water.

Then he asked the disciple “how come you could bring water so soon this time?”

The disciple asked “There were none at the lake. It was undisturbed. Water was so clear and I could get it immediately. Previously, because of activity of everyone the water turned muddy and was unfit to drink. With no one the mud settled and left water clean and fit to drink”.

Buddha smiled nodding his head and said “So it is with mind. Just leave it unattended. Don’t give attention to it. The chatter will settle down and go away eventually. Just wait. Don’t participate in its chatter”.

The disciple bowed down. He received the answer that he sought”.

Our Guru received a call and she left us.

wow moment! Sunny days and rainy days!

wow moment! On sunny days and rainy days

It was sunny after long time......it was wonderful feeling...wow moment!

No matter how cloudy our days are, No matter how rainy days are - the Sun always comes at the end of the day! Wait for the sunny days. They are to come after rainy days.

We can't demand Sunny days. So it is with 'our demands from life'. If things go as per our taste we call them sunny days. If things go against our taste we call them sad days. Both are part of life. Unless we embrace both we'll never know what it is to be happy. A childish personality demands what it wants without a thought of its possibility. If you feel you are grown up, if your desires are that of grown up, if you want others to treat you as a grown up, then your understanding too should be of a grown up - isn't it?

Grow up - face life. Accept responsibilities as much as your rights. Share to better a relationship. Learn from rainy days. Learn from sunny days!
Just as I was enjoying sunny day, it became cloudy again and it rained cats and dogs. That's life! No season stays for ever. Enjoy whatever lasts for what it is! Accept people and situations for what they are! You are not the only one in rain. The whole world is facing it.

Before complaining, think about people in Afghanistan! Would you exchange your place with them?

Count your blessings. Bring sunshine into your life. Only you have that capacity to do it for yourself. Sooner you wake up to this fact, sooner will your life and state of mind change.....

(PS : Read the previous post once again...few corrections and additions have been made for all those seeking answers to their questions....i am already answering your queries and doubts....your queries should be answered...don't put up a demand and condition that it should be done in a specific way only....may be you'll lose this too by such conditioning....)

Same old, same old – Old wine in New bottle!

Contd….

Same old, same old – Old wine in New bottle!

Life treats all alike. It plays by the same rules with every one!

The one who while ‘stopping goes within, connects with himself, corrects his priorities, way of operation, behaviour, values, comes out of ‘rest period’ as a more balanced, happier, content and with clearer vision of himself and how to go about his job, relationship and his life in general.

Why all this talk now and again?

With the advent of New Year most of you must be expecting things to change for better. We naturally assume ‘everything to go to that happy place’ with the press of ‘New Year button’. It is not so! If only it was so, my job would be redundant and I would be spared of all this trouble too!

Then am I to be pessimistic?

I didn’t say that either!

This year will express itself it way! I can’t decide that.

But, the thing that I can decide and act is that this New Year I am going to look at things differently.

I’ll relate differently.

I’ll express differently.

And maybe , hopefully I’ll write differently.

I’ll think differently.

And for this ‘difference’ to be in the right direction I’ll still hold on to old story of regular sadhan, including more techniques in routine and working on being more aware.

Though, all is said in multiple ways and multiple times, most of the ‘sadhaks’ are way too far away from ‘this’ finish line.

So, our portion though would be more or less same, the way it’ll be dealt with will hopefully be different.

After every period of silence, if any of you have noticed, the writing has changed, the presentation has changed and I wish to believe it was for better. This way I don’t see a reason for it to be different than before.

Every break is beautiful. Every break is useful. Every break can be productive. Every break is needed. But all this is understood, accepted with right clarity of thought.

Every break is painful. Every break causes suffering. Every break is an excuse to complain. It becomes an excuse to seek favours. It becomes an excuse to attract attention to self and needs of self. It becomes an excuse to cling to others and justify being irresponsible, coward, undisciplined and above all to seek pity from others. All this and more when our logic is used to create pain and suffering in our lives. All this and more when our intelligence and energy is used to 'be' how we are and where we are as a person!

So - look at self to know how a break has impacted you. Learn from it and do the needful.

Concluded…..

(Indian calendar which is lunisolar based  begins with ‘Ugadi’ that falls in April. So, technically our New Year begins in April with Ugadi.

But with the influx of Western fads and fancies we have come to assume and greet each other ‘New Year Wishes’ on Jan 1st.)

also read : links on being still, doing nothing, going with the flow and such related topics

 Pit falls :

Why are we not able to learn the 'right lesson' from the right experience?

1.Basically because we use our logic to ask wrong questions.

2. Instead of asking questions like "how to make best use of my time/wait/situation?" we ask "When will this end?/ Why me?/ Why doesn't XYZ help me?/ " etc etc...

3. Instead of seeking solutions or ways to deal with the situation we end up praying/asking for ending the present situation.

Hard facts :

Winners and losers both have and face more or less same situations, challenges and failures. But one concentrates on making the best use of it. And the other used all his energy in anger, crying, complaining, finding fault with others, being jealous of others etc etc.....

YOU decided whether you will come out of every situation a better or a bitter person.

Any questions in this topic?

Area to be aware of and correct it when and if you find it:

People accuse Reiki/ system of healing /Guru/people in life (and even dead)/ Universe/God in the name of "SEEKING ANSWERS".

In the above case heal the anger, expectations, demanding nature, conditioning, desire ......

Why it is hard to listen to this suggestion?

Because we end up justifying our demands, feelings, emotions, actions and expectations instead of healing them!

Anyone who finds this useful and who applies this post and its contents, share your experiences, insights and usefulness for others and with others...........
