On receiving consequences of our karma

On receiving consequences of our karma

Dhritarashtra* lived his greed and lust for power through his son. He paid the price ultimately by losing all 100 sons of his. Not only did he become cause of annihilation of his sons, he became cause of annihilation of all the dynasties of that era! One man’s lust for power and the world paid the price for it. if you think it is some imaginary Indian Mythology and it has no relevance in my life, then just look closely at today’s stories.

Hitler is a classic example of lust for power. So many innocent lives taken and all in the name of retaining the ‘pure blood’ and cleansing the Earth of impure race!

Every scam has been the result of ‘that person’s lust’ for power, money and possessions. And every scam put a dent in society’s economic structure. So many lost their hard earned money and lives! When ‘lust’ exhibited by others is wrong, would it be ‘right’ to call ‘ours’ as right and justified – be it in any area of our life?

Others wrong we are so angry with and want to kill them even! And ours, we are angry that Reiki/God is not fulfilling our ‘desire’?

Contd.....

PS : You get your answer if you see for it. But if you think your matter is not discussed here, then you'll not see it and think 'maam is not answering me?!'

Tip : We don't see the 'answer' given because we are seeing from the angle of wanting the solution our way. And here, the basis of 'problem' is dealt with and the way to heal it......

# karma, karma's consequences, law of give and take, as you sow so you receive, law of attraction of Universe, why we receive what we receive,

Questions addressed :

  • Why we receive what we receive?
  • Why we don't receive what we desire?
  • How desire is harmful to us?
  • When and which desires are harmful for us?

Points to be understood :
  • Our suffering and being in pain has nothing to do with the circumstances of life.
  • We will suffer in both the situations - on the fulfillment of desire and its non-fulfillment too! It has nothing to do with the desire. It has to do with the centre from which we desire!
  • Our anger is not the justification of our desire.

Need a feedback :

Every time I write, i feel i am repeating myself like 'nth' time. So, i stop writing and get up. Then later i tell myself, maybe till now the way it was presented was not easy for them to understand. Maybe, if i write this time differently with some other example or story, they will understand this. So, i compel myself to writing.

So, if you feel this topic is written more than required then do let me know, i'll stop writing on that particular topic. Otherwise, you'll get new stories but telling the same thing said again.

Some get it the first time. Some get it with a simple sentence. Some need a story to see the 'obvious'. But which story will strike one can't be told or expected. I can only keep writing different stories hoping this story will put some light on the topic.

These are basic alphabets in the language of spiritual science. Unless you get to learn it right we can't go ahead. I can talk and explain many more things but then it will be just one more 'Harry potter story'. We are not here to learn or hear  stories. We are here to understand the root cause of our pain and suffering and remove all obstacles that stop us from experiencing the abundance in our life. I am just using stories and some examples to explain this. My purpose is not to just tell stories...😊

Once you learn this then in which field you wish to apply depends on you and your desires and priorities.

i can't go ahead unless you pick these 'essential truths'. So i end up with the same old facts and figures.

I promise to get you as many stories as possible to explain every single issue every time. But the purpose of story is same - to drive home the 'truths'.

On receiving consequences of our karma

when others wrong we are so angry with and want to kill them even! And ours, we are angry that Reiki/God is not fulfilling our ‘desire’?

Just because I have a desire, can I say it has to be fulfilled by hook or crook? And when time to bear its consequences comes, end up saying things like –

“But I should be given free pass under Reiki quoto…”

“Maam, save me, I am afraid of my karma coming back..”

“But everyone does…and it is acceptable now-a-days..”

Read the lines multiple time…..

You are saying “I will do as and how I wish but I should not be made responsible for the consequences”. Think for yourself, how right or justified are you in this demand?!

Look at yourself.

Look within.

Understand your intentions, desire and character.

If you can stoop to any level to get your desire fulfilled, so be it!

But then like Ravana, Shakuni have strength to face the downfall and the consequence of every desire fulfilled.

There are two options available to one and all always!

1.Following the path of Dharma and inheriting the kingdom of God. In this path we develop ‘Divine qualities’ like patience, trust, discipline, perseverance, selflessness, charity, sacrifice, truthfulness, simplicity and purity.

Simultaneously we also work on letting go off lust, greed, being adamant, ego, vengeance, anger, hatred, selfishness, jealousy, envy, laziness, indiscipline, irresponsible, lying, falsehood and attachments.

As we work to develop required qualities and let go off asuric qualities, we experience abundance in the form of purity, happiness, love, contentment and peace.

Questions addressed :
  • What are the qualities to be developed to minimize negative karma?
  • What are the qualities to be transformed to reduce negative effect of karma?
Points to be understood :
  • Two persons action being same, results are different. Why? Because of the difference in their intent. Know that and work on the intent.
  • We fool people by covering our intent with logic and justifications. We justify our actions quoting 'right examples in wrong places'. We may end up fooling people to think we are 'good'. But Universe can't be fooled. It gives us back based on our intent not based on how we market ourselves as!
  • Beware! Universe can't be fooled. No one is so intelligent to fool the Universe.
  • Our arguments and logic holds no ground in the field of Universe.
Was this useful?
Did you understand anything different this time?
How is it going to be applied to better your lives?

On receiving consequences of our karma

Your anger is misplaced. No one is going to break this Universal law of Karma only to appease your anger. Remember that!

No amount of explaining all this can give your clarity unless you sit and meditate. Go within. Look within. Know thyself – honestly. It is painful and disgusting – but it is better done now than later. Sooner we own up our desires and know their nature, sooner we can address them the right way.

Sooner we address them, sooner we can experience of abundance in our lives.

Sooner will our suffering end and we would have used our pain to come out of that pain. We would have used pain to become free from our very pain that is killing us since many lives.

Your choice today will decide your destiny and what you receive now onwards.

Your mind will take you down the ‘usual lane’ of pain and suffering with its anger and logical arguments (so called!) OR

You can use your mind to cut through its game and cunningness.

Is your mind using you or are you using your mind? That is the million dollar question that only benefits or breaks you.

Think!

Questions addressed :
  • What are the ways to surmount karma?
  • How to change the way we receive?
  • What should we sow so that we receive as we seek?
points to be understood :
  • No amount of crying our of fear, seeking attention or pity or shouting 'feeling bad' etc will give any respite from what we are supposed to receive.
  • Accept that we are the creators of our fate!
  • Next, bear what we are facing with poise and equanimity!
  • Take charge of how you react to all that you are receiving.
  • Look at your emotions - whatever they are - be them fear, pain, anger, lust, jealous anything - instead of justifying them or supporting them, heal them. Don't ask for reason to heal them. Just heal them. That is the only way to address them.
  • Be patient. Be healing. Be changing for better. Be aware of your intentions and actions. Catch yourself from harmful thoughts.
  • Walk towards light and abundance with clarity of thought.

As we work to develop required qualities and let go off asuric qualities, we experience abundance in the form of purity, happiness, love, contentment and peace.

2.The second path is chosen by those who wish to live life as they desire – without any rules of Dharma to correct, stop or guide them.

No one can question them their choice?! It is their right. But, with every right comes responsibility too! Here too! He is responsible for his actions and hence should bear consequences of his acts!

You can’t follow second path and demand the goodies of the first path.

You can’t say ‘I want what I want the way I want’ and then seek asylum under ‘first’ category.

Ravana was given the title of being the ‘Greatest Shiva Bhaktha’ and yet he met his end and his downfall for his acts. His bhakthi gave him benefits that he deserved for it. His suffering is the result of his karma. Mixing up both and coming up with ‘twisted logic’ doesn’t get you anywhere.

Your anger is misplaced. No one is going to break this Universal law of Karma only to appease your anger. Remember that!

Questions addressed :
  • I am doing sadhan regularly. I am a great bhaktha. That should be enough to protect me against my negative karma. right?
  • Can a person who is doing reiki regularly get away with wrong deeds and thoughts?
Points worth mentioning :
  • Karma's effect can be negated by those who have stopped the negative karmas completely and are living only for others and in service of others.
  • Condonement of sins is received out of His Grace. It is not an entitlement. It is not your right. It can't be demanded.
  • Only the humble in heart, free of ego, person who is pure is eligible to receive his grace.
  • Become pure and receive His Grace!

On receiving Grace

On receiving Grace

Dear one,

You have been wronged – I understand.

You are hurt – I understand.

You are denied your right – I understand.

And you are angry, hurt and frustrated – I understand.

You wish to see the persons who hurt you be hurt. You feel powerless, helpless and hopeless. You feel bad.

You can’t see the wrong having good time – I understand.

If, (I say – IF!?) he has wronged, he’ll suffer his karma – when his time comes.

If he’s slapped you today, he won’t be slapped tomorrow. That’s not how karma works!

It has its own timetable. But it’ll slap him!

There are no buts and ifs here – be rest assured!

“I love this ‘karma’. Every person who has hurt me will be dealt with” says you!

Look into this ‘Law’ closely. Does it say ‘special excuses to people belonging to XYZ category’?

No – Rama and Krishna (Both considered incarnations of Lord Vishnu – one of the Trinity Gods of Hinduism) weren’t left out of it!

No one is left out of receiving consequences of karma.

So as you are happy when the wrong doer receiver punishment, then also know and accept, you’ll also receive consequences of your karma.

Points to be considered :

  • What exactly is the Law of karma and how it functions?
  • It is so easy to see the wrong done to us and justify our wrongs. That is the cause of pain and suffering!
  • Clarity is when we can see our actions and others in the same light and apply same rule for both!
  • What we wish for others is exactly what we are attracting for ourselves! Be aware of it!

Share a thought or feeling :

How does greenery make you feel?
What does looking at sunset affect you?
or any such thought or feeling.....

A look at a tree or any of its parts - say flower, leaf, branch anything makes me stop then and there and marvel at the beauty of the life and the greatness of its Creator!
Trees in all their forms and shapes fill me with happiness and I am not aware of the daily 'painful facts' of my life!
They enrich me with peace, smile and a twinkle in my eye!

Me, my guru – No good done ever goes to waste!

Contd....

Me, my guru – No good done ever goes to waste!

“The good thing about his “Law of Karma” is that it works both ways. That means not only does our good come back, despite coming way later than our expectations” our Guru continued with a chuckle. We all joined her “Our bad actions also do come back to us! As it doesn’t come immediately, we realize we are not as lucky as others and hence are denied goodies of our life. We feel we are insulted by others when we don’t deserve it. We are cheated even when we did good. But, we forget our memory can support us to this lifetime only. But what about all that happened before that? If ‘lucky’ is the result of some good done in the past, the unjust and uncalled-for bad that we face is the result of some wrong we had done long back. Imagine all the wrongs that we do in this life are received by us immediately, can we take it? So, it is spread through janmas as piecemeal. That is HIS Grace! That is HIS love for us.

Of course, even to understand that we should’ve done a considerable amount of healing. Otherwise, even in HIS Grace, we’ll find excuses to hurl abuses at HIM.

So, to sum up, every good and bad karma of ours finds its way back into our lives at its appointed date of maturity. So, since we can’t change the past, let’s just concentrate on being a little more aware of our daily thoughts and actions. Let’s increase the credit balance with some good acts and thoughts in “the Karma Bank Account”. As far as possible, let’s avoid generating negative thoughts and actions” our Guru concluded.

“So are we to suffer because of our past karma? I am afraid of facing it. Help me Guruji” cried Vaishnav.

On receiving Grace

No one is left out of receiving consequences of karma.

So as you are happy when the wrong doer receiver punishment, then also know and accept, you’ll also receive consequences of your karma.

Then, what about Grace?

What about healing?

What’s the use of healing?

Healing doesn’t qualify a person to live a life of ‘adharma’ and get away with it.

Healing has stages to it.

First, you accept the way you’ve lived, acted, said, thought had been wrong and not as per dharma.

Second, which ever area you have been wrong, you’ll stop living the ‘wrong way’ from now.

It is like this – you know by drinking alcohol, aerated drinks* our system gets spoiled and yet you gulp down couple of bottles daily and are surprised that your organs has deteriorated over the years. And you are angry that Reiki didn’t help you?!

It’s like saying I’ll do Reiki and drive a bike at 200 kmph without helmet or brakes especially on a mountain range.

And you are proud of your logic and mind that comes with such arguments and statements to support your behaviour, desire and acts?

*(The great intelligent mind argues: But I don’t even drink tea or coffee maam…..really? That’s how you are processing this example? And you are falling on the logic provided by this mind to justify how you feel or why you feel? )

Points to be considered :
  • Are you using your intelligence and mind to justify your desires and actions?
  • Are you using your intelligence and mind to find faults in others and their behaviour?
  • If answer to one or both of the above questions is yes, then know that 'mind' of yours to be your 'best enemy'.
  • You don't need any other curse from outside to traumatise you.
  • Your mind is the cause of your suffering and pain.
  • Your mind is the creator of your 'cursed destiny'.
  • Your mind is the reason why you don't receive 'Grace' from any of these - God/Universe/reiki/guru
  • Address your mind and then....
  • Stop looking for the fulfillment of your desire. Stop justifying your desire. Start working on your mind! Be smart enough to use your desire, its fulfillment, your pain to know where the 'source' of your problem lies!

Me, My Guru – On karma explained – Bhagavatam

Me, My Guru – On karma explained – Bhagavatam

Today, I wasn’t in a good mood. I was agitated. I was irritated. So, it took quite a bit of hard work from my end to push myself towards ‘class’ today! Honestly speaking, I was in no mood to come. But, Rahul’s phone call did the trick. He always reached me when I was low. I don’t remember what he said. But, I always ended up coming to class. And the good part of this story was I went back home less stressed and relieved. This has happened so many times over the years. And yet, I still remained my brooding, complaining and excuse-using type.

I came and sat at the back. I was late for the class – but obviously! Rahul smiled at me when I took a seat. He seemed both happy and relieved.

Our class was in progress as I entered. Someone asked, “Why did Guru Drona and Bheeshma, who were following dharm all their lives die in the Kurukshetra war?”

Our Guru smiled and replied “That is exactly the question Rukmini asked Lord Krishna after the war. And very lovingly Krishna replied “Yes indeed! All through their lives, they followed Dharm. But, their one act of adharm brought their death in the war! When Draupadi was being insulted and disrobed in the “Rajya sabha” they sat silent being the silent spectators of the ‘grave sin’ that was being executed there. One who commits the sin is the ‘sinner’. He will reap its consequences accordingly. But, one who is a silent spectator of that wrong being committed is a ‘greater sinner’ than the perpetrator of that sin as per Dharm. So, they faced such a death in the Kurukshetra war due to their ‘that sinful act’ – that they were part of during ‘Draupadi vastrapaharanam’. Your good act (punya) can’t be used to negate or do away with the repercussions of your wrong act (paap).

As soon as our Guru concluded completing Krishna’s answer, one among us pounced on her with the next question “But Karna was such a data (giver, philanthropist, generous person). He never said no to anyone who came seeking alms from him. He even gave away his kavach (armour which became one with his body and skin) and kundal to Lord Indra when Indra sought alms from Karna. He knew giving it away would be fatal to his life. He knew by doing this, he would become vulnerable to death and yet, he gave happily. Then why did he die in the war?”

# bhagavatam, Krishna and Rukmini, Karna, how karma works, karma, one act of injustice can overdo the lifetime of good done.

Questions addressed and points to ponder:

  • Can our negative acts be negated with right acts?
  • Can we cheat karma?
  • Are good and bad  karma balanced and the person faces the balance that is remaining only?
