Just a thought!

(P.S: check the link of previous post now!hope it works now)

Just a thought! (on religion)

Everyone has an opinion about everyone and everything!

Everyone knows how ‘every other’ person ought to behave and conduct himself!

Image result for religion quotes

Everyone knows ‘what is right’ and ‘what is wrong’ in others character!

Image result for religion quotes

Everyone has a say in the way ‘justice’ is to be met!

Everyone feels ‘good’ and thinks he is a ‘responsible’ citizen by feeling angry at the events in the society!

Everyone thinks ‘he is protecting his religion when he vents out ‘his’ anger, frustration on to ‘other’ religion and its followers!

Image result for religion quotes

But how many want to make ‘concrete’ and constructive steps in making the right changes in the society?

How many ‘know’ about their religion in reality? How many live the ‘ethics’ of their religion without bending it as per their convenience?

Image result for religion quotes

How many work towards ‘being the change’ (in constructive and productive way only)  that they want to see?

Points to ponder :

  • We talk proudly about 'our' religion (whatever that is). But how many of us know what 'it' means and stands for?
  • let's us with basics - answer few questions and see for yourself - what does 'your religion' mean to you?
  • what and how do you think 'it' differs from other religions?
  • what are the things etc that prove that you are 'a true follower' of 'your religion'?
  • are you religious?
ask any other or such related questions to see and understand what religion stands for for you?

on religion...

Contd………..

Christianity : This is little older and is 2000 years old and in actuality isn’t a religion on its own just as Islam. Jesus himself was a Jew just as Buddha and Mahaveera were Hindu Kshatriya Princes. Jesus revolted against rituals followed in the churches by Jewish Rabbi and questioned them on the purity of their intent. He said mere physicality wasn’t enough of a prayer but one needed to surrender one’s will completely to God to drink of His Grace and become His vehicle and thereby inherit the kingdom of God.

Can’t you see the similarity here again of all these principles with ‘Bhakthi Philosophy’ of Hinduism? It is!  That is because Jesus vanished from Jerusalem at around his 14th year and returned only after his 30th year of age. The missing period of his life is never discussed or sought after by ‘blindly believing Christians’. It is found in Tibetan Monastery of India in Himalayas (in the manuscript 2000yrs old) that Jesus did come here and studied Vedic philosophy, various meditation techniques, practiced them and left when he became ‘Enlightened’. That’s why he could say ‘forgive them for they know not what they do’ of his oppressors who were nailing him to death on the cross. No where he talks about conversion – but only of believing in the God and the path where in one developed qualities of compassion, mercy, forgiveness, treating all as self (treat thy neighbour as you would want to be treated) as such of qualities.

Treating all as self is the ‘concept of non-duality’ of Hinduism. So, he never taught killing. Yet all the genocide of Jews happened in the name of Jesus. He preached right. The followers were at fault. They couldn’t love enough. They killed ‘the embodiment of love on cross’ and once done with him, they had to divert the hatred within themselves somewhere and so they used it in the name of their religion to slaughter all whom they thought were inferior to them.

But if you look into mystics in this religion, say St.Francis of Assisi or St.Theresa – their spiritual ecstasy, experiences, way of life and sayings correlate with mystics of any other religion.

On Teachers Everybody – Me, My Guru

Contd....

Failures are those who use all their energy and time on finding fault in others, complaining, proving others wrong and in destruction. You decide what you want to be? A failure or a successful person? Either way, you reap benefits of your choice! We can’t say “I want to be successful and happy and yet be cringing on others success and proving to be wrong or bad. You just can’t. So know the consequences of your act and then do it.

As Rahman in his Oscar  winning speech said “At every turn I had a choice to choose between love and hatred. I choose love everytime and here I am”. Your love for one neednot and cannot be the seed of hatred for other. It just isn’t love then.

That is devilish nature and that nature and that nature for sure cannot give you ‘jannat’ – heaven even if ‘you die’ in the name of love – even if that love if for the religion and God you believe and that has been told by your religious head!

If you can’t believe Rama or Krishna, then don’t waste your entire life preaching to people that they didn’t exist or that they were mere princes and not God. Because, if all their proofs be true, then people like me will revere them more from then onwards. Why? Previously, I was praying to them thinking they were Divine Incarnations. But now that I know they were ordinary people, then I would Idolize them and do ‘hero-worship’ them. Yes, if as an ordinary human they could express such gem of a character, then kudos to their personality. Now, I would look to them for inspiration every hour of the day. Because if they can then even I can. They have opened up the ‘possibility of me’ being a ‘super-hero’ by leading by example. Wouldn’t my love for them increase multi-folded times? Of course, it would!

Someone comes to prove that Jesus was married, then I would say “wow. He, Rama and Krishna being married could be so balanced, then why can’t I? They lead a life similar to me yet were so spiritual and followed the path of Dharma. They never compromised on their principles and character. So how can I give an excuse of my family to get away with all my faults and wrong-doings?”

And to people who believe, don’t be angry or hurt by people who come to prove you, your beliefs and your religion, God wrong. Know them to be failures with nothing constructive to do. But you don’t sit to condemn them. Don’t waste your precious and limited energy on such negative people. As it is Reiki that we do is little, then why waste all that we received on arguing or thinking about how wrong they are? Just disconnect yourself from their existence and channelize all your energies on building up something useful, good and beautiful in your life”.

Ramesh sat with head bent all through. He simply murmured “sorry” at the end.

“Oh, don’t” correct Rahul and Aziz immediately. Thanks to you, we benefitted with such a lecture. We used to hate people of particular group and particular religion. But now we are clear on that. That cult and group people who talk ill of Rama and Krishna need not be credited with existence at all! Infact, we have already started healing them and are free of irritation towards them. We feel so light already. These people of other religion who kill in the name of their God – now we can only pray for them to be shown the right path. Now we know that what they are doing is because of their wrong assumption “If I am right, all others should be wrong and hence wiped out”. So now we are just against their ‘wrong notion and thought’ and not against them. So relax even with your ‘wrong’ you’ve done us good”.

On religion and peace!

On religion and peace!

More wars are fought in the name of religion than anything else.....religion is for peace and to develop divine qualities in us and if it does not do it, does it matter which religion I follow?

Think about it!

On Deepavali – On reviving the Rama within and killing Ravana within

On Deepavali – On reviving the Rama within and killing Ravana within

This Deepavali, let’s do lanka dahan the right way!

We see “Raavan Dahan”. We go to attend “Ram leela” every year maybe too!

But, is it just a drama that we are attending. Are we going to enjoy just the theatrics of Ramleela?

Read “  https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/2022/10/deepavali-festival-of-lights-2022.htm” to revive Rama within.

We enjoy killing Raavan. We enjoy burning the effigy of Raavan and think we are “Good hindus”. But is it all there is to be a “good Hindu”? Raavan represents the Asuric nature within every human born. It is not about a person. It is about the quality of ‘an asura’. Now, do we have ‘asuras’ in present time?

So, let’s visit the meaning of “asura” first. Asura is a quality that says a person who is asuric in nature revels in harming others. He doesn’t think twice before hurting and even killing children, women and old people. He derives sadistic pleasure in the pain and suffering that he causes to his fellow human beings and life in general. Sometimes, he has personal agenda, like in the case of Raavan, it was his lust for women that he caused so much of pain to women folk at large and also to their family members.

But, a person who kills others in the name of caste, religion and God also comes under the category of a asura. Every time, in history whenever a person /society had targeted a particular caste or religion to mass murder, it is a asuric nature and act in force. Such person or persons are asuras in present day. Do they belong to any particular religion or region? No, never! They are found in every religion and region. Wherever there is hatred, mass killings in the name of honour or God there is asuric nature in action.

Me, my Guru – On gaining clarity of thought

Me, my Guru – On gaining clarity of thought

10 Powerful Socrates Quotes That Will Change the Way You Think

“But our question is ‘what is the technique?’ asked Vaishnav irritated.

27 Powerful Socrates Quotes To Change Your Vision About Life ...
“Just empty your mind of the all the clutter that it holds. With clutter gone, clarity of thought expresses itself. It is there already. You can’t get it from outside. Attitudes like anger, complaining nature, selfishness, hatred etc clouds clarity of thought. Only a person who is healed of this actually develops clarity of thought. A heart that is filled hatred can’t have a mind that thinks right, though many times it assumes it does” she concluded.

Socrates Quotes About The Youth And Everyone Ready For A Positive ...
No doubt, we didn’t find it easy to understand inspite of understanding the words that she uttered. And that’s why we ended up asking same questions again and again. We thought we understood but in actuality we didn’t. It took years of healing to understand just this. I wonder how long it would take to understand something more!?

But she had said once “Process of healing is not difficult or lengthy. It’s just that we don’t want to let go of our lesser emotions. We identify with them. We have our own twisted logical reasoning to own them. We feel we can’t survive without them. And that is the reason we can’t and don’t want to let them go!”

Socrates Quotes | QuoteHD
“Let’s start small” suggested Swathi. “Let’s stop complaining about our life. Let’s just work on that and see how it goes for next at least three months”

Few of us didn’t find it palatable but still couldn’t do anything as most of us wanted to go ahead with that suggestion. As we processed we realized even that was going to be a herculean task for us to implement.

Socrates Quotes on Our Prayers and Blessings - abrainyquote
But now that we had taken a ‘mass oath’ we were stuck with this for some time to come.

And time was to tell how it benefited most of us who practiced it with consistency and vigour during these times. Sometimes, solution is so simple if we are ready to accept it!

I had asked our Guru once "Why can't we let go of our beliefs in the first place?".

She had smiled and replied "Identification with our beliefs is the reason we don't let go of them! The day we realise beliefs are mine, I am not the belief, I'll be able to let go of it. The day we realise our emotions, likes and attitudes are ours but they are not "us", we would let go of them too!"

She had answers to our questions. And yes they were simple and straight forward most of the time. It was our heart and mind that messed up with the answers which made it difficult to implement them in our lives and ourselves. And therein lay our 'freedom'. The day we understood this, every issue of self and the world can be healed - be it personal or global like wars, supremacy, conversions and killings in the name of war and what not!

And yet, we didn't want what we wished for it seems. Because if we really wanted what we said we wished for, wouldn't we let go of all that prevented our wish from coming true?!

Concluded......

# clarity of thought, healing self, anger, perception,

Points to be understood :
  • Even to understand and accept that 'we don't know' we need to heal ourselves first.
  • Assuming 'we know' is the biggest bane and this ignorance is a curse we carry with ourselves due to our stupidity and fear.
  • A person who is so stupid would automatically be adamant and adhere to his beliefs. And that causes him to pay a heavy price all through his life. No God need curse him. No God need punish him.
  • Have beliefs and perceptions but also be flexible with them. Doubt your beliefs and question them. You will find a way out of your suffering sooner than later that way.
  • No person from outside can help you unless you break 'these walls' from inside.
  • Be a friend unto yourself!
  • Be gentle with self!
  • Knowing what to hold on to and what to let go is a lesson that takes life times to learn......

Covid Challenge :

I hope all of you are still with Covid Challenge. Don't get lazy. Don't give excuses.
You are not answerable to me. You are working out, doing exercises for your healthy.
Not to please me - remember that and so don't give reasons for not doing exercises. Find ways to do exercises.
How much weight you have lost is not important. You have to increase stamina. That is important. Many life style diseases can be kept at bay just by doing regular exercises.
Everyone wants to live long - what is the fun of having long life if it is lived with pains and sufferings? What is the fun of living so with medicines all through the day?
Keep yourself fit and fine. You can enjoy life and experience life to the fullest with good stamina.
Inspire and include your children and elders too to do exercise with  you. Don't force it on them. Just include them. May be just simple ones, but include them wherever possible!

Clarity Tip :

Regarding 'sarva jana sukhino bhavanthu..' comment - read the link given in the previous post to understand how and why we don't let go of our beliefs. That is the basis of our 'differentiation'. As long as we think we are different and we need to be 'one up over the other' we would fight, kill, manipulate, cheat, hate and do all such related activities in the name of self respect, religion, nationality, sex, caste, creed and growth.

Only when we see the 'oneness' will this stop!

read related posts to know further on this topic : https://kantipadam.blogspot.com/search?q=on+religion (I know the link is long but it would answer most of the questions you have and may be also give you solution you are searching for........if you have patience also read link on 'on healing earth' which will explain every question on healing the earth )

on religion....

Contd…….

Next when his character develops empathy, compassion and viveka (power of discrimination) he looks at the concepts of religions. Here, he stops looking at followers and their conduct. He studies only the concepts and finds the similarity of various concepts in all religions. Here he is unifying various religions under the head of ‘concept’.

When his growth expands and he enters ‘intuitive zone’ of understanding, he steps into spiritual realms of ‘Reality’ where his various experiences and understanding that comes with knowing (this knowing cannot be had through books or discourses, but only through meditation) gives him power to love – love beyond boundaries and as it expands and encompasses all, it gradually breaks one boundary of understanding after the other. Here the expanse of his understanding increases as he looks at others more as ‘souls’ than as individuals with body and its attachments ( viz. Name, case, nationality, sex, religion etc).

This is the first step in his journey of finding that ‘oneness’ among the ‘All that is’ and here he no more bothers for what religion you follow for he has experienced that each religion is just a step or a stage that is required in the journey of the soul.

He is sympathetic towards all and their flaws, frails and mistakes because he knows they are required to reach where he is now. He hates none!

Does it mean I don’t do anything seeing all this wrong happening?

Ofcourse you do need to do a lot. But worry and getting anger are not in that list. As already explained if I hate Muslim, I am born as one. (Read Brian Weiss’s Many Lives, Many Maters). You become the object of your dislike or love as the case may be. Remember all asuras merging into Vishnu because they kept hating him all through.

Even scientifically it’s been proved by west. One white woman gave birth to a black boy and her husband (white) sued her. She had paternity test done and the DNA matched. Doctors were stunned. Then they found that that lady had a photo of a black man in her room regularly during her pregnancy period. So, it was proved that whatever a person thinks of regularly and repeatedly becomes that. Read story of Jada Bharath in my blog.

Homam

Jai shree Gajanand Maharaj ki!

Along with the creation of the universe the Almighty Father revealed the ultimate knowledge to the mankind in the form of the Vedas. The word Veda originates from the Sanskrit Verbal root ‘Vid” meaning to know. ‘Vedas’ mean pure knowledge. This revelations was made in a very subtle manner in the hearts of pure and pious minded Rishis. Rishi means seer. Vedas are not composed. Vedas is the knowledge of the Divine. It does not belong to any particular religion or faith.

The five fold path of the Sanathana Dharma (Eternal Religion) is the essence of Vedas.

· Yagnya (Agnihotra) – for the purification of atmosphere
· Daan-sharing of assets in the spirit of humility
· Tapa (Self Discipline)
· Karma (Right Action)
· Swadhyaya (Self Study) for liberation

You may follow any religion under the sun. You may choose to be an atheist too! But to become a perfect member of your own society you should first be a good human being with pure and peaceful mind. That is inculcated in you by the Agnihotra.

It is just not one more of the ritual. It’s main purpose is to develop the surrendrance to the ultimate knowledge and to drop our greatest enemy – ego.

While practicing Agnihotra we chant ‘Idam Na Mama’ that is ‘Not Mine, Thy will be done’. This slowly helps you to drop your greatest foe ego and prepares you for liberation.

Few Benefits of performing Agnihotra in every house would be:
· Agnihotra is performed at sunset and sunrise which is referred to as ‘Transitional Moments’. Vedas describe this particular period of Time as the ‘Passage of Liberation’. When we cross a river, we look for a shallow place. This is called as ‘Tirtha Sthan’. Similarly, the fathomless unending ocean of miserable worldly life is shallow at the transitional moments of Sunrise and Sunset. Every man follows a particular pattern of breathing during the period of sunrise to sunset to sunrise. Exactly at the time of transition, they too are in a the process of transition during which short time the ‘Sushumna’ nadi is active. We are performing Agnihotra at this time to get maximum benefits.
· It creates pure, clean and medicinal atmosphere.
· It cleanses the negative effects of pollution.
· It spreads the vibrations of peace and love and cleanses the Prana.
· Medicinal properties in the Agnihotra atmosphere restrict the growth and spread to pathogenic bacteria.
· The sacred ash from Agnihotra has beneficial effects on Agriculture. Many farms in and outside India have benefited from their use. Fertilizers and pesticides have been done away with.
· The unending ‘healing cycle’ and the protection cycle is formed in the house and the areas where it is regularly performed.

And the benefits are more…I request all those of you who are practicing Agnihotra to come out with your experiences (don’t label them as big or small). Experience is an experience. Share with one and all here on the blog too!

Suggest Agnihotra to non-Reiki channels too! Even they will be benefited hugely. Reiki channels have an added advantage of awareness and can feel the vibratory shifts happening around during and after the Homam.

on religion....

Contd……….

Why does this happen and whose fault is it?

If you look at the larger picture, may be nobody is at fault.

Why it happens – every soul reincarnates in a certain circumstance to learn and unlearn some quality – say love and hatred. Depending upon its past karma, it is given few choices to make while choosing a life that it wishes to lead. This life has circumstances that are conducive to the growth of ‘that particular soul’. But whether that soul makes right choices or not once it incarnates is questionable. It may or may not. If it makes wrong choices, again it is counseled by higher energies after death and again given a set condition where it can learn its lesson right this time. This continues till it has learnt its lesson right. This is one school where you can’t choose not to learn ‘something’ out of choice. Every lesson is a must.

So if I spend this life hating a Jew, I would be born as one next life and vice-versa till I understand that all are basically one – both in terms of matter (made up of five basic elements), emotions (have same as that of lust, anger, greed, ego, envy and jealousy) and even in spirit we are one!

But before this understanding we suffer various stages of differentiation.

So you see a person who is barbaric, converting others either through force or bribery or a fanatic assuming only the form that pleases him is ‘God’ and all other forms are wrong belong to ‘souls’ who are in this journey as already explained earlier. They are at the lower stage on spiritual path.

Imagine spiritual growth to be a ladder where at the lowest is that person who finds ‘differentiation’ at its peak as he looks only at the physicality of religions i.e., the rituals language etc of the religion.
When the soul grows in character of openness and gives emphasis on the mental aspect, then he looks at the mental aspect of the religion. He understand the whys and how’s of various rituals of questioning with openness and not with cynicism and becomes more aware that rituals of various paths have same purpose  then he respects a ritual for its purpose and doesn’t judge it for how it is done.

(All this is explained in detail in (my) Karuna reiki class and other higher degree classes little by little...so those you have attended higher degrees would be able to understand what is being said here more clearly...)
